C64 had better graphics than NES...it came out years before the Famicom (NES). In addition, it had way better sounds than NES. Yet Commodore had a lot of crappy titles. It should have ported lots of exciting arcade ports. C64 had a cartridge slot. It should have used it instead of that flimsy 5 /14 floppy drive which had limited capacity and silly swapping for multiple disks Cartridges also loaded way faster than disks. Commdore made too many mistakes.

I had all these games on the c-64 they were my childhood n in the end i ended up with over 300 games, games were cheap back then

I was only 12 wen i started playing games on the commodore 64 but ye the games were hard af, i had over 300 games bk in the day, sometimes u could be waiting an hour just to play coz of the cassette deck lol i had alot of these games fun times. Im 51 now n play the ps2

R-Type was GREAT, but you should have shown one of the levels with paralactic scroll. Same for Turrican, which was immpressive, a very state of art for the C-64.

Aside from the sharp version, i still think NES has the best graphics and sound.

Mr Wimpy Hamburger was a fun game back then, think it was on the Intelivision also but it was a long time ago now, around 40yrs ago. 🤣

leader board & R-Type were fab. Speedking was a great motorcycle game. Jetset Willy was a pain

i owned all of these c64 games bar leaderboard and paradroid. pyjamarama was my very first 64 game as it came in a bundle with kong strikes back (donkey kong on a roller coaster). I think that doorway in the first scene led to a game of space invaders

Many great games are mentioned in the comments that the video left out. Another one I recall was Spyhunter.

Although the graphics obviously aren't as good on the Amiga as the arcade games, the music quality on Arkanoid, Pang & Cabal (and perhaps a few others) is better (in my opinion) on the Amiga! Wonderful sound chip.

Racing Destruction Set was my favourite. There was another i really liked. But I cannot remember the title. You had a space ship and had to rescue people. But you didn't know if it was a Human or an Alien until it was close to your ship. if it was an Alien you had to get out of there quick lol.

Dam busters. Lords of midnight. Yojimbo. I had or played 75% of the list happy memories :) Dam busters was a very unique game for me, in that you used the numbers 1-7 to change screen while flying the plane (engine, front gun, back gun, pilot controls, bomb sights, map room etc) take off plane fly to bomb target fly back land basically, avoiding spotlights flak and shooting down balloons or fighter planes) Lords of Midnight go around a map and recruit lords to your army and take on evil armies that greatly outnumber you. I never played anything else like it. Yojimbo. Side scrolling samurai rabbit looked cool back then :)

Not many of those games would be on my top 30. Used to bring my C-64 every christmas and have a day of nostalgia but it was a few years ago now. Never understood why so many like Elite, I found it boring.

The master version "feel" you are talking about is because it has an odd "jerky" pace to it and just wasn't smooth enough. Like SMS Altered Beast. In Altered beast they used tiles instead of sprites to eliminate flicker but as a result it wasn't smooth, I wonder if that's what they did here and caused the same scrolling issue?
