the way that you write and deliver is absolutely incredible, you perfectly incapsulate how i feel about doomscrolling/the internet in general. my entire family tends to doomscroll, especially my dad and it makes me so sad seeing him scroll and scroll and scroll for hours on end, i want to do something but i don't really know what. you're criminally underrated dude

My fear of AI is its ease of use, we as humans will always choose the path of least resistance; but its far more complex than that, we are humans, after all; my fear is that our desire to create will die against the endless tide of AI, and eternal production line that will come from it; will AI kill our will to create? Not our desire, not out ability, but to be so engulfed by fear to create, fear of failure, fear to learn; terror to create something and have it be not worth it. When the next scroll, the next hit, is right there, and that many means of our creativity in this age, are still to interact next to, or within the maelstrom of a ouroboros, that are the sites of our common age, so choked by dopamine. I wonder if AI will trap us in the fear to think, in fact not AI, just our culture, AI is just the amalgam that represents the terror of our state; will our culture drive itself to be so afraid of the world that it seeks refuge in eternal content? Maybe!? The question is when will the spark catch? When will our creativity die? When will the resurrection of our human drive to create begin? But that is an overexaggeration, there will always be the world, one so big that there will always be places of true creativity; but our world is online now, bound forever in this new age that I was born into, and I wonder when in this world, one driven by the worst facets of our human condition, will collapse into its own pleasure. Well that was pretentious, thanks for reading! I dont think our internet will collapse for a while of a time, and I dont think it will go quietly, but I think it will go, for a time, if but only to return in a feverish fire of pure creation. I hope AI will help us in the things that only serve to slow, and chip, at the problems and frustrations of our world; but I think we first must see what it is like, to give us, as people, a endless dosage of what has kept us progressing as a species for so long. Pleasure... PS: Its 2am and I wanted to write something overly serious for fun, so that's where this came from.

I wish that such a beautiful talent could allow one to live quietly and help it grow. I'd love to support you economically but I'm still not in position to make my own money, tho Ima try getting my 1st small job this summer. I also like writing in my free time. Not novels, but rather short abstract stories, and although the uncertainty and remoteness of the future is in part what makes life interesting I'd love to know if the day of tomorrow I'll be able to, like you, look in retrospective and at least feel the satisfaction of knowing that I embraced what I love doing.

This is the first of your essays that I've listened to, and I just want to say it's also one of the first youtube essay I've listened to all the way through in a hot minute. Even if it seems long, it's one of the better pieces of writing I've heard. There's no unnecessary repetition or long, drawn out rants that don't seem to matter. Also, the concept of time is very fascinating. I like to contemplate the blip that individual human lives are, while at the same time being placed in so much infinity. Anyway, great stuff you're doing!

this is beyond inspiring. recently my grandfather had a stroke in front of me and it really affected me. as someone who's also lost in life just trying to chase a dream, who's been recently faced with the reality of our mortality and who particularly struggles with living presently and anxious thoughts this video really deeply resonates.
