Mixed Bag in Southern Moreton Bay / Snapper, tailor and more…
Tough one with those bloody sharks that’s for sure. How’s the water snake going too? Is this its first issue it’s had? What was the problem do you know yet? I’m thinking about getting a water snake gps too very soon as their price is hard to beat. I’d probably use mine maybe 2 times a month weather permitting
@@chalkelectrical1795 It’s been good for about a year but the last month I’ve had a couple problems. First thing was I lost steering which ended up being the turning motor and second thing was the gps module. It was playing up and not staying in position. The Customer support is pretty good but they just end up sending you a new part to replace so if your not to handy with the tools then it might be an issue. We’ve used it a lot though probably more then your average fisho. I hope this helps, Josh.
@@jradventures693 thanks mate. Really appreciate that honest review on it. One of my mates has had his fair share of issues with his minn kota too (his was double the price of a water snake) so I’m just not sold that more expensive is better at this point. He also uses his a few times a week so had to say hey! Cheers mate
@@chalkelectrical1795 No worries mate. Yeah I’ve heard of some problems with the Motor Guide as well regarding the remote. There quite expensive as well. I feel like it’s just luck if you get a good one or not haha.
😬 those were some serious sharks.
I enjoy your videos simply because we see a different view of these areas even when in Moreton bay it was always different angles. Or. Perspective . Thanks
@@paullobwein1632 Thank you, we’re glad you enjoy them.
Better luck next time mate, bloody sharks! going to go out on a limb here and say an early congrats by the looks, hopefully I am right and haven't made a fool of myself, keen to see how your homemade lures go, cheers Jay
Haha you’re spot on mate. Thanks so much.
Allways a waste of time when sharks turn up.
Very painful indeed
never move a fish backwards in the water, it closes the gills and you are making it a lot worse for the fish to recover. The baits work well so that is cool:)
@@MrKveite1 thanks for the advice.
Your very underrated, Keep up the good work!
@@player182exploits-e9r Thank you, we appreciate it.
i like this content man keep it up :) also the fish at 4:40, to me it sorta looked like a big tailor, but im not sure hahah
@@e36dom27 Thank you. I’ve been told it’s a Lesser Queenfish.
Yay got it 🎊 🎉
We dropped four crab pots at north stradbroke island in Moreton Bay and went and did some fishing we went back to check our pots and the tide was going so fast it pulled the float so hard it dragged the crab pot with it so we lost the pot and never found it again
@@andrewbonney6208 that’s very frustrating. Hopefully it wasn’t stolen.
Happy for you that you caught the fish you were after. It was quite an effort.
@@raebenning6453 Thank you.
The water colours are beautiful. No fish but a lovely walk anyway.
A successful day despite the rough return journey.
Welldone nice fish.
Good catch👏
Thanks for watching
Well done Guys, good to see a few fillets for the table, keep up the good work and looking forward to the next one, P.S the Bro has been a bit quiet also, hope all is good, cheers Jay
Thanks mate.
Good quality looking fish
Thanks mate
Love this content. Whats your thoughts on the motorguide? Cheers
Thanks mate. I’ve had good experiences with motor guide. That’s my brothers one and he hasn’t had any issues apart from the Anderson plug connection but that just needs cleaning. I do know one person who had issues with the remote. Was getting water inside.
What bait do you use to catch beach worms
Any fish frames
@@jradventures693 thanks bro
The great action fo crabbing
Hang in there, they will return and there’s plenty of other adventures to have in the meantime 😊
You will catch them next time 💯, I believe in you 😉👍! Video was awesome anyways 🤩, loved it 💙, keep them coming! Hello from Kazakhstan 🖐🖐🖐
Hello ✋ Thank you.
You want to grab a telescopic boat hook from BCF for $30 makes reaching those crab pot lines so much easier.
I dont think crabs like the cold weather just like we dont.
I thought that to but I ran into a pro up here and said it isn’t to bad during winter. Looking at the results though he might be full of it haha.
Great video mate, brings back wonderfull memories of so many of my crabbing mission, thanks😵💫😬
The jungle just off a wide concrete path lol- but i enjoyed this-thanks
😂
Any crocs there
Not that I’m aware of. Many people swim here.
WHERE IS THIS
Clamshell Falls
Oh always carry a rod with you as you never know 😀😀Crab looked amazing - Guess what we are having tomorrow for dinner CRAB !!!!.
Oh Yum Great catch & great cook my mouth watered the whole time. Cheers Newbie Denise- Brisbane
Cool vid guys 😊
Nice nice very nice👍👍 I so love ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What lb is the electric motor?> How have you found it?
65lb. It’s been really good. Haven’t had any issues with it yet and we use it a lot. Spot lock works well. A strong wind may move you a little bit but it always goes back to position.
Man that made me too hungry haven’t been crabbing over a month. Also I use the same sorting bucket. They work a treat. Cheers
I think your due for a trip mate.
Try leaving shell on 17 ,20min , I've found it a lot better. Same ice down. Personal preference. 👍
It doesn't get much flatter then that at the pin great day, I've been going for over 30 years only seen it like this once or twice
Well done just like my doctor said you got crabs
😂
Yay finally got to use the crab cooker 🎉
...oh, man...how could you...totally needs melted butter...
That does sound good.
Have you got 2 boats?
No, just the one mate.
@@jradventures693 must have mixed you up with another video, sorry.
what is the name of the river and where is it located in thanks
where is this located Southern Moreton Bay thanks
Muddy water not good for artificial lure fishing.. if muddy water use dead prawns
Are there any landbased spots on the Gold Coast for prawning?
I’m not to sure. Never done much down that way before. Sorry mate.
Nice job! 😍😎🔥🔥🔥🤙
Better luck next time mate, I think those small non mudcrabs you caught in the pots maybe what i think they call Traw crabs and if so make awesome bluebone bait, something to consider...Cheers
Thanks mate. Good to know, might have to keep a few next time.
I hate to say it mate but the muddies are still thick in the Redlands I did my best run 2 days ago bagged out first pull and had to throw 5 good crabs back
Haha damn! That’s good mate, I’m glad your getting stuck into them.
Your partners worming vocab is spot on - you motherfuc$er 😂
Always use zip ties then u know for sure
Learned a new trick guys. Dropping them into the landing net. Never thought of doing it that way. So much for my thinking.
Yeah it definitely makes it easier to get a hold of them.
