PLEASE RATE!!!! Dont leave bad comments i will erase it, not because i dont like free speech; as a matter of fact if you give a bad comment on a video that i have that is mine (like the one i am singing here on youtube) i will not erased it; but in this film is not me who is acting, so i think for respect. Say things about anthony, he is the god of the musical theater, yes sir!!!!

He’s great but I much prefer Ramon Karimloo as Enjolras. Earlier transposes many of the high notes downward which loses some of the building and punch of the musical phrase.

3:48 is a great bit of acting. He starts the line angry and then midway though seems to remember that Marius is his friend and very young, and softens his delivery mid-sentence.
There have been some very good Enjolras but no one can compare to Warlow's portrayal
I had the enormous privilege of seeing the great Anthony Warlow in an Arcadians production (Wollongong) - my aunt was the lead violinist - he was an adolescent at the time - my parents both said he would go along way and indeed he did - watching this and reminiscing - have seen him many times since - sadly my mother never did

My very first Enjolras. Truly glorious. What an event this was. One of the greatest nights in Australian theatre history. ❤❤
Voted it down because of the outrageous fireworks display as if war and especially a need to revolt is a celebration ! And yes, Warlow is the best so far, but he is also dimming and is all we have until someone equal to or greater than comes along to outshine him.

Which production is this? I really like Warlow's performance. (First time I've seen/heard him.) But the other students look way too old. And this is definitely not my favorite Marius. Yikes.

i feel like in this performance you can really feel the energy and optimism all of them have for the revolution. it's something i find - weirdly - missing in most renditions of this song, but it's done so well here
And I thought Grease had suspiciously old students.

Warlow was internationally regarded as the best Enjolras
which is probably why he ended up on the Complete Symphonic Recording (Hard to believe that album is 30 years old this year)

Staged for TV I think a lot of the performers lost something, or perhaps the nerves took over. Peter Cousins (Marius) was much better on stage than here, but he played the love sick puppy part well. Anthony Warlow always made me want to leap from my seat and join him on the barricades to die. I've not seen or heard his Enjolras surpassed, and sadly in the movie they neutered the character, I suspect to give more focus to Marius.
The singing is great but this video is making me laugh so much XDXD

I really like Warlow! He reminds me of Michael McGuire who is my favorite. They really captured the fanatical revolutionary. Some of these more modern Enjolras seems sort of passive or blase to me. I prefer the old angry kind.

Michael McGuire and Joe Kolinski (1st and 2nd OBC Enjolrases) have never been duplicated. Warlow is excellent (just not the best).
Well, I have to plead ignorance on "who" this Warlow guy is??? But, I can confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt that both Michael McGuire AND our talented brother - Joseph Kolinski were EXCELLENT in the role of "Enjolras" in Les Miserables on Broadway. Because I was sitting in the audience, and witnessed their amazing talents.

Of course there are always people who don't like him, but his phantom is not one of those that cause controversy or anything. When he did phantom in 2007-2009, all the reviews, official or unofficial, highly praised him. That's not "polarized" in my book. And he never played Marius....................
Anthony Warlow is fucking perfect and whoever this guy playing Marius is just too doe-eyed or something. Warlow deserves better, like Michael Ball or something. Or maybe he should do both parts!
