It would be nice to have a video showing how to change the oil that's in the torque.
@@francoiscote4461 the only way to do that is either you take the transmission out or you change the oil several times over a short period of time
I did exactly what was done in this video. Why is the engine idling weird??? Like it feels like it wants to stall but doesn’t
What is “a number 7” exactly? Because my 7mm ratchet isn’t grabbing onto anything…
@@SMBH-M87 #7 Allen key.
@@jaythemechanic4950 Yeah, my frustrated little brain had to do some thinking to figure it out… thank you though. Video was helpful l
My 2015 X-trail run 200k and still i didn't change it, when I checked Nissan service center, they said CVT transmission oil no need to change, now I'm confused.
And how much does that one more time cost sir?
Thanks god bless you
@@munwarghouri2676 thank you for watching 🥰
For the slide-pins, I have found that using a Q-tip/cotton swab and putting the anti-seize INSIDE the rubber tubes (sleeves? don't know what they're called) on the caliper works better. When I put the anti-seize on the slide pins themselves, it would all get wiped off the pins when I inserted the pins into the tubes. So putting the anti-seize inside the tubes first would get better coverage and the pins would slide much more easily.
does anyone know if the transmition change for europe? Especially for 1.7 dci diesel
What time is the championship race
Niceeee
I took the actuator off even when I put it in service mode lol now I can’t put it back on, how do I put the actuator back on?
Great video. Thorough!
In diesel b 180 cdi is the same? 2007
I'm about to get an 08 Silverado. This looks very easy!
I sure do wish you would have done the installation with the removal.
Thank you so much. I’m 60 yrs old and changing my oil for the first time. 😃
Very impressive and helpful video
How much would you charge for a job like that?
@@Cardicheese like $100 for labour plus part
@@jaythemechanic4950 😮thanks for the reply.. I bought the parts myself & started looking around for a mechanic to just put it in..three different mechanics quoted me at $250-$375 (flat rate) when I asked for itemized list of the charges they got upset about it.. I think I’m going to do it myself 😬 🤞 wish me luck
Good job buddy definitely very informative
Thanks a lot for info👍
Waist of my time ..
@@jeffreylankford8979 sorry. At least It was free. Thank you for watching.
Huge lifesaver. Truck died in drive thru with a trailer. Ended up being the plug under the dash, it wad halfway out
I lifted from the oil pan thinking it was the lift point and dented it... For those of you watching, be careful.
❤
Yes sir, it was very useful and informative and really appreciate your time to teach us how to do maintenance to our car. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for your video and tips. It was my second filter change this went much better. It’s still a tight spot!
Thanks for the video..!
Are cvt like regular trans if they dont change fluid regularly dont do it or risk of damage
Fram filters are terrible filters. Research them and you’ll see.

What kind of oil you recommend and what’s the amount it requires ? Awesome video
What if the caliber doesn't collapse
Did you have to remove the center console plastic section to gain access to the part your video shows. I see the plastic vent on the center console going forward to the gas petal , looks that that may be in the way, or is it? I have no problem taking off the section under the steering column ( obd port and hood release) I can do that, but can you even see the actuator with just the pieces removed from under the steering column as in 9:38 of your video? Thanks it is a very good video and I have a new part to replace the old damaged one.
You fuckin saved me it was my problem 💯
Awesome. Thanks for watching.
Very helpful and informative! Great video my friend.
How long does it take to change transmission gasket in 2013 acura rdx?
What a stupid design, I spend over 20 minutes putting the damn thing back in. Thanks for the info
Thank you. I'm thinking I take a 4" hole saw. Make a port for the filter and the screw. Never take those 17 screws out except that first time. 😂
That’s right. Just like they did to other model cars. Not sure why they decided to put a giant splash shield and not leave access holes. 😂😂. Who approved that design?
Thank You for this video I had the pleasure of doing this exact thing to my daughter’s car and it worked so well I will be watching more of your videos and hitting the like button Thanks Again Walter Clark
Thank you for watching.
You really should have a disclaimer somewhere in that video that you are showing people how to violate federal law by installing headlights that were not approved and or manufactured for those housings in particular and as a result may end up getting them fined and possibly making them revert the lights back etc. what you are showing people to do is illegal in every state
I understand and appreciate your concern/comment. The disclaimer is on the packaging of the product that you may end up buying. I’m not the manufacturer nor the seller of the product. If it was illegal as you say in all 50 states; then why are all car manufacturers allowed to sell the vehicle with similar or even brighter headlights from the factory? Most vehicles are now equipped with factory LED lights both for the front and rear of the vehicle.
You are correct about new cars having LEDs all over them in fact the point of my comment is that changing an incandescent bulb with any outward firing LED in any direction off the car is illegal in all 50 states. That means tail lights headlights back up lights brake lights unless you replace the entire housing with one designed for LEDs as the manufacturers have included on cars that have them

Awesome video! Thank you for taking the time to explain this.
Cool. Thank you for watching.
Hi Jay. I am hoping you read this comment soon. My question is related to the brake job once the maintenance mode is set in place using the scan too (which I do own one that that can do this). Once you begin the brake job are you still removing the electronic parking brake from the caliper? I assume yes. So the only thing the maitenance mode does is remove the need to manually turn the plate on the back on the back of the caliper with a torx socket, correct?
No. Once it is set into maintenance mode, you will do the brake job as usual. Once you are done put it back into normal mode. You do not remove the electronic parking brake from the caliper.
@@jaythemechanic4950 Hi Jay. Just to clarify, you are saying the caliper can be fully removed WITHOUT removing the parking brake assembly from the back of the caliper (it will stay attached when I remove the caliper). Correct? Thank you!
And if that is correct, how do I retract the caliper with the parking brake assembly still attached?
Ok. So when you use the scanner to put the ebrake into maintenance mode, the mechanism that engages when the ebrake is engaged will move away from the piston. Once it is in maintenance mode just do the brakes like you would otherwise. Just don’t forget to put it back into normal mode, otherwise your ebrake won’t work.
@@jaythemechanic4950 so does putting it in mainteance mode also suppress the caliber to prepare for new pads (and if not, how do I suppress the caliber with the parking brake connected to the back of the caliper)? Sorry to be a pain with multiple questions, I am just not fully clear by your explanation of how to suppress the caliper and I think maybe other viewers may have the same question. Thanks so much Jay!!
Thank you for this video very great information
