Im curious how much better is the hurricane rating on the V3R prototype. The V3 was rated pretty well but not better than metal roofs when compared side by side. This is my biggest hold up when choosing between the two.
The V3R is a Class F wind rated roof which means it can withstand 110mph winds which is equivalent to a max speed Category 2 Hurricane
Nothing from Musk the guy has polluted Tesla.
The adoption for the solar roof seems so slow relative to the hype a number of years ago; what's holding it back? Why isn't the cost coming down faster? Thanks for the great video. I'm in Utah and hope to eventually get one when I re-roof in a few years.

Yes, we’ve done work in the Caribbean, specifically Belize and Antigua.
The biggest lesson I learned in 2023 about the stock market is that nobody knows what will happen next, so practice some humility and low a strategy with a long-term edge.
Nobody knows anything; You need to create your process, manage risk, and stick to the plan, through thick or thin, While also continuously learning from mistakes and improving.

Absolutely loving the breakdown of the new V3R Solar Roof! The upgrades like the Class 4 hail rating and fewer parts for easier installs are super impressive. Makes me even more excited about Tesla’s direction.

What is the payback time for your house area scenario
Can’t put a number on peace of mind and convenience.. no one buys a generator asking when it pays for itself.. But if you look at strictly the solar roof cost without batteries and SPAN.. the payback period is ~17 years if you consider a 3% escalation in electricity prices annually.. and the payback drops ~2 years every time I avoid having to pay a deductible because of a totaled asphalt shingle roof from a hail storm.. the average lifespan of a roof in north Texas is 7-10 years, so it may have the potential to be closer to 13 years.. I guess only time will tell, I won’t be crunching the numbers though, I’ll be enjoying the peace of mind from not having to worry about rising electricity rates and power outages.

I have Powershare installed and operating fine. Am I doing damage to the CT battery by leaving it plugged in and at full charge? Tesla advises charging only to 80%.

I had the Tesla roof installed over 3 years ago , the best part was the $50k cost on a 3000 sq ft house (Tesla has significantly raised prices) and the two power walls it came with. The downside is the amount of energy it produces but by far the biggest downside is that you really cannot get up on the roof because of the glass surface, it is very slippery, don’t even think about getting on the roof if there is any moisture. If you are painting the house or doing any maintenance, you really need a harness, a pair of Vans skateboarder shoes with the sticky soles are a good idea also.
Any problems with equipment failure, roof issues, or Tesla support frustration?
Good Faith Energy designed, installed, and is currently servicing my solar roof.. I have had no issues with any of the items you mentioned.

You can have up to 4 dc expansion packs behind a powerwall 3. The dc expansion pack must be within ~12’ of the Powerwall its being coupled with.

Tesla's guidance is that the batteries run down to near 0 capacity and black start with minimal voltage
