6:06 I’ve said the same thing “there must be some calculation to determine what’s better here”. For fun, I just charted it out looking only at the fire dmg over 20s when comparing all on left of core vs splitting 50/50 with bomb squad and omega ray on the right. Given no slows, charges, etc besides the core being charged by items on left, splitting is 19% better burn damage overall. However, the options are pretty even until around 15s into the fight then the scaling quickly runs away doing 233 more burn dmg with a majority of that difference coming after 15s. There’s a period from 7-14s into the fight where splitting does less damage but it’s only about 12 less damage during that stretch. Seems the benefit from applying the core’s burn faster does not outweigh the scaling it applies to a couple fire items to the right.
Yo leaky! Thanks for this! Do u take into account the actual damage to the enemy when u do the calculations? Like at 5 sec with this board setup uve dealt this much dmg to the enemy, at 6 sec its this much and maybe stop at around 500-600 total dmg since most pvp opponents wont have much more than that in early days. Would love to see ur results! Since burn is a damage over time mechanic we have to take time into account as well as damage. So the earlier we put more burn on an enemy the more actual dmg it might become vs ending the fight with more burn stacks on the enemy.
@@tajsama I only compared burn damage as I was most intrigued by how the configuration impacts its scaling. But for that, I was considering what you say. Accounted for 2 ticks/sec, 1 burn lost per tick, cumulative over 20 secs in both configs. I believe both reached the 600 damage mark at roughly the same time, which if I remember was like 13-14s in. But the split config definitely outperforms once you exceed that timeframe. The bigger picture of what you're suggesting is a good idea for a calculator to min/max layout by determining perfect condition dps over a given number of seconds. Or calulate time needed to deal x damage. I'd be surprised if someone isn't already working on this!
I'd be very interested to see how you play shield core. The way I usually play it is with harmadillo banana alpha ray engine, but if I miss one of those items it's kinda rough. I'd put it on a level with weaponized but maybe there's more and better strats? From what I tried with it, it was still the most consistent way to play it though. Crit and normal core are by far the worst ones at the moment imo.
Ive played it with forcefield, fast weapons with alpha, fast weapons with sharp corners. Theres many ways u can play armored core, very flexible. I’ll upload one in the coming days but if you want access earlier they are in my twitch vods. U could also ask the same question in my discord and u will have many top 10 players answer u.
This game has absolutely zero matchmaking. There’s no rank priority or skill priority every single rank plays the same random players saying you’re a “top” ranked player with matchmaking is insane.
there's still ranks that you can achieve, that you will only reach by winning a disproportionate amount. to get to the high ranks of "legend" you need to basically get 10 wins every run, if not 10/3 or better. so yes, if you have a winrate that high, even if it's against the same people that everyone is playing, if you just win that much more, you can definitely call yourself a top ranked player imo.
@@ahausch1 no you just have more time to play lmao... and yes its true you only get MMR in legend if you get 10 wins but youre still playing a mix of zero rank players and high rank players no matter where you are. After just playing 20-30+ hours you easily can get 10 wins consistently this game has no real "ranked" its just a playtime based ladder. Saying "I have the most playtime" is not a flex, its a yikes.
@@tajsama You literally cant 1v1.. this is the most cringe reply from any creator ive ever seen. lmao good luck growing your channel when you cant take feedback and say things as stupid as that. The video was good you had good explanations and you seem to know what youre doing but this game has no real ranked so titling your video like that just makes it misleading and less interesting. And being an ass in the comments wont help your channel.
Ure making valid points on ur reply to the other commenter that i can engage with. The MMR system at the moment is ELO based so to climb to the top u need better than 10-3 on average.. if you get 10-3 u end up with +-0 MMR. When u vs low mmr ppl u gain/lose less/more. I partly agree on the time to play part - but only in very easy metas.. if anyone without much skill or knowledge of the game can easily get 10-0 in a meta then its all about who plays the most and fastest so ure partly correct there. Its the blanket statements that makes u wrong but u seem reasonable enough for me to spend the time to comment again

Burn Core + Rays build is crazy consistent, really hard to lose a run atm.
