I guess the one who brought that silly rumor into the world, confused Naoko with JKR. JK had that rags to riches story and meanwhile is best known for being twitter infamous. When I read the little side notes in her art books and manga series, Naoko pretty much sweapt me from my feet with all her chit chat about fashion, design, antiques, cars, restaurants and what not. I as below middle class middleschooler realized: "Dang, this lady knows the high life and had always been popular. And luckily Princess Naoko is more of a recluse - unlike JKR ... I'm a middle aged (41) woman who grew up with Sailor Moon, but my favorite senshis changed over time. It will forever be a comfort topic for me.

Kuwabara is also out of dress code, Sarayashiki uniform is dark blue. But kuwabara is light blue. I think it was the animation team to make yusuke more rebellious and kuwabara only slightly rebellious in comparison. IN the manga its implied the uniforms are just dark or black. So it was clearly the anime team idea.

2024 and Naruto is still one of my favorite Shounen Jump Manga/Anime series. I'm literally obsessed with this series as a kid in elementary school.

The 1980s is a golden age of shounen Manga and Anime because over the top violence and so many iconic characters like Seiya, Goku and Kenshiro etc.
