    nice project. you have any new eyes made up. I'm currently working on a similar tiny eye compact design. wasn't planning on eyelids but maybe. i grabbed these tiny steppers and tiny linear servos. I think smaller than the ones you picked. My hope is that i can make it have a connector on the back so it can plug into a robot head maybe. I made this last year using bluetooth PS controller to control it. my issue is loudness not size. i want quiet eyes. so thats why i got mini steppers to play with. see my first attempt on a head ruclips.net/video/2JZePHL71YA/видео.html

    I purchased your kit and I'm a bit confused how exactly this is suppose to work. It is only suppose to be operational if you take the "OuterBackHousing_FDM" off? Also where would you put the 9volt battery pack with a switch (BTW I didn't receive this as mentioned in this video)? It doesn't look like it's meant to go anywhere. I don't understand how the wires are suppose to exit when the "OuterBackHousing_FDM" is attached.

    • @enza3dllc731
      @enza3dllc731 Год назад

      Hi Cyber Hobbit, If you install the switches onto the back of the unit (display stand mode) then yes, leaving the back housing off is the preferred method. I had a version that had cut outs in it but It looked a little silly when put together and I thought it might confuse people. I can upload it to the files if you'd like though. If you're simply wearing it and have a few wires going off into your costume, I would recommend either drilling or poking a hole in the backer with a soldering Iron. The location of this hole is going to depend heavily on your final costume layout so I thought it would be best to leave it up to the end user. Ill try to make that intent more clear in the instructions. For the battery; We originally planned on shipping kits with an empty 9V battery pack but Etsy made it VERY clear that that is not allowed. For ours I just soldered some extension wires to a box from Amazon and put it in a pocket. Hopefully that helps!

    hey there, I've started to do the assembly of mine... the use of the filament to hold the eye pieces seems to continue falling out. The eye will open/close 3-4 times and then the filament will come loose. Any tips for trying to keep that together?

    • @enza3dllc731
      @enza3dllc731 Год назад

      Hi There Cyber Hobbit! I would recommend either a dab of hotglue or a small dot of superglue, Either should hold the piece of filament in place for you

    Does the light stay on with this circuit board when closed?

    • @enza3dllc731
      @enza3dllc731 2 года назад

      It does. Right now the LED is directly connected to the battery voltage, if the PCB has power the LED should be on. Think of it as a status light. If you'd like to control the LED independently of the opening and closing you can run a separate power line for the LED with an inline switch. Alternatively if you sand the front edge of the eyelids smooth it blocks the light pretty well while the eye is closed.

    Hi🤓 If already purchased the new files and everything printed out perfectly. I was wondering if the motor uses 5V and is it possible to post the electric wiring schematic online. I don't really know how to hook everything up. Thanks in advance🤓

      Hi, I used a 9V battery in a battery box something like this (www.amazon.com/Battery-Holder-Switch-Wires-Batery/dp/B01C5J4L76) I will post a simplified graphic of the electronics later tonight, in the meantime, there is a schematic at 2:08 but I understand if you can't get it from that, those are a little confusing. I have PCBs I designed for this project coming in from overseas and hope to shoot an update video announcing those in a few days.

    I guess there is one file wrong from Etsy. The RightBottomGear has it's hole smaller than the others gears' holes. Can you check, please?

    • @enza3dllc731
      @enza3dllc731 2 года назад

      Hi Felipe, I can upload a new one, I left that one intentionally undersized because in some of my test prints the extruder had a tough time extruding the thin neck that connects those two spur gears. Undersizing the hole made it print more consistently, and I chase all of the gears with a 2mm drill bit to get the goobers out anyway, but I can understand the confusion. I'll upload a gear with a "nominal" hole and another with the u ndersized hole and will clarify the distinction in the directions. Thanks for catching that, it had slipped my mind
