Fitting a PUIG Carenabris New Generation Sport Windshield to my Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. The supplied spacers did not work with the head light guard/protector - so I used some washers instead. I bought the screen from MotardINN for £113.99 last summer - just before my trip to Denmark. ruclips.net/video/d82zVgslnq4/видео.htmlsi=m6wjKFDNJeR4DyAh The screen is now £93.99 www.tradeinn.com/motardin...

Taking the Honda XL250S off road on the way to Coop

Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 sound comparison OEM exhaust vs. Chamber delete
Просмотров 15 тыс.Год назад
It has been a while. Metal work removed from my wrists in August last year means I can now ride properly again 😎🏍️ That also means a new bike in the Mischief Garage as the old Honda would not be for longer rides. The first mod is a chamber delete, and here is a short video to show the sound difference. Still with the stock end can on, which I think sounds great, it is not loud at all, but I can...
Attempt to stop the leak in the rear of 2008 Toyota Aygo | It worked!
Просмотров 16 тыс.3 года назад
Toyota Aygos, Citroen C1s and Peugeot 107s are know for leaking through the tail lights, stop light, hatch seal, antenna and the vents behind the rear bumper. I did the stop light last year, but as you will see, there is still water coming in. I sealed the tail lights with window/door sealing stip - that's what I had :) And I cleaned and sealed the seal around the hatch. I also gave the antenna...
Fabricating a stand for the Raspberry Pi touch screen

While fabricating the legs for the Raspberry Pi touch screen I also got the chance to use the Parkside pillar drill from Lidl... took a while to put it together though :) Also used the Parkside jigsaw in an attempt to cut the sheet metal. Turned out it is easier by hand.
Changing big end bearings and starting! | Ticking engine in 2008 Toyota Aygo
Просмотров 14 тыс.3 года назад
Our Toyota Aygo had a ticking noise when it was cold - it almost disappeared when it warmed up. I have always wanted to do some actual engine work, so I decided I would change the big end bearings to see if it would fix the issue. It did 😃 😎 Changing the big end bearings of an Aygo, C1, 107 with the engine in the car is not easy. But with loads of tools and patience it is possible. The sump is ...

So, this took more than 90 mins thanks to one very stubborn bolt on the clutch inspection plate (which covers two of the bolts on the sump) The stubborn bolt came of, off camera. Last bolt to come loose is the 10mm nut and and stud inside the flywheel. Citroen C1, Peugeot 107, Toyota Aygo
1980 Honda XL250S air filter check and breather hose relocation
Просмотров 5763 года назад
While waiting for the timing chain to arrive, I'm checking the air filter - and noticed that the breather hose was pointing up and forward.... Ideal for leading water and dust into the engine. Also discovered that the choke cable was not properly fastened to the carb - maybe that is why it has not really been working.

So how many times do we need to kick it? I went about 4 full revolutions and got 60.

good job!
Bei mir dauert es noch 3 Tage, dann kann ich meine sanierte 1979er endlich anmelden. Toi, toi, toi! 🙂
I have the same car, same color, same problem 😆
it... wasnt... satisfying...
I was once paid 11 dollars an hour to do this to thousands of plastic things like this, most notably are car glove compartments.
chainsaw
Why the cable ties? Surely that will make it harder to compress the springs? I am going to be attempting 16 of these next weekend while in the bike and not much room under the frame pfft going to be a long day I feel.
Honestly, I can't quite remember, but I think it was to compress the springs. It must have made it easier, since I kept doing it 😃🫣 Good luck with your project 🤞💪
A good bit of film, but it would have been nice to hear the engine noise before you did the work. Good job.👍
Man that looks good!!!
Thanks, yeah it's pretty nice 😎😎
Thank you for the video. I sealed only the stop light with waterproof silicon , a few years ago, and never had any leaking problems since then . Toyota Aygo 2007.
what bags are those
'Promo SM' 🌈
When these have stood for a while. Turn petrol on and full choke and let it stand a few minutes. Open throttle fully wide open and close half a dozen times. This squirts a little fuel into the manifold. Now with full choke and no throttle kick it over. I say no throttle assuming everything is set up right. When hot set the throttle cable to have a couple of MM play. just a slight amount of slack on the cable. This stops the slide rising when throttle is fully closed as that is one of the main problems for poor starting. When they're set up right and you have the knack they are real easy starters but unlike 2T engines everything has to be exactly right. From my experiences with the XL's & TL's. I've owned 6 of them now and think they're the best small cc 4T engine ever built.. But you need to know the correct starting procedure. This one sounds as if no fuel was getting through. Once it started the engine would drag fuel in. As I say opening and closing the throttle squirts a little fuel in to prime it..
Not too loud, just enough
Quando pegar não desliga mais misericórdia 😂
From where did you get the chamber delete?
Doesnt sound louder?
Use headphones
Nice video, can you do a flyby with the chamber delete?
how did you insure that the cam shaft went back in in the exact same position as when it came out (relative to the crank etc)?
At 10:16 you can see the timing mark lines up on the crank end: ruclips.net/video/n50JheJBwW0/видео.html And on the cam shaft there are also timing marks that has to line up - and that is it.
When do the timing chains need doing on these
Should last the life of the engine but if they are making a metallic knocking sound after warning up … time to change
What oil
Ordinary sealant will fail...as not for outside use . Temp changes will cause it to go brittle...use stilafix... or similar sealant glue... ( im a coach builder)
No you ain't as any silicone will work as it's water resistant mate I'm a window fitter you aint not builder obviously don't use caulk
Thats not proper start up.... thats why your kicking the crap out of it and its not starting
Man your entertaining
what exhaust is that
It came with the bike, so I don't know. Sorry.
Dude!! I've seen Harleys start easier!! What was the problem? I'm guessing you have a fuel peacock that has a "run" setting, and a "prime" setting, and you didn't use prime. Probably took awhile for gas to fill the float bowl??
I'm not exactly sure why it took so long. before and after it starts fine. I think you might be right, that the float bowl was not properly filled.
I’ve polished my cranckshaft as well with wet sandpaper and a 400 grit
Dit it work good stil now ?
How much oversize of the bearings did you use 0.50 / 0.25 ? if any overzise at all?. Nice job done anyway not in the best conditions so to see.
That's what I want to know too
Oversized bearings can't be used without (re)grinding the crank, which stayed in the engine.
doesn't the Aygo/C1/107 have a cork sump gasket?
Wow, I didn't kick start it that long and I only got 100. I might put an impact wrench on the crank and whirl it that way. I hope you are ok. That's a lot of work.
I really enjoyed this, I like your careful methodical approach. You can work on my bike anytime!
Thanks Ken, appreciate it.
5:20 why you have to take out this driver
What was the mileage? Mine's on 199,350 and just started tapping noise when cold - immediately after oil and filter change. Very suspicious!
Same! i changed my oil and filter as well. and then it started coming
The answer could be thinner oil if the oil is as an example 0w30 it I really thin but if you used a 5w40 before where the oil I thicker it could have filed the gap in the bearing
Excellent video same problem Toyota ago 2008 will get the gasket you used 👍
Well done…I’ve never seen big end bearings done this way before
What's the liquid silicone in the jar with the brush? Where did you get it? Thanks
I brought it with me from Denmark, i haven't really seen it anywhere in the UK. We used it in the winter to keep water off the seals, so they won't freeze to the car/doors. But also to keep the seals soft and working.
@@mischiefgarage8882 OK, no worries, thanks for the reply.
use gummi pflege for seals available ebay etc
Excelente trabalho. Linda moto! Gostei do prolongador do paralama dianteiro!
Automatic regulator!!!!
Solo espichandome el closs de sale la tapa sola No hay necesidad de golpear así con el destornillador , puede quedar con fuga
Yeap, I've been there... Now that's what I call a masterpiece of automotive engineering ... I had to remove the stupid oil pan, to remove the timing chain cover (to install a new timing chain kit), and I had to deal with that stud... I was just screaming under the car.... My wife went running to the garage, thinking the car was crushing me... No. It was just me, calling all the" bad names" to the genius that designed this engine.... Men I was so mad... I left it, and only returned next day.. I ended up cutting the tip of the stud with a dremmel. Just enough so I could remove the oil pan...
I feel your pain... It really is not designed for easy maintenance.
What manual were you using?
Hi, It was the Haynes manual for the Honda XL/XR 250/500
Thanks for the video. Just what I was looking for as well. I was wondering what stuff you are using in between the new ( window) seal at 6,17 min and what are you using in the hatch seal 7.58 min. Thank you !!
For the tail lights I used som instant gasket :) And for the window seal I used some cheap sealant. (Next time I will use some good silicone sealant)
I had one of these in the late 80s, wish I still had it.
I hate kicking mine over so much too!
Yeah, it was only after the timing chain replacement - it usually starts quite easily 😎
I wanna ride
Me too 😎🏍️
Same issue with my C1 👍
The little rubber button just above the tail light is also a problem, cured by a bit of silicon .
Nice one Just what I was looking for. Thank you
