Gravity Panning - The FASTEST, EASIEST panning (for gold) I've ever seen! (Ep. 32)
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.2 месяца назад
In this instructional video, my buddy Douglas shares probably one of the most important tips you'll ever hear about gold-prospecting, a How-To method that is quite frankly the most effective way to pan for gold that I've ever come across. We invite you to try it out yourselves! You should be amazed by your results! Video-editor: GP Castro GP's email: pandakekoks@yahoo.com

Many thanks to the Kern County Prospectors for hosting this event and for the great time I had in my search for buried treasure (ok, it was in the grass but still! LOL). Swing that thing! :)

      @goldphenoms5139 Месяц назад

      It's an interesting little device and I'm still trying to get the hang of it. I've found through trial and error that you must eliminate the little mistakes all rookies make w/ such an item or you'll be forced to run your material through it more than once. ;) Lol You can see, for instance, that AIR BUBBLES are appearing in the water being pumped through it. I accidentally solved that problem by placing my hand over most of the intake for a moment and letting the device "primer" correctly. It is completely self-contained and a tub to put it in and a spoon aside, it is basically ready to go right out the box. In my personal opinion, this device might be better suited to gold that is a bit larger than the micro "fly poop" we often find in the Kern River. I've noted on a few runs through my black sands that it is very possible for gold to be swept out of the mat, especially if you're forced to use faster water when dealing w/ pure (and thus heavy) black sands.

And that snake was cool, poor thing was so scared you two were around, it was trying to make like a tree😂 Hey 2 specks of gold is better than nothing, its all in the adventure, especially with friends🤙 MRE's come in handy when we get hungry out prospecting. The Haunted Waterfall is what I call it after having TOO many strange experiences there. ;) Lol There is actually a LOT of miner history and lore in that particular location, none of which I really knew until after I started catching things on audio. Because the location is on a private claim, I try to keep the EXACT spot on the downlow, but I'd be happy to show you the spot as a guest of the club who owns the claim, if you make a trip this way to Bakersfield, CA. There may or may not be water running (depending on the rain and time of year) AND the road would have to be open, but once there, you'd probably never forget the experience for the scenery alone! :) Let us know if or when you head this way and I'd be happy to meet w/ you at a nearby Starbucks or perhaps at Hart Park where the locals like to practice this hobby in a gold-laden area open to the public. :) Cheers!

I just spoke with Douglas and he has agreed to meet you, gold prospector to gold prospector, in a 1-hour Panning Contest! We will choose the time, day, and a 100-foot stretch of the Kern River and you may pan wherever you wish in that stretch (within the boundaries of the law). No sluices, suction devices, or motorized items allowed. After 1 hour, you will have an additional half-hour to clean up your cons via the same tools you used in the prior hour, and the prospector showing the most visible gold wins. Everything will be recorded so as to ensure a fair contest. What say you?

    Is it bad for the dirt/rocks to be broken apart like that at the bank? From an ecological standpoint I mean. Human made erosion, on a small scale of course but with numerous people doing that I'm just wondering.

    • @goldphenoms5139
      @goldphenoms5139 3 месяца назад

      A valid question... But what am I doing that time, water, and floods are not? Additionally, if you go to that spot, you'll see it's packed in once again w/ new material left by last year's flood. I leave it to you to decide if the ecology is significantly affected in a 'bad' way. For my part, I now do my best to confine myself to going after material under the high-water mark of the river when I'm near the park. A little preservation of the banks (marking its liquid domain) can go a long way. I appreciate your comment and this important topic. :)

    looks really cool! Could you show us the shaking mechanism on the underside?

      I wish I could. To protect the manufacturer and their invention, I agreed before purchase to keep that as private as reasonably possible. Believe me, I want to help my viewers w/ the best info I can acquire but this is (nearly) the best I could do under the circumstances.

      Welcome aboard. :) I've been talking w/ my buddy Nick Cooper who has his own YT channel and we're trying to get some outings lined up for gold-prospecting. If only the rain would stop long enough for us to hit up some of these canyons w/ steep walls and fast-moving waters! Lol :) Enjoy the videos!

    Hii 🖐 what is the angle degree of the table up to down ? 🙏🙏🙏

    • @goldphenoms5139
      @goldphenoms5139 9 месяцев назад

      Because there are 2 different angles that are very important for different goals on this table, instead of potentially giving you the wrong answer, I'll refer you to the inventor's own video on this subject. He gives you the explicit answer/s for exactly what you want to know. :) The link is below: ruclips.net/video/qZW_dNgyflU/видео.html

    Need to go up north to Hwy 49 we get 150-200 specs per PAN. NOT to mention when using detector we get not just picker but Nuggets. Worth the 10-1/2 hr drive from So Cal. 👍

    That area is awesome. Don't have an off road vehicle to get there,but is a beautiful bit of country. Too bad you didn't find more gold.

      Hello, Rob from the UK! Glad to start making my way back for more videos, especially for my international contingent! 😀 It's like the Wild West still in these mountains all around and you gotta' stay on your toes to make it back safely. That place got hit by a storm that packed hail, lightning 🌩 and pounding rain. I'd like to ride out one of those things someday for my viewers and from how the "El Nino" weather here in CA is shaping up for Fall, y'all might get the chance to see such a thing soon! Lol 😆 Stay tuned!
