On day 1 hour 4 at the small item merchant can you explain why you did not buy the Crypto? I generally always buy those and was wondering what you thought of it or why you did not buy it then.

Also for much of the run Dillo went off more than 3 times faster than pulse rifle, not that it ended up mattering, just wanted to point that out for further optimization since you could get more duct tape triggers that way. Cheers!

The Dillo is happening on two. You were thinking about it slightly wrong. You were thinking the charges happen at .33 and .66. They actually happen at .00 and .33 then the Dillo passively goes to 100% just before .66 which causes the ".66 charge" to happen at .00 of the next cast for every rotation. That's why you were seeing the delay between the 2nd charge and the cast. But since you were at 4.638 it worked out like you wanted. At exactly 4.6666 it would have been down to order of operations between passive cooldown ticks and charge ticks. Edit: That does not mean that 4.33s would make it faster though, only the first rotation would be impacted postively by that. Because then it would actually cast at .33 and .66 every following rotation. Even the 4.66s does that eventually, but only once the delta between 4.6666 and the actual cooldown causes it to shift forward .33s over time.

That's a bug at the end

6:06 I’ve said the same thing “there must be some calculation to determine what’s better here”. For fun, I just charted it out looking only at the fire dmg over 20s when comparing all on left of core vs splitting 50/50 with bomb squad and omega ray on the right. Given no slows, charges, etc besides the core being charged by items on left, splitting is 19% better burn damage overall. However, the options are pretty even until around 15s into the fight then the scaling quickly runs away doing 233 more burn dmg with a majority of that difference coming after 15s. There’s a period from 7-14s into the fight where splitting does less damage but it’s only about 12 less damage during that stretch. Seems the benefit from applying the core’s burn faster does not outweigh the scaling it applies to a couple fire items to the right.

This game has absolutely zero matchmaking. There’s no rank priority or skill priority every single rank plays the same random players saying you’re a “top” ranked player with matchmaking is insane.

Burn Core + Rays build is crazy consistent, really hard to lose a run atm.

I'd be very interested to see how you play shield core. The way I usually play it is with harmadillo banana alpha ray engine, but if I miss one of those items it's kinda rough. I'd put it on a level with weaponized but maybe there's more and better strats? From what I tried with it, it was still the most consistent way to play it though. Crit and normal core are by far the worst ones at the moment imo.

I somehow never even considered the possibility that crane's passive would be multiplicative with itself. Mostly because it would be so dumb for it to work that way, that no one would feasibly make that design decision. But here we are, with cranes requiring scientific notation to display its damage. Lovely.

I’m largely a fan of the changes, only thing that I don’t like is the port nerf. Just seems too heavy handed, reloading only 1 ammo is brutal. I still often pick it up for econ but rarely end up building around it, quite sad because I really enjoyed port build variety.

Dang Walter and similar items that want time to stack are nerfed by this new sandstorm dealing crazy damage

Very fun to watch! Would love for you to do something like krip's over explained series for new players like myself. Obviously no need to make it the main point of the channel but videos here and there would be super useful, going over more details about decisions and why you make them as if the viewers would not understand the items/synergies
