What a great video ! Well done for 40 for 40 ! Regarding Wigan Pier. It was a "pier" that was used to dump coal from the wagons on to the barges. You ran past a replica of it around the 20:50 mark. It is literally just a railway track sticking up in the air. Well done again.

The lads took their unplanned swim with a smile so it's all good. It's actually nice warning ahead of this month's LLCR. The path looks very narrow so will need to take extra care on that section. I notice Matt is on start list of this years LLCR. I took a very late entry myself. My longest ever run is just over 50 miles so 127 is a huge gamble - a titanic, scary challenge. Nervous but excited. I'm assuming Laura will be part of the Matt support crew so will see you both there.

Been thinking about doing this route for a little while as i grew up slap bang in the middle of the route (accrington/burnley). Had no idea there was an official race. Great video - gives a good insight into the mental and physical side of the challenge! Thanks

The poor wear characteristics doesn't really apply to carbon x, it's certainly the case for nikes which will fall apart after 200 miles. The hoka should last more like 500 if you watch the upper. Congrats on the pb. Bit dodge running a marathon soon after vax and on new shoes, glad it worked out 😎

Nice video. Really well shot. 🎥 Did this in 2018. Nice course. Flat but I seem to remember the camber of the path was a bit awkward in places. Overall, it was a decent event.

Wow. What a fantastic insight into what is a truly epic race. You’re all super-human. You’re all absolute heroes. I know Chris ‘rhino boy’ Green really well (26:50). He is indeed a top bloke - the nicest guy you could ever meet. I usually come down to finish line to support the finishers but sadly wasn’t able to this year. I’ve done a few 50 mile ultras but this is another level. Wish I had it in me to attempt this event but it’s not possible……. one day maybe but then again, maybe not. 😆 Congratulations once again and good luck for 2022.

I sadly cant run any longer, injury forced me to stop, but I can appreciate so much what an amazing achievement this was for you. Massive well done 👏....respect 👏✔
