Four Wolves Running
What a day to leave my good camera at home! This morning we saw five grey wolves running along the edge of the forest...you can only see four of them in this (very short) video I took with my iPhone. www.peggycollinsgallery.com

Fire Dancer Hiro Hauata with The Drumheads, Commodore Ballroom, Halloween 1995
Просмотров 1419 лет назад
I think this was my second gig with The Drumheads when we backed up Hiro Hauata performing his fire dance. This was videotaped at the time, then I played it on my TV and filmed it with my camera...sorry, the quality isn't very good but the memories are!
The Drumheads at Caribbean Days, Vancouver, B.C., July 30, 1995

My first gig with the first band I was ever in, The Drumheads. Ali Johnson was our fearless leader. It was a boiling hot day and the festival was packed with hundreds (or maybe thousands?) of people. By the way, that's me, the only woman in the band. This was originally recorded on videotape (remember videotapes?), then I played it on TV and filmed it with my camera...unfortunately the video qu...
Butterfly on my Hand
Просмотров 33510 лет назад
I saw the first butterfly of the year today and it was very friendly. It's a Mourning Cloak butterfly, and it let me pick it up five or six times. It kept flying to my tires and seemed to be licking the salt from them. I think it might've been licking salt from my hand too. Check out some pictures of it at peggy-collins.fineartamerica.com.

There were two baby flickers in the nest and the parents took turns feeding them. Watch for the baby sticking out his tongue at the end...every once in awhile he'd lick the tree!

Beautiful! I hope one stays for me this winter! I am sad when they leave for the winter.
Damn, they sound so much like robins
Very beautiful. I really like them!
🤗
Обожаю синичек
Do you solemnly swear to tell the squirrel truth?
They're grown now. I work at Home Depot and I spotted one of them going through the self-checkout. He was purchasing rope, a bag of Quickrete cement, and some Acme Dehydrated Boulders.
Bird flying for first 1:20. Then bird diving. Then waves for last 5 seconds. No footage of the bird touching water or emerging with a fish or anything of that sort.
The R2-D2 of the bird world. There is no happier song. :o)
Moms probably out killing something to bring to them for nurishment... ya know.... Grocery Shopping : )
Bravo pour la tradition.Serait-il possible d'entrer en contact avec Hiro HAUATA car sa Soeur de Lait Meherio GERMAIN souhaiterait l'avoir en contact téléphonique de toute urgence. Voici son numéro. +689 87 257275. Merci.
who says you can't? I think as long as you raise one with love and attention, It would make a wonderful pet.
Who says you cant have one as a pet? Check out "wiley the pet coyote" , here on You tube. It can be done. I think as long as you spend time with it, and give it love- as you would any other dog... It will turn out fine.
AWWWWWWWW... i wish they werent wild so i could have one as a pet. :(
Adorbs...
Thanks for your comment, seahue! I just had to look at this again myself. What a cutie. I checked again this year but unfortunately there wasn't a nest.
Great! : )
Thanks very much for your comment! Yes, I'm still making them but my computer crashed awhile ago and the programs I still haven't found time to replace them and figure out how I did everything. It was kind of complicated since I use a Canon 7D to record videos now. Thanks for your interest...I promise I'll post some new ones soon!
Wonderful! Beautiful scene... you're not making any videos anymore?
Lol, noellana! Yes, it would drive me nuts too. As a matter of fact we've got some new baby chickadees around lately and hearing them do this non-stop is a little irritating! @ MisterLemons, you're right they're chestnut-backed chickadees.
As cute as that is that has got to drive the parents' nuts. No wonder baby birds grow up so fast.
So cute I want one. :(_
So beautiful.,
Thanks for your comment! You could be right but that would change the whole movie ;~)
Well filmed but I don't think the first part shows mating, pretty sure it as an aggressive fight between two rival males?
Chestnut-backed chickadees by the look of it
Odds are only one or two will survive, sadly. Can you spare one, Id love to have it and tell people that its a chihuahua lab mix..or something..maybe Shiba Inu..Nobody would know.
Fantastic Footage, many thanks.
VERY nice. Thanks for sharing.
wowie cool
Nice!
Awesome!
I never saw either of their parents but somebody told me they were around.
where is there mom
Awesome footage..its funny because the other day an adult flicker flew over my head and I wondered what a young flicker looked like...here is my answer:) Very cute...LOL at the tongue action:D
Thanks, Geri! Funny that they were singing up a storm two or three weeks ago and have been quiet ever since. They were even singing when it was snowing.
This is LOVELY Peggy. I will have to bring Steve here to see this . We are also going to have to take a trip to a nearby creek to find some. This is Geri BTW
This is soooo cute....... Cornelia
Aww. It's cute.
little cuties :)
cool photographs; I love to take photographs of nature now and again! XD
Nice work Peggy!! You have been doing some great filming. Haven't mastered this yet!!
That is Amazing!!
Peggy, I think you told me before that the focus locks on your camera when you do video. that should still allow you to zoom in and out as long as the bird stays put. Also you could try going into manual focus mode and adjusting camera settings while you film, then later edit the video with only the good bits. (geez, I have so many ideas for other people!)
RedroomStudios do it in pic mode first
