Installation of the rack and bag were super easy. Overall, install took about 10 minutes for the rack and 2 minutes for the bag. The rack is great but could benefit from a better matte finish, as well as a taller cent...

Links to Everything! linktr.ee/offroadrodeo Back in April, Kelsey and I went home to hang out with my family. It was my mom’s birthday so I wanted to see her and my grandfather lives with my parents now so I got to spend some time with him, too. As is the case anytime I go home, I made sure to bring my motorcycle and my mountain bike. The Ridgeline handled the journey like a champ and delivered...

Links to Everything! linktr.ee/offroadrodeo In March, I made a long overdue trek to Pensacola, FL to see Tyler. The purpose of the trip was to hang and celebrate his 30th birthday. It had been a long while since I had been in Pensacola. The last time I visited was in March of 2016. The trip down went really well. It was the first long drive in the Ridgeline since purchasing it and the truck was...

Links to Everything! linktr.ee/offroadrodeo Back in February, John and I took a ride on an unusually warm Monday. Though we both have CT125's we both opted for our bigger bikes. John rode his KLX300 and I rode the XR150. We took off from John's place in Asheville and made our way down to Zirconia, NC where we picked up Green River Road. After 6 miles of pavement we finally hit dirt. John had fo...

Sorry for the radio silence everyone! It’s been a cold January and I haven’t been riding the two wheeled machines. I don’t feel like dumping it on ice on my way to work! In December, Kelsey and I drove back to Pennsylvania to spend some time with our families. We took my “trusty” 2007 Kia Sportage LX V6 4WD. It got us there and back just fine but in the back of my mind I knew it might have been...

2023 Honda XR150L: First Impressions and Off-Road Test
Nice video. I grew up in lattimer. Live in drums now. Definitely going to try and find that road along the river off of oley valley road
This should be batt operated sir.
Be sure to stay on the trails marked for motorized vehicles. Those single tracks are non-motorized only. Miles and miles are excellent off-road riding in Blackwater. Nice video.
Why pull the clutch lever when in neutral to start the bike?
I think its kind of a habit thing. Just making sure anytime I start the bike I pull the clutch in, just in case its in gear or something.
Thanks for the detailed video! It looks like a good upgrade for my bike even though is already has some connectivity function (suzuki myspin). Very nice and simple interface
Its honestly a really great display. It requires some patience but it would be a great addition to any bike I think!
I know this is an old one, but I appreciate the video! I'm looking for a Scout 290 frame (which ain't easy to find lol) to build as you did. I'm actually the same height as you, with the same inseam. How has that XL-sized frame worked out for you?
@Off-RoadRodeo So did has the XL size been good? How do you think it would have been on an L or XXL?
I got the 2023 version. I think they might have upgraded the chain. 1400miles and it’s exactly at 1 1/4”.
That's good, I'm glad they did that. The stock chain from the 2021 was not good.
The TW200 looks better.
Agreed honestly!
what is the second drain plug for?
Love your videos man! Thanks for helping! ❤❤❤
Thank you for watching!
He man, does your bike have to be street legal to ride there or are they ohv trails
I'm not a resident of Florida but I believe I read that any bike that uses trails in the state forest needs to be street legal with tags, lights, and blinkers.
no fuel gauge?
Fuel gauge on the CT125 but not the XR150
Took off from mars hill to make this ride today. Beautiful ride. Thanks for showing me.
That makes me so happy to read that. I hope you had a great ride!
HONDA XR15OL Да это ж почти альфа. У нас в России есть китайские мопеды которые выглядят так же а то и лучше.
August 2024. I am purchasing a Honda XR150L tomorrow in eastern Minnesota. MSRP was $3000. With handling, Registration, Sales Tax (around 8%) it comes to $4007. Perhaps I could have hunted around more but I decided I was OK with the price, within the context of living here. FYI, I saw a comment elsewhere that in the Philippines you can buy the same 150cc Honda equivalent machine for $1750, w/ all fees, a free full face helmet and some bonus gas. In India you can get the 100 cc equivalent the Honda "Shine" for $750. But where do you really want to live? In the last 8 months I've traveled both in India and Brazil. Lots of small equivalent motorcycles. Sometimes with up to 4 people on the machine!
I used to live in the next town over of Freeland, I rode those areas all of the time.
That's awesome dude! I'm sure you know some stuff I haven't found. Where did you move to?
@@OffRoadRodeo moved back down to Bethlehem
Those tires are FAT 😮 and I love it
Me too!!
Tyler's such a a great guy, for the second time 😆
This was amazing 😮
Tyler's such a great guy 🔥
Whoa 😮
awesome vid.
The CT125 isn't meant to blast down the trail quickly. It is meant to get you from here to there and back again. It doesn't look sexy, but it gets the job done.
This is on my short list for my first bike, but. . . is there an after-market horn?
You posting this film for all to see? Is the stupidest thing in the entire world if you want to have motorcycles kicked out of the Blackwater state forest, keep doing this. Also, be very aware there are no single track trails in black water state forest. Those are hiking trails and the fine for riding off-road. Non marked posted road is 600 plus dollars wake up. Take this film off of the RUclips face page and ever else immediately. And never do it again.Mr. Moron, you gave your name and your tag number is visible in the shot. They will come for you wake up use your Brain
The gap between your knee and bars would not be affected by any spring installation. You could take the springs totally out, or even the front wheel off, and as long as your foot was on the foot peg, that gap would be the same as before. If the increased preload helps with your style of riding, then it does. It's possible, as basically every kind of suspension adjustment has compromises and benefits. If you like the benefits, and not having any static sag, or even dynamic sag by the looks up it, isn't a problem then no problem. But in case you're curious, look up videos or discussions about setting Sag, front and rear. If you have zero sag while going down the road, there isn't really much suspension in the drooping position because you're always sitting at the maxed out upwards position. Obviously if you first compress the forks, then they can move back up. But imagine a road condition where the bike crests a sudden drop off.. a wheel with sag would drop down into the void with its remaining suspension travel. Yours has zero or almost zero currently remaining, and thus would need to wait for the entire bike to drop down from gravity for the tire to reconnect with the road.
Such a beautiful place, thank you for sharing with us your amazing adventure
Brevard local here, whenever you're in town let me know. I have a crf450RL
i lived in white haven for many years. plenty of great places to ride
Also the 450 motors have never been extremely reliable. That's why I have never wanted one. have plenty of power but always needing a new top end or something. They just punch higher than they should
I wish honda would have made the xr600r with electric start. It has the power of the modern 450s but just more grunt
Theres no answer to sand except horsepower and lots of throttle. If you're on a smaller bike you'll just never feel comfortable. I had a Honda xr600r that ate Sand for breakfast. And i had a dr350 that just never did sand well. The trick is to keep that back wheel spinning. When in doubt throttle out
how it's hill climbing ability
you found one democrat to write that in the whole area.
Whoever wrote it needs to learn to spell lmfao
Bro, you'll need to direct wire that bulb. Under alternate current, it will not last much.
It’s not that I don’t believe you, but now I’m curious to see how long it’ll last. It’s been 4 months and I commute 3-4 times a week on this. We’ll see. And this bulb is cheap so it doesn’t really matter to me.
Hey man, you still riding this bike?
Hey, nope I sold this last summer. It was a great machine but I wasn’t exactly what I needed!
The XR150L seemed to keep up with the 450 rather well in the dirt!
Tyler might have been taking it easy on me but the XR did great. It’s a very capable machine.
Where in blackwater is this? Want to go ride this.
I’m not really sure to be honest. Let me try and get Tyler to explain since that’s his home turf.
This cause it looks similar to up Munson hwy
Fyi, another easy way to hold the wheel from turning is to have someone press the rear brake.
Ahhhh, yes that’s very smart. Thanks for the tip!
Seems like you could just put a stainless rod or tube spacer between the stock bolts and top of spring for much cheaper. Not sure why pvc is even in the conversation.
$6000.00 out the door from any dealer now. Have one ordered.
Wow, $6000!
XR 150 is Chiineesee. Great video.
Thanks for tuning in!
Thanks, I am soon going to buy one for Lara, she has wanted her own bike all her life. Thanks for the video, it has solidified my intent. Looks like Honda has nailed it again.
Would this bag work on the motion j center rack? Or would you recommend a smaller bag that would work?
What's the power (hp) on the XR150?
Theyre both junk compared to the yamaha xt250
Can you elaborate? I’m interested in riding one of those.
Why do you need more info in the Dashboard? Enjoy the ride and that’s it 😂 I have an xr 125, preety much the same bike, for fue indicator i swith the km meter to zero, and i know how much i can ride with a fuel tank + reserve.
Can I trouble you for the route and trails you rode there ? We are heading there next weekend . Would like to ride the park roads that you did .
I’m a new rider deciding between the a 2024 Trail and a 2024 XR150L. This video is very informative about the differences between the two including in how they perform on dirt trails and on-road. The Trail has such heritage and a definite “cool” factor that the 150 does not but, in the end, I think the 150 is really what I’m looking for based on how I intend to use it. Trail exploring for landscape photography, back road rides and a little highway only when necessary. Thanks for the info and great video.
why doesnt mine have adjustable shock?
