I have so many questions - why did the previous owners leave the spinning wheels? Did they move somewhere that spinning wheels are prohibited? Were they tired of spinning their wheels and never getting anywhere? Did they run out of wool? 😂 I am only partly joking - seriously, why did they leave so many personal items as if they just got in the car and drove away?

The feeling go guilt when we allow ourselves to relax. It's so unnecessary, still there every time. It's good that you allow yourself to relax. Selfcare comes first. Otherwise the burn out hits and we can't take cary of anything anymore. ❤

What a gorgeous house! You fit right in. What is the heating situation like up there? Not too isolated? I looked at some Swedish houses a few years ago to start a homestead on, but the ones I liked were just too far away from everything to be practical. I like the peace and quiet, but not in the extreme haha. I enjoy my own company too much for that so I'd end up old and alone ;)

I could not see properly but I am not sure that is lingonberries. Thougt the leevs looked more like cranberries. Lingonberries grow in bunches .

Why don't you let the old cottage be as it is, make it cosier, arrange the velvet sofa and the armchairs in the living room and make the Reading nook outside the kitchen. And rent it out on Airbnb. And earn some money to fix up your own house.
