acurite is no good my 5 in 1 lasted a hair over a year and they refused to stand behind their product. i purchased a ambient weather station 5000 with multiple sensors and its been flawless for 2 years
Going on 3 years with this unit and no issues. Sorry to hear about your situation. Glad you found a product that works for you though.
@@schufledoes thanks! my display crapped out in 13 months and they expected me to buy a new one. im glad that you got a good one and hope it brings you many years of use
Awesome to see kids out with there dads
You betcha!
You forgot to mention that you have to put vehicle in brake maintenance mode first
Thanks for mentioning that.
My son removed his and has had no issues. Oil changes take less time now as they don’t have to remove it and re install it every oil change
Good to know. I worry with general road conditions as well as snow and ice that something will fly up and damage something. Better to have it than not. Thanks for the comment.
This is a joke
Thanks for the view.
Nice snowblower. Great idea for trailering.
It sure is! Worked pretty slick.
Ive had this problem since i bought my 2017 escape 1/2 yrs ago the ford dealer ship cant figure out why its happening , i think i figured it out its $500 a pop for me on my warranty i bought for $3200 ,extended warranties on a used vehicle is ;not usual but im a fool who keeps paying for it my question is why has it happened 3 times since i bought the car in june of 2023🤷🏿♂️
That’s a bummer! Maybe you should call the dealership and ask them about a possible manufacturing defect? Why it keeps happening I have no idea. If they are all ford motor company genuine parts I think you should be under some kind of warranty. Good luck with that though.
Nice! Thanks for showing how that thing worked. I’ve hesitated getting another Suburban because of the active fuel management crap! Maybe now I will get a Suburban again!!!!! Bless you Brother!
I hope you get that Suburban you're wanting! It's been great last 30,000 on the tahoe no issues and no ticks at 170,000
I was about to do some repair without any knowledge of roofing repair until I watched this video. Thanks a lot. ❤
I'm glad it helped. Thanks for watching!
even after I replaced both motors and reinstalled the wipers, it goes up once and gets stuck up top. help! Passenger side wiper underneath the driver side motor.
Not sure what would cause that. It's possible the position of the wiper is to far and you need to rotate it a bit. Sorry not much help.
Probably the wipers are reinstalled wrong
Thanks for the video! Question: I noticed you put the drip edge on top of the felt. Is there a rhyme or reason to this that's worth knowing about? The instruction guide I read showed the felt on top of the drip edge, so that's what I did. Hopefully not in a way that requires me to replace this roof in a year or two!
In a traditional asphalt shingles roof the drip edge should be under the felt paper. With the rolled roofing, the entire bottom edge is completely covered with tar and seals all the components together. Good catch. That's for watching.
Rolled roof is for flat or little pitch. You should have matched your shingles on your house.
Rolled asphalt shingles should not be installed on flat or low slope roofs. That is not what they are designed for. Most rolled asphalt roofing products are for 4/12 pitch and greater. There are other products like membrane roofing or a TPO roof or rubber roof for low slope flat roof. Tha KS for watching though.
Yeah. You need to disconnect ranger device, before 2 or3 days and drive. Should be good to go.
Awesome, thank you much.
Wow! The exact same issue. Funny thing you’re in the snow. I was in the middle of the sky falling on the side of a gas station with a whole rain suit and still drenched 😅
Glad it helped and you got it all fixed up!
Best video on you tube! Keep it up
Wow, thanks! Appreciate that.
Anyone who doesn't have a 7mm Allen key like me. Typical t45 star bit works for the caliper slide
Interesting, I did not know that. Thanks for sharing
Great video thanks for your help
Glad it helped!
Did you cover each bottom section with the tar? Cover up the previous nailing?
I do believe so. Top edge and bottom edge as well as vertical edges.
Any solution for when the screws coming down from the body of the car are rusted and the thread the gone? Even if I replace the plastic clips (w790373-s900), I doubt they’ll hang onto the rusted/worn out screws. Thoughts?
Not sure on that, but I would assume if you can weld, you might be able to grind/cut off the old one and weld a new threaded stud to attack to. Just a thought. Thanks for watching
Thanks!!
Do you think JD Weld would hold up?
Did it all wrong
Disappointed you didn't like it but I'm glad you watched it
You didn’t torque what is the specs ?
You would have to look up the foot lbs of torque. Thanks for watching.
Wouldn’t it be better to use cold adhesive instead of nailing holes through the granulated roll?
Well it isn't an issue installing it the way I show. You can do some cold adhesive, but I am unsure how that works or how well it would stand up over time without a mechanical fastener. Thank you
How do you pull it out - just pull hard ? Will that pull the tile out ?
@TeslaRules1856 if you are talking about the old can undo those clips I show and it falls right out. The new one and the spring clips you can easily pry if down with your fingers and secure the light as well as the ceiling tile. I would not suggest just pulling down that will break the ceiling tile.
Nice job.
Thank you! Cheers!
I’m a seventeen year old girl who had to finish all the house repairs and renos that my shitty stepdad never did before he abandoned us. I have to fix our leaking roof and this video seriously helped me figure everything out. Thank you so much for posting this video! :)
I am so happy this helped you get some of that done. Sorry about your situation, but good for you for getting it done! If there is other content that could help, I would be happy to make some videos to possibly help you and others! Thanks for watching.
If you disconnect your battery it will not pass. You have to drive it long enough for the monitors to reset. 50 to 100 miles sometimes more.
Thanks, venvnco6259! May be different from vehicle to vehicle, but I found success after 200 miles over a few days getting a pass.
Glad that's all it was. Sure beats a tune up.
Yea it's good to be rejected and not fail! I'm glad it was able to pass.
Awesome bathroom. Glad to be part of it..
Yea it was a great project!
Laddees are supposed to be 3 rungs above the roof line.
Thanks for that. Appreciate the view!
Outstanding video!🎉
Glad you liked it! Thanks so much!
Helped out a ton, thank you 🙏
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching
Yes service mode any car rear electric brake
Yes great recommendation thank you
Turning off video, the music is too irritating.
thanks or watching as much as you could.
You did it your way, but you did not do it the right way. 1st of all your "Base Paper" should be at least 30# felt, but should be an actual base paper which is heavier. It should be nailed down with 1" headed tin caps, Plastic caps would work too. Using staples will not allow your base to hold down enough. A heavy wind can easily pull this roof off. By using the 1" headed caps the base will hold down during heavy wind. You do not want exposed nails as they will work loose in time from the heating and cooling of the nail. You also should put "dots" of Plastic Roof cement throughout the middle of the base paper to keep the 90# held down in the middle and from wrinkling over time. You do not need to nail the outside edge through the 90# or the bottom edge as the base 1" headed nails and the plastic cement will keep it held down. THIS VIDEO IS NOT A GOOD GUIDE.
Well, those are some thoughts. Thanks for watching and for your thoughts. This roof has held fine for years now and through a few different 60+ mph storms. Looks as good as the day it was installed, and nothing has worked loose or changed. In WI we go from -20 (or below) up to 100's and with that temp swing, the roof is doing awesome. Thanks again for the view.
@@schufledoeslooks like what you did worked just fine😂
Awesome looking trees and hopps
Thank you
Thanks for the video and view here, drivers side splash is starting to rattle, least know i know how it goes together - ironically i am about 10 mins from ann arbor varsity ford so ill go in and see if i cant get those round retainers w790373-s900 - how many did you get and replace total on that one side i think there were maybe 6 total plus the two screw like ones up front?
I think your right on the count. Send like the package of them was plenty to replace the broken ones at the time of the video and since.
Can you change them all the same color from the app or do you have to change them all individually from the app… I guess what I’m saying is can you group them all together and say hit green and they all turn green at the same time? Thanks for the video!😊
Short answer yes, you can control all at once if in a room. So I have each soffit light (12 of them) set up individually, then I have them grouped to The Exterior. I can ask Alexa to "change the exterior color to green" and they all change to the same color. So you technically don't even need the app to do it, but you can also set the entire room to one color. Hope that helps
@@schufledoes Awesome thanks, at first was going to get the Hubspace string lights then seen the Hubspace rope which also looks pretty cool but I think I’m going to stick to the recessed lights and the soffits just gives a cleaner look!
The string lights do look pretty cool though because in the app they already have presets for the different holidays. It looks like.
So for drivers side splash shield id want to get minimum of 4 of those push up retainer round things, then 2 of the sorta plastic screws total? I may just order up like a dozen so nextime it happens again i got a few spare...
That's a good plan. They will always break and never last as long as the factory ones. Extras of both types!
Both sides on mine not working how much are the motors
$50-$75 each motor depending on where your buying and add in shipping if your ordering online. Good luck, is a simple swap with basic hand tools!
Had the same issue with mine. Ford dealer mechanic said don’t worry about it. Very helpful. lol. Jerry rigged it with other parts. Working so far. Big plastic clips stopped working as the stud is stripped. Thanks for the vid.
Yea sorry to hear about that. I have heard lots about dealerships breaking those and not replacing. So glad something was rigged so the guard didn't break first trip on the freeway.
Why is roll roofing the preferred thing on low slope roof? Is it that it remains unbroken for large spans of distance so it can move the water easier than if it was a bunch of shingles?
I'm not sure it is preferred on low slope. Typical asphalt shingles can go down to 4:12. Some say rolled asphalt roofing can go down to 2:12 which I think is the absolute minimum I would ever go. Likely not going under 4:12. Once your below 2:12 your looking at a monolithic sheet membrane like a rubber roof or TPO or similar. Some reasons why this can go a lower slope than an asphalt shingle is the seam and how more likely water can back track up and under the tab of the typical shingle at low slopes. Hope that helps
Wish you'd shown more detail on putting on the last piece.
Last piece I positioned in such a way that it aligned with both sides fairly evenly as like a ridge cap. Plenty of tar all seams and the top ridge.
Great video enjoyed it very much
