What a joke of a video.
fuque ya... so much nice than jack stands.
trying to find out how to lock the cams looking everywhere. this is a useless video
how did you hold the cams ¿?????????????????
How long did that setup last
Good job! Very helpful! Thank you!
use a motorcycle jack
Awesomeness
I feel like you should do more videos because for some reason your videos just make sense more detailed so thanks 🎉
Have gone away from poly bushings and back to rubber in mounts and suspension bushes. Poly is too hard.
What was you pinion depth?
New carrier new gears no measuring the crush washer shining nothing
Dumbass, please stop wrenching on stuff
Hey Nick I'm actually changing out the bushings on my 76 Nova. I have the same bushing kit, could you tell witch is the top and bottom having a heck of a time
What gear ratio did u go with. Do u remember the engine rpm at 50mph with the 3 speed
Go to gear rpm calculator if your curious. A th350 is 1:1 ratio in 3rd gear
Where can I get the kit?
What year car
I’m trying to ask. This rearend. Looks like mine. I’m having trouble one axle bad 26 spline 29 5/8 inch 10bolt 7.5. I can’t find axle can I use all this for mine
Thanks
DEFINATELY SAFER THAN ANY " RATCHETING " JACK-STANDS.....
they seem kinked at the bends
To get that stuck piston out install a grease nipple make sure not to buggar the threads use your grease gun works well without doing any damage
The unsprung weight of 500 lbs wouldn’t sit on your front tire my guy…
Did you lock the camshafts when replacing the phasers and chain?
I did it with Woodglut.
Good morning. I just love your videos! I have rebuilt my TH350 and have some experience with installing transmissions. I have a question about bolting the torque converter to the flexplate.... Since the torque converter sags ever so slightly from its own weight when resting in the transmission, prior to bolting to the flexplate,, should you lift it up ever so slightly (take the weight off) as you tighten the first torque converter to flexplate bolt? Or just pull it forward and bolt up without lifting on it?
Made us sit through the gasket removal, but skipped the splitting of the pump itself?
So, no case spreader needed??
yes to have all those parts off begging to be cleaned and a fresh coat of paint applied it would almost be criminal not to do so!
Misleading title for sure.
How long did it take to do this job?
I just finished rebuilding my th350 and have it in the car. The transmission performs well (shifting, etc...) But I have an issue with tranny fluid (about a pint or so) pushing out the tranny dip stick when I shut the engine off. After diagnosing the problem I blew air into the dip stick to check the that the breather vent isn't blocked in any way. I removed the vent tube and found that the passage way to the breather vent cap doesn't vent. So the tranny is building up pressure and blowing out the fluid through the dip stick tube. I followed all steps when rebuilding and can't figure out what the blocked is caused from. Anyone have any ideas before I pull the tranny from the car and take it apart again. Thanks for your help Does the front pump seal have an air passage way for the breather vent? Maybe I didn't get it right. The tranny is low on fluid as well, my buddy thinks it is caused by cavitation of the fluid but I'm not convinced yet.
Did you ever figure out the cause of the blockage?
@@bluegrasskid yes I did get it figured out and fixed. After pulling out the transmission I took the front cover off and sure enough…I had the gasket on wrong. It was miss aligned and the vent passage way was blocked. Put it all back together and it’s working great. A lesson learned for sure!!! I took the pickup for a test drive and let it heat up and no more problems. I’ll be posting a video of its first test drive soon. Thanks for watching
Question can the 1979 HONDA CB750 K REAR COWL be removed and replaced with older or newer non cowl older seat fenders?
Part number for seal at 8:00?
What happens if you pull the trans without the converter?
looks like a fkin nightmare
Lol
did you replace the little rubber rings on the caliper bolts or did you not think it was necessary?
I’m in your same situation, my name is also nick
What are those things you used to tap the bushing and steal back in??
Much, much safer than jack stands. 👍
Your kickdown cable is not adjusted correctly
This is the safest way to raise a car without extending jackstands which would put you into a unsafe situation. Well done fella. Nice logic too.
I wanna know how you got the car on all that cribbing?
Me too.
Just a suggestion. If you make jig to hold the tranny upright ( vertical ) Parts will fall into place much easier !!!!!
Your vid helped me from about 520 to 600 min thanks man
nick, the housing criss here in western Washington is out of control I cant even find a house with room for rent with garage to do my own mechanical repairs. Where are you located?
