Zero starts from me because it has completely f..ed with my head. I'm overanalyzing each scene, feeling angry over Jinx being taken in by Slico and getting influenced so much that she is torn, feeling depressed for Vi that all she does is try to protect her sister, yet Jinx cannot understand and come back to her. I'm completely coming mad waiting for the next season. Like, what show has the right to do that to my head and emotions?

in my view, all of Arcane characters are asked the question "How far are you willing to go for ___?" and they struggle so much with this that's what makes them human, that's what gives them depth and makes them interesting to watch I can't see how that wouldn't make them interesting to watch, but that's just my opinion

I liked your video, one thing I do disagree with you on is when you called Marcus a "good guy". I'd be interested to see yours and others perspectives on this. In my opinion, from what I saw in the show, he is not a good person. First, he dehumanizes those in Zaun, saying "I'm going to bury the lot of you" at the Last Drop, calling Zaun children "sumprats", looking down on Vander and insulting his intelligence "That thick head of yours" "You shady son of a bitch", to the point where Grayson sends him outside to cool off. He does not seem to grow from this dehumanizing mindset in the time jump, as he shoots Echo in episode 7 without hesitation on the bridge, while he does hesitate to kill Caitlyn (though we'll never know if he would have gone through with it or not). Second, he blatantly shows disrespect and disregard for Piltover law and that of his higher up commanding officer, as he goes behind Grayson's back to make a deal with Silco, ultimately getting Benzo and Grayson killed. It is a deal that seems atleast in part motivated by greed and self interest for money(and would not have been necessary, as we can see they already had their scapegoat for the council- Vander) as he is handed a bag of coins and one falls in the blood of the now dead Grayson. That backhanded deal is what cemented Marcus to me as a "bad guy", because he allowed whatever morals he may have had to be corrupted by money, greed, and cowardice. Now that I'm typing this, I've realized Marcus did not have faith in Piltover's own law system, which is ironic considering he became the sheriff. I say he didn't have faith in Piltover law because he did not trust Piltover to be able to go after someone like Silco when Silco initially came to him with a deal, and if he was only thinking of money when he initially made the deal with Silco, if he had only cared about his daughter and had turned himself in(or blown himself up to take out Silco-- which in my opinion would have solved nothning as someone else in Zaun likely even more brutal would have taken Silco's place), he didn't trust Piltover would take care of and protect his daughter from Silco and those who work for Silco. Damn this show has layers. Again great video, let me know what you guys think!

I would have a fun debate with this guy. (Coming from someone who's favorite character is Silco.) I think characters that have are shown as good at the start make me disinterested because it shows that they don't show their form of growth immediately. I want to see a character that isn't perfect, that has room for improvement, that has ideals that are challenged because it shows how a character truly changes at the end of the show.

While it is true that games ought to be properly bug tested before launch, I don’t think this is new. Battlefield 4 famously had a terrible launch, but grew into a series favorite, arguably the peak of the series. Frankly, if you buy a game on day one, or worse, pre-order, you’re an idiot (or just have tons of disposable income). I always wait a year or two after launch by which point any all bugs/balancing has been fixed, all DLC is out, and you can buy the complete package on sale for $10-20 or even less, as opposed to paying $60-70 for a broken, buggy mess that has half the content, and you have to pay another $60 to get the full game at some later date.

  • @UnchainedEruption

Good video. I agree with you substantially. I generally hate most remakes and remasters, because I am of the strong belief that old, dated games should look and feel dated, because in that way they serve as a time capsule of when they came out, and give younger generations some way to experience that now. It preserves history. However, I am not against the occasional remake or remaster. Like you said, RE 2 is the gold standard. Granted I’ve not played any RE games before it, and likely wouldn’t have if not for the remake, but what makes it valid for me is the fact that it isn’t just a graphics upgrade, but a totally different experience (and a great one at that.) It is simultaneously faithful while still being a completely different game. Movie remakes used to happen every once in a while, and what makes a movie remake good is when it doesn’t try to completely imitate the source material but when it intentionally reinvents the wheel. Like a good cover song, how Hendrix’s “All Along the Watchtower” is radically different from the Bob Dylan original. For example, the Charlie’s Angels movies in the early 00s with Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu reimagined and modernized the original 70s tv show, and actually outshined its source material. The Tom Cruise remake of the 60s Mission Impossible series is great because it doesn’t try to replace the original but do its own take in it. A video game remake, therefore, should try to be faithful to the spirit of the original, while still being a completely different experience. A perfect example is the Doom series. Doom 3 was a reboot or remake of the original DOS masterpieces that is just as brilliant. It’s the same basic game, but totally different. Much more grounded and realistic, and it takes the horror vibe up to 11. The series was rebooted yet again in 2016, going in the total opposite direction, with minimalistic, cheesy almost plot, but delivering excellent arcadey arena gameplay. And its sequel, the loose reboot of Doom II, known as Doom Eternal, is perhaps the most innovative FPS since Half Life 2. It inspired not only other games such as Shadow Warrior 3, but also spawned a whole music genre known as “Argent Metal.” However, too often the thought process behind game remakes is, “Keep it exactly the same, just make it look like it came out today.” If that is the reason alone, then it is a bad reason. Especially for games that came out in the Xbox 360 generation or later, since graphics already look very realistic by that point. It is a waste of time and resources, and frankly insulting to the original. If you can compare a remake or a remaster to the original, and they’re close enough in art style and gameplay that you wouldn’t buy it if you had the first one, then it’s a bad remake*. (Last of Us PS4 edition is an exception, because its existence has less to do with the slight graphical update and more to do with the fact that the game came out at the very end of the PS3’s life cycle, so they wanted a version for the PS4 market.) Many old school FPS games from the DOS era, like Shadow Warrior (1997) for e.g., are literally just a source port, the kind of thing modders make for free. Asking people to pay money for a source port is ridiculous, especially when the original Shadow Warrior and its expansion were legally released already for free. Another huge sin is when remasters needlessly make the file size way bigger for negligible changes in graphics you can’t even notice. The Borderlands 2 HD pack adds 10 GB for no reason. Halo 2 and Battlefront 2 have their file sizes 5-10x larger! The Call of Duty and Crysis Remasters are the most laughable imo, because not only were the originals known for excellent graphics that obviously still look amazing today, but in some cases the originals actually look much better than the remaster! Crysis 2 remaster actually looks worse! But even if it didn’t, Crysis was known to have graphics ahead of its time. If there’s one series that didn’t need a remaster, that was it!

I guess the major let down for me was that it could’ve been a fresh start for the franchise, a way to refine the ideas of the game into a cohesive story. Also, I don’t know if it’ll be a twist later but for now, why isn’t Michael related to William Afton in this? That was a major thing in the games that I wanted to see portrayed if not in this film, but set up for the sequel.

I think they could've helped along the tonal issues with the fort scene more if they'd just done that sooner rather than later. It would've been a better build-up overall as well with Afton slowly taking control more & more, as well as us seeing the animatronics as a threat before the characters realized it. Either way though, I enjoyed this hot mess & as a long-time fan, it made my heart incredibly happy finally seeing this thing come to fruition :) love the vid btw!!

Guys it’s a Fun B Movie not a horror movie LMAO. Why else do you think it had a lower budget, what has always been interesting is the lore; far more then the horror more so the mystery and community theorizing if you were. Campy lines? B movie. How do you make a movie with gore and a vibe younger audience can enjoy? Endless Easter eggs and based on a indie game? B movie. It’s not a horror movie it’s a B movie. Charicters existing just to die? Or gag characters like doug? B Movie. The film got us theorizing what more did you expect? A rated R movie for a game with a younger demographic?. Even so they pushed their pg 13 rating well with gore and kills. If your a fnaf fan you should be use to retcons being made to make a more intriguing plot by now. Half the fun is trying to figure out how they are going to implement this story going forward with the remixed concise elements. If your not a fnaf fan it’s a b movie, have a fun bmovie watch party with a group of friends. Talk around it at home viewings. Just don’t go into it with IGN expectations else you be disappointed. Same vibe as the 1995 mortal combat live action movie. A bit of fun, camp, and some fatalities but this time with more intrigue.

1:51 Just to clarify, the problem with SB's lore wasn't that there wasn't anything hidden or mysterious, in fact there tons of unanswered questions that spawned from it. The problem was that it was very poorly executed in comparison with the other entries of the franchise, with dozens of details and clues contradicting each other, a lot of elements being very vague, and the story having seemingly been changed last minute. Anyways, I agree with almost everything you said about the movie lol

There are a few types who gave this show 1-star reviews. 1) Trolls. Maybe loved the show...maybe didn't even watch it. They just wanted to leave a shit review because they get off on the tumult it can generate. 2) Someone who is, for any variety of (likely valid) reasons, angry and spiteful towards Riot Games (and probably rightly so...because Riot fucking sucks and they're criminal assholes who make shit games and kill good games by other studios). It doesn't occur to those leaving the reviews that Fortiche aren't explicitly owned by Riot, but by this point Riot is almost the only company they can do any work for because they've already done so much. One might call them "typecast" by now. And because of Riot's bad reputation, many probably don't want to work with an animation studio so closely tied with them. 3) Someone who is just cognitively disabled in one or more ways. They just happen to lack the perceptual or cognitive capacity to actually get all the pieces and keep them together. Kind of like how some people prefer anime dubs because they can't read subtitles quickly or unobtrusively enough (for the record, I personally have no preference most of the time and will gladly watch subs or dubs, but being UNABLE to keep up with subs is very much a defect).

Gaming has not gone in the wrong direction because there was no wrong direction about it gaming like most forms of entertainment is a art form where some might desire it others might not just as you present art that is appealing to some who would rate it high presenting art to say someone who has zero investment or attachment will result in a low rating. Its more to do with the landscape of how gaming has become and that is more due to peoples tolerant to what they will accept and not and well people have become far more accepting of things nowadays then compare to years ago that making one mess up could cost you your business compare to today where you could simply just patch it out and even if it is buggy people will still play it with the mentality it will get patched out. Basically people nowadays will accept literal trash and this tells developers that its okay because people will tolerate it.

Very fair points there, especially the final one. Sometimes I really don't understand why people must defend this billion dollar corporations as much as they do 🤷‍♂

I just stopped caring about expensive, AAA titles. One of the huge reasons, that hasn't been touched upon by you, is the death of Co-Op in AAA games, because it simply doesn't make them enough money. So fuck that, I play Squad and Battlebits (that's another topic for itself) for my FPS itch, and then mostly RoR, DRG and other Indie games that provide coop to play with my lads. Gaming isn't dead, big corpos are dying, hopefuly. It's also the same with film industry, major corps just shit out garbage nobody likes.

"Pre-orders have always been a thing. Don't blame us." Oh you, sweet summer child. Pre-orders used to be rooted in reality. You had a physical product (cartridges, boxes, manuals) for which pre-orders would give the company a heads up about how much product they needed to prepare. Digital pre-orders are a wholly different beast. Yes, as a consumer, letting businesses take advantage of you and never learning to take responsibility for the consequences of your actions is your fault. "Vote with your wallet" is about the only truth left in this mega-corp hellscape we're living in. Anything you give your money to tells the money grubbers where they need to push you harder next time. Otherwise, it just sounds like you want this to be treated as if they're drug dealers and we're the addicts and only the inept government can come save us. Maybe that is what it is for some people, but.... It just doesn't ever sit right with me when people don't take responsibility for their own choices.

i agree with this vision, gaming is playing between a fine line. one is pure conssumerism withtout any creativ decisions, the other is the 10th art, video game, the one that make you feel AND interact throught the lens of many and varied creativ spirit. however, i somehow disagree with you on early acess, as you said, as much it did good, it also created a path of "bad" developing in purchase of money (sometime) or pure passion. Nowaday early acess has an another meaning Imo. wich mean you're literaly buying a unfinished movie, painting, or whatever media. YOU as a buyer, know it isn't complete yet (and it's suposed to be one day, wich is where justice and real bad shit happen, seek cube world and many other scandal), you're paying (most of the time) 50% of the game at the moment. But, you know you aren't going to get the full game, and the full optimized game yet. We can blame the developpers and their potential way of bad developing. But we as conssumer must overlook the face of video game today to truly know if we can get intimate with it, so my best advice is to check twice at least for an early acess. Otherwise you know what you signed for.

Congamez, I too abhor "The crazy girl equals Harley Quinn" trope amongst normies(Jinx had the blue and pink mix way before Harley for one thing, for another Harley isn`t even really all that crazy when you really think about it, she`s more a histrionic girl and a shrink who has shitty taste in men and keeps acting like a crazy clown girl even after breaking up with Joker out of habit and for attention, Jinx on the other hand is a legitimately traumatized and most likely neurodivergent and mentally ill misfit kid whose mind fragments to cope with the guilt of accidentally killing her friends including her first adoptive father and is then adopted by a criminal after her older sister hits, scolds , yells at and abandons her(And no, the fact Vi did not intend to abandon Powder does not matter because Powder had absolutely no way of knowing that at the time, human beings are not omniscient deities!) , if you think you would not go "crazy" under that set of circumstances you are lying to yourself!)

"Resident Evil 1 Remake is the quid essential blueprint on how to remake a video game" - Alpha Omega Sin Preserve Enhance AND Add content. That's where all these other remakes fall short and why RE1 will at this rate anyway be the greatest remake of all time PERIOD
