Installing a vinyl wrap - cornhole boards
Ive built some 50 sets and these vinyl's always give me issue even after applying poly. They hold for a while but then peel later.
Just curious.. this video was done a year ago. Is that printer still working? I feel like I go through epson printers like water :(
Using dtf paper
How is the printer still holding up? Are you still enjoying it?
How much does a wrap like that cost?
You can order them from our website at gopdesign.com/liberty-or-death/ $75 shipped laminated

Hey, the rocks and gems that you have are dangerous to axolotls. Small objects can cause choking and impaction if an axolotl happens to swallow them, which can be deadly. Here's some axolotl-safe substrates: -Fine sand under 1 mm in diameter. Sand can be hard to learn how to clean, but axolotls have fun digging in it and leave cute little footprints! -Slate. A large piece of slate covering the bottom of the tank can provide traction and a cool look, though it may need to be picked up to clean underneath from time to time. -Rocks at least as large as an adult axolotl's head. River rocks look really cool, but can be very hard to clean. Worms and pellets could easily get trapped between them. -No substrate. Having nothing on the bottom of your tank is also fine! If you have a higher flow rate, your axolotl may get stressed from not having a lot of traction. This is also not always very visually pleasing.
Thanks for the tips!
What kind of spray did you use on the edges
I don’t use it any more, but just light duty loctite contact cement
What temp do you have the heat press on?
305
I use uv birch plywood that is refinished. Do I need to use poly before the vinyl wrap?
No, you shouldn’t
So funny 🤣😝🤣🤣🤣🤣😝😝😝
😁😂
Your a kid naper
Haha😂
😂😂😂
What is your mix ratio for cleaning solution?
50% distilled water, 25% isopropyl 70% alcohol, 25% windex
Where do i get a ink cart resetter?? For the chip??
I can sell you one
Omg I’m laughing so much 😂😂😂❤
😂😂
Not I’m watching this video like what did I get myself into buying this printer and converting it.
After going through several of these, I would now suggest getting a more commercial printer or just ordering gang sheets from our website until you can afford one
Until I can afford one what? I already bought the epson et8550.
bro after 3 imes or 2 times head cleaning need to replace new maintanence box are there another trick ?
You need a chip resetter. I can sell you one. Shoot me a message
@@Gameondad6 i saw your maintanence box have tube and do you have video how did it? how much cost resetter?

💪🏼
Hows the okai printer these days? Where did you purchase from?
It's amazing! Feel free to shoot me a message and I can get you in touch with sales. Game On Productions on fb
Where is your store front located? Do you sell vinyl wrap for cornhole boards?
We are currently in the process of moving. Yes we sell wraps. www.gopdesign.com
Why don’t you with the extra wrap when you cut the hole , wrap it under the hole , instead of cutting right the size of hole ??
I actually did that in the beginning. It doesn't last. We use a flat surface vinyl. It doesn't handle extreme bends well.
I thought a vinyl wrap does not need a coating on top ???
If it's been laminated, it doesn't.
So who do I order my vinal wraps from that does not require heat shrink ?
Gopdesign.com We have switched to a vinyl since this video was made that doesn't need heat.
Do you print custom vinyls for cornhole boards if so how do I get in contact with you to have some printed ?
Yes I do. Email me at info@gopdesign.com or visit our Website www.gopdesign.com
What machine do you use for printing the vinyl?
63" eco solvent printer
Hi I have very important question but no one else answer yet, u have a built pump on ciss system for white ink and a mixer( 1 hose for put in ink second hose for return circulation?), do u switch on your pump when u printing or before u printing and then off when printing ?? could u show your connection for return hose in the print head do u have a 2x Y connector or 4ways one connector ?, how strong u pun your pump to work its very slow, very fast or just to move constant flow ? I have 4 ways connector and when I starting my prints about 5 min before I switch on mixer and pump but I noticed that's my white ink when pump is on connector sucking different colours from print head and make it grey instead of white. maybe that's 4way connector causing suck. connector looks like ⬅⬆⬆➡ where on left arrow its in white ink, right arrow its out ink and arrows up its head conteiners for white ink. thank u
I didn't use a circulation pump with my 8550. Both white lines just fed the printer. I also quit using the 8550 and I was never able to get more than 6-7 months out of a head. I've since purchased a real dtf printer.
@@Gameondad6I wish you could gift me the 8550, for my small business in Africa
Why not use laminated wraps instead? They're more durable & no need for a clear coat, correct?
You are correct! We have started laminating them since this video. This is really intended for those who don't have lam or want to control the speed of their boards
Where can I purchase the wrap?
www.gopdesign.com or email me at info@gopdesign.com
I currently have a raw wood board. Before I apply a wrap should I polyurethane to the top of the raw board to help protect it? OR will that action cause the wrap not to adhere properly? Thanks, Kurt
You want to put a coat on the raw wood. Sand and repeat. A good sheen will help the vinyl stick.
Do you make your own rap, or do you get it from someone else
We make them all in house
What is the spray your using before putting on vinyl? Live in Wisconsin don't want it to come off
It was medium strength contact cement, but we have switched to a higher end vinyl that doesn't require it anymore
Do you have to use the spray adhesive ?
Need the 24inch squeegee
www.gopdesign.com
Que material usaste ?
Birch ply
Your vinyl is so flat and doesn’t roll up. How you you get so flat? And we are having trouble with our vinyl lifting on the edges. How do we stop that?
What kind of vinyl are you using?
You might use a little heat and pressure. Hair dryer or heat gun will help
Don't you have to add a clear coat to the edges to keep it from peeling off?
If you trim the wrap to run about 1/8" off the edge, you'll be fine. We don't seal the edges and haven't had any issues as long as they are laminated
Can a vinyl wrap be used on an already painted/finished corn hole set? I'm assuming that it would be no different than the water-based sealant?
You're correct! As long as the top is smooth, should be good. Just make sure the vinyl is gray backed to hide the design underneath
a couple of questions: do you always put down a layer of poly before putting down your wraps? I've seen others put wraps down on plain wood. why might someone use laminated wrap vs. non-laminayed? Are those cutting tools $50 each or for the pair?
www.gopdesign.com for the tools Either put a layer down ( or two) or use UV finished plywood. I do not recommend applying the vinyl to bare wood. Laminated wraps are easier and more durable. It saved you time and money
What is the cleaning solution diy you do? Thank you 😊
Just a mixture of Windex and distilled water. Use a little rubbing alcohol if it's super clogged
Hi there...In one of your reply's to a comment you said "...save and buy a printer built for DTF"...now that you have been using a converted printer, is it your opinion that that would be the less headache but more expensive way you would do it if you had to do it all over? I converted an Epson WF7720 ($250) to sublimation and love it 3+ years however, DTF printer packages are around $1500-$1800 on the low end. Honest pro opinion would be worth hearing/reading. Thanks for all the info!
I went through several 8550 printers that all failed due to various reasons. They just aren't meant for dtf. We did invest in a large format DTF printer. It was the best decision we made for our apparel business. Yes, you'll be $5-8k out of pocket minimum...but it's worth it
@@Gameondad6 Hi, what were the reasons?
@ the et-8550 is just not meant to handle dtf. It’ll get you through for a while. You’ll start to run into several issues and epson won’t warranty it anymore
