    Ken Anderson had good numbers, sadly Bengals lacked good defense.

  • @carspiv
    @carspiv 10 часов назад

    In Anderson’s first three years, the Miami Dolphins were at their apex. They were a complete team with a top-tier defense and the best ground game in the NFL. Then, the Steelers won 4 of the next 6 Super Bowls with teams that featured Hall of Famers on BOTH sides of the ball. Then, you had Raider and Cowboy teams that went to a combined 6 Super Bowls between 1971 and 1980. The ONLY HOF’ers in Bengals’ HISTORY are Ken Riley and Anthony Munoz-and Munoz’ rookie season was 1980. Anderson never really played on a COMPLETE team; they didn’t have a single pro-bowler on the OL for the entire decade Ken Anderson belongs in the Hall of Fame and was better than ANY quarterback of his era excepting MAYBE Roger Staubach. Put him on the 1970’s Rams and THEY may have won 4 Super Bowls!

    The Raiders were not good enough to capitalize on opportunity nor take advantage of mistakes by opponents. Hence, the results in the history books & games. It all played out according to the efforts & worthyness of respective teams. Like the Vikings of that era.... Good enough to make 4 Superbowls but CHOKE each time they got there. All these years later, people still debate this rivalry... The money flowed as it was designed to at the time.... The same as it flows NOW.

    Ken Anderson is the only eligible quarterback with 4 passing titles to NOT be in the Hof. He was also neighbors with NBA Hof Dan Issel. Another underrated athlete. Not bad for a small town in Illinois.

    Great Video. To expand on this, George Seifert is one of the greatest coach of all time. Seifert was the DB coach for the 81 niners that shut Anderson down in the SB, with a secondary of three rookies and a second year player. Lott was still a corner. Anderson did not throw a TD in the SB. He then became DC and shut Marino down in the SB. In 87, as DC, the niners did not give up a TD against the Bengals in the rematch. Once he became HC, the niners scored 49 and 55 points in offense without boy genius Walsh who averaged mid 20s in three Super Bowls. Walsh, the media darling, was nowhere near the coach that Seifert was.

    I am a Steeler fan. And I agree. Ken Anderson should be in the Hall of Fame. He was a very good Player QB. And in the 70's The old " Central division " was The toughest division. All four teams had very Good QB's. It is sad that Mr. Anderson isn't in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

    Your selection of clips is beyond anything I have ever seen. Remarkably technical sound quality. I have seen about 5 of your videos and am interested to watch all of your content. I would like to help you produce more. I rarely write comments My intention is to constructively give feedback on your presentation. No hidden sarcasm or double meanings-- I am trying to be direct and precise. I rarely post so my expectation or hope is for creators to enjoy reading this lengthy but sincere comment ( if it interests them or suits their fancy) My main aim to offer my opinion to the creator of this content. I do not want you to change who you are as a human being, I think of you as the creator of an amazing video. I felt informed and entertained in.a documentary-style, smartly arranged. both visually or audio-only, podcast version? It told a story. Intelligent and interesting. You are a great storyteller, but your presentation of facts and statistics could be better paced imo. The rhythm I suggest is as follows: 1) continue to speak at your current speed for 80 - 90% of your videos. For instance your cadence and pace during your segments on historical context, character--building anecdotes, and the majority of your creation is smooth and easy to follow.--I think this is its strength. 2) I suggest a quicker rhythm for the statistic portions, especially quicker during segments with increased speed followed by a short pause and finishing with your quips or astute obervations or an opinionated discussion point. The clips are synced nicely with the rest of what it did to transition / open / close.. states of mind while vieweing me were sentimental, nostalgic, intriguing, curious, sometimes humorous. sometimes I wonder about the source materials of quotes. Are there direct sound bites or someone else making the same point another way? You present many angles of controversial arguments with a balanced summary sentence and your own perscpectives and opinions, backing up with primary source material or screenshots are brilliant. I was impressed it navigates sensitive topics and told the athlete's story including personal / childhood / developmental details. equally impressed with the B-roll, stills, highlights, sports TV clips, gifs, funny / rare phoitos (how were they found?--- Last I enjoy watching old football games / reruns, hoping to find a fun one by looking up interesting stats (game winning drivees / 4th quarter comeback) and finding highest scoring or interesting matchup in the list, or in cases with lots of options-- 90's games for nostalgia 80's games for strange time warp experience 2000 - 2010--for best era of spectator sport 2010 - 2020 the fantasy years 2020 - current - streaming era? global expansion? who knows, who cares, I care Sincerely

    You don't mention the biggest evidence of the degree of animosity between Pittsburgh + Oakland. The Raiders 1st Super Bowl ring has the AFC Championship score, 24-7, on it. Not the Super Bowl score. Raiders knew they were the best after beating the Steelers. 70s Steelers best team ever (IMHO) and I'm a Giants fan.

    Ken Anderson WAS VASTLY UNDERRATED. Obviously you're not A Bengals 🐅 Fan. Played At Augusta, A Real Powerhouse 😂. Smart, Tough, Really Gritty player. I was a Bengals fan in 1978, age 6. My brother Steve loved The 49ers . So you know we had some fun watching Those Super Bowl Matchups. He probably had a little more fun than me . I remember Ken , Anthony Munoz , Ickey Woods James Brooks SD basically gave him away for Pete Johnson power back. We had the Super Bowl won ,until we dropped the int in the end zone. Louis Breeden had it but then he didn't. Next pass to John Taylor TD 😢 . People forget or don't know. The West Coast Offense Was in Cincinnati before it landed in SF. The Head Coach was on The Bengals team before SF. So basically The West Coast Offense took off from Riverfront Stadium. I watched the AFC Championship in Riverfront 🏟️. 35 Degrees Below ZERO ,Wind Whistling. I believe The River Was FROZEN. Way before All The Cold Weather , Moisture Wicking Technology came in. You can't hardly wear anything under your pants, except maybe thermals or pantyhose 😂 . We busted up SD that day. Apparently SD weather ☀️ doesn't really help on the Ohio River In January. But Ken Anderson Was A Really Good QB on a not really good team mostly. We should have won when Louis Breeden had the 🏈, but he dropped it. WRs have better hands than DBs. I know, I can replay it in My Mind 40 years after it happened. The Tim Krumrie leg injury was almost as tough to watch as Joe Theisman injury . GRUESOME. Tim Krumrie is Also underrated. Tim Could Lock Up A Center and make it look easy. Really Strong NT. They had no real answer for Tim . After He went down ,the fat lady started warming up. I knew even as a child , when the game shifted. Hard to believe, but 🏈 used to be Fun. Forrest Greg was a good coach. James Brooks was the Second Best Back from Auburn behind Bo. I should know, I'm Also A BAMA FAN. 😂 BO JACKSON WAS NOT MY FAVORITE PLAYER . He tore us a new one just about every time we played Oakland. Look up his stats against Cincinnati. 😮. I left off Boomer after He thru us under the bus for The Stealer Debacle. AJ McCarron had us going pretty good for a backup QB. Ken was better than Boomer . Tougher, old school, Respected. I didn't even bring up David Fulcher . He wouldn't be Able To play Today. Too Tough. Nobody Ran Over David Fulcher, Not Bo, Not Earl, Not Eric Dickerson. See how many times Dave got it , not many. He would hurt most RBs today. Players ARE Not like Lott, Atwater, Cecil, Browner. Why the game SUCKS When you compare eras. Now we have overpaid RUclips Stars that can't play through a headache. Shout out To Sam Wyche, Another Very Good Offensive Coach. Famous for Several Things, My Top 2 Putting a Zerox copy in the Refs Pocket so he could see what Sam wanted him too. You don't live in Cleveland, 😂😂😂 Awesome going down Memory Lane.

    St louis boy here. Warner did not degrade because of injuries in 2002, he degraded because of injuries to marshall faulk. He lost his job to rookie mark bulger. He had the luxury of having 2 hof quality wide receivers in the prime of their careers, plus faulk. Trent green was a much better qb and you would never heard of warner if greene didnt get hurt in preseason 0f 1999. Warner went to the giants and was terrible. He then moved to Arizona, with two hof quality receivers in the prime of their career, who took them to the superbowl. Ken anderson was always one of my favorite qbs growing up. He should be in the hall, he was much better than bradshaw. Bradshaw is the only other qb i could think of with 2 hof quality receivers in the prime of their careers.

    Heisenberg at the NFL level: you can only determine if the hands were on the ball -- not if the ball was moving individually of the hands, nor if that meant there was no control. How long should control last? If I grasp a ball with one hand while holding it making me lose a bit of pressure with my other hand, making it shift a little... am I in control of the ball? Did I have control before I started squeezing? Did I lose control? Stop bothering with that stuff.
