There is no amp like this! Amazing Unique Marantz Stereo 70s review. Audiophile/Cinephile view
Look here for Phenomenal streamer and CD, Marantz CD50n:
ruclips.net/video/CGSEp5722Pg/видео.html
I spoke at length about how some amplifiers can work, sort of, as AVR alternatives. They are not going to satisfy your cinephile needs perfectly, but they are meant for someone who wants a great stereo amplifier-an amp designed to be musical, but that can carry a lot of weight and presence like an AVR.
And ladies and gentlemen, looking at the stats of my channel, this is the first amp that I can say is the perfect mix between an integrated amp and an AVR.
And I love that!

    Would you guys recommend the 6000cdt as a first transport? I’m looking for my first cd player in about 20yrs. I just recently put my first hifi(ish) system together in that time too. I don’t have a very high end system. My speakers are EDIFIER S3000PROMKII Active Speakers (Dual Texas Instruments 300w monoblock amps with independent Dsp, 6.5inch aluminium woofers, 116mm Planar magnetic diaphragm horn loaded tweeters, rated at 256wRMS 512w max and 36HZ to 2000KHZ frequency response). My external dac is chord mojo2 (I also have a Texas Instruments Dac built into the speakers) and I have a WiiM pro, that I think I could use as a preamp? I’m using audioquest cinnamon and golden gate interconnects. My speakers are very good for bass and the mojo2 controls the bass well, and the music feels quite dynamic to my uneducated ears already. Would this remove that bass and control? Or do you think that could that actually make a good match with the 6000cdt? Could the 6000cdt be a good fit with a more low end system like mine? Thanks in advance! All the very best!

    I use the Roksan with a DAC (Leake People RS06). Dynamics and pressure in the lower registers increase. At very high volumes, everything remains tonally clean. It is unbelievable how clean it is at high volumes. There is no sense of harshness. I love the combination.

    Hello! In your opinion what is best choice? Bw 606 s3, monitor audio silver 100 7g, wharfedale Evo 4.2 or Linton 85th anniversary? Thank you

    • @HIFIDaydreaming
      @HIFIDaydreaming 6 дней назад

      The price is different in all of this, so i can not say exactly who has the best value. But if you can afford every one of this speakers than it is between Linton and 606. 606 are more punchy and with a lot of energy and treble, but Linton is speaker that opens more is dynamicly rich on both end and has a bit more easy listening sound. More refinement in mids and bass. So it depends what you like. I would personally go with Linton.

    I owned the Polk legend L100's and i can say first hand that the 606 s3 are a world above the Polks. Not close. The polks lacked any low end and the highs were just nowhere near the detail level of the 606 s3. I tried multiple amps and subwoofers to help the Polks and gave up. Sold em and unfortunately the price of them took such a nose dive that getting $400 out of them was nearly impossible. Also i, as im sure many will agree, believe all bookshelf speakers benefit tremendously from integrating a subwoofer. It isnt just for bass output. It relieves the speakers from needing a super low end and crossing over a bookshelf at say 60-70hz, depending on model, makes such a difference. Take the Arendal 1961's. A very detailed and enthusiastic speaker with a ton of quality high points to its sound reproduction. Without a subwoofer, it is about 40% of the enjoyment of its full potential. With even an inexpensive subwoofer (say an entry level Rythmik) it becomes this listening experience that one would be cheating themselves out of if not for the sub. Any decent subwoofer should be able to incorporate itself with the speaker and become one. If you can hear your sub, you should adjust accordingly until its one cohesive unit. Just like components, they need to play nicely together and not accentuate each others weak spots but rather compliment.

      @HIFIDaydreaming 6 дней назад

      Hey Joe, really great post and comment, thank you for writing it here. I honestly have nothing to add here, it is a great thing to have sub, but I disagree a little bit that ig is a must especially for smaller rooms, or just for people who are not that much is weight and scope of sound and bass. But benefits od subs are countless and many. The only thing more I can say i have been dabbling in Arendal speakers for some time, I will do the review of bookshelfs in few months probably. Really great speakers.

    I bought an Anthem Integrated 225 just to pair with a new set of the 606 s3's. And please listen when I say that this is an absolute match made in heaven. The listening pleasure is greater than when I had what I thought was the best pairing I ever had which was the Nuprime Ida 16 with the Revel M126Be. That combo was absolutely unbeatable to me and was the best I'd heard or owned for 20 years. Then I got the 606 s3 and matched it with a Krell kav300il Integrated and it was bright and the soundstage was constricted. The bass was loose and the mids not forward enough. But I KNEW there was massive potential in the 606 s3's. I could sense it. So I scoured the internet and finally found an Anthem Integrated 225 for sale and snatched it up. Reason being is a friend had one and it could bring out the very top potential of any speaker it touched. And voila!!! It happened. Sonic bliss. Absolutely the best I've had. And I've had a lot. Paired with a Rythmik f14 and running Roon with proper stand height and speaker placement and it's done. Now I can't wait to get home and listen all night. Not fatiguing in the slightest. Imaging and soundstage height and width are perfect. It's just as close to perfect as I need. Please listen and if you get these, pair them with a powerful amp with sonic qualities that the speakers need. You need the headroom. You need clean power.

    Thanks for sharing! F.Y.I - You will get a giant step in audio quality in every facet of the audio if you upgrade the op-amps in your Fosi P3, and V3. The faults you find with these devices will mostly vanish once you upgrade the op-amps. You will get a more noticeable improvement upgrading the op-amps (Op-amp rolling) than you will over tube rolling. Sparkos SS3602 dual discrete op-amps are compatible. Your other devices may also have op-amp sockets to upgrade the op-amps in those devices too. There are many videos on upgrading the op-amps.

    • @HIFIDaydreaming
      @HIFIDaydreaming 10 дней назад

      I am considering for some time to buy op-amps, they are even sold from Fosi website. Same like you I follow many different youtubers and all of them are hyping this up, so I already planed in some near future to buy this, and maybe who know review it. But you review device as it is, not as how it can be when upgraded, so that is why I have not spoke about op-amps.

    This a really good (and fair) review and your sports car analogy was spot on. I think B&W has a challenge because the ~2200 USD/Euro price point is so competitive. KEF, Buchardt, Monitor Audio, ATC, Dynaudio - so many choices. That said, the 706’s are a good choice if you like the sound signature. Thank you again for the nice review!

    Great cart choices, and excellent descriptions of their tonal qualities. I own or have owned 1/2 a dozen or so of the ones you mentioned, all mounted to the same company’s headshells, (a bit OCD, I know…). I’ve tried the Nagaoka MP-110, the MP-500, but ended up going with the MP-200. It just seems like the sweet spot in their line of carts. That and my DL103r are my daily drivers, the 200 mounted to a Jelco HS-25 headshell, and the Denon on one of their anniversary headshells. For Goldring, I tried the 1042 and 1006, but went with the 1012 with the nude hyper elliptical stylus profile. I had a Hana ML for a bit as well as an Ortofon Bronze. I love Grado carts, and have owned many throughout the years, and recently tried the Opus3 then to the Platinum3 low output. Going through as many different carts as possible is of course the best way to find the sound(s) you’re seeking, but can unfortunately be prohibitively expensive as well. The Tavish Classic tube based phono pre is an excellent piece of gear, as it just takes a switch from MM to MC to change carts. Besides that, my EAR 834p no expense spared clone tube phono stage I built sounds amazing with MM carts, and adding a SUT before it really lets LOMC carts shine. I’ve been a bit obsessive with vinyl playback over the past almost 40 yrs, and have my 1st main stereo deck, but have enough mono records to justify adding a 2nd mono deck with an AT33MONO cart mounted to it. Again, great choice of really nice carts that aren’t outrageously expensive.

      @@HIFIDaydreaming Hi there 👋 Thanks so much for the kind words. I wasn’t sure if I was overstepping my boundaries with too much information, but then again, the vid was based on cartridges of which I have experience with over the past 30+ years, so I’m am very familiar regarding and their sonic qualities. As of now, I’ve got approximately 30 carts I know pretty well, all mounted to headshells. There’s plenty I didn’t mention…lol One more thing (sorry…lol), FWIW, a lot of mono carts aren’t true mono carts, and the R + & L + are only summed together internally in the body of the cart. An easy way to make your own “mono” cart is to wrap some very thin copper wire around the R + & L +. By doing so, you’re just strapping the R + & L + together and just summing it externally instead of internally. There are some real mono carts such as the AT33MONO and I believe the Ortofon 2M mono, but not 100% sure of the latter. Stereo / mono switches on amps, preamps, or phono stages or even external switches can be used and they work. They just don’t seem to sound quite as good as a mono cart, IMHO. Using one assures that from the cart to the speakers, the signal is purely mono. Ok…and…..I’m done! 😂 Apologies for another long comment. Thanks again! Great video. 🔊⭐️🎶💨

      I don`t think you can go wrong with any paring regarding Musical Fidelity. Maybe I would avoid overly balanced speakers, but some warm or treble rich should do the trick. But I think every type of speakers can be accommodated by this amp. I never pair Dynaudio with MF, but they are very precise and neutral speakers. So the whole presentation in synergy with this amp are going to be neutral, precise and balanced. If you like clarity, and transparency from your sound it could work. But I would pair this with maybe some Sonus Fabers, some Polks or maybe Q Acoustics. But certainly Lumina 2, and Sonneto 2 are amazing synergy. And how could I forgot, a Wharfedale could also work well,

      @@woodplay13 It is not that simple. you can listen all kind of system synergys, depending from your tolerance, pairing, room properties etc. Usually in my opinion neutral system is mot easily to listen. As it does not lean in part of dynamic scale. Second is warm combination, but in some cases if it is too warm, bass knows to punish the room easily and sound becomes vailed and sometimes unpleasant. Bright systems, or treble rich systems, are the most common instigators of fatigue as large amount of details, can overwhelm your brain. Now properly combined they can be awesome rhtmyics and clean presentation, which to be honest are not for super long listening seasons. If you want warmer sound, which will work great with dynaudio, than CA is your choice. I have not listened to CA81Mk2, but I had a lot of experience with mk1. And it has this nice warm sound, and if you prefere that than you choice is easy. But try to listen this somewhere in some demo rooms.

    The M3si has enough connections in my book, who wan't Bluetooth, sounds rubbish. It has phono input, pre out, line out, 3 std inputs and a switched input that can be STD or used in HT mode to connect to an AV Amp so the AV Amp can control the volume of your front speakers, it also has USB type B input, thing is most people have a DAC so USB is not needed and the Phono input can be bettered by any £300 plus Phono amp, and that's how I run mine. As for the performance, I listened to other top rated amps and as you say, this is the most rounded sound of them all with good detail retrieval and very good bass control.

Would I lose the digital optical connection to the TV, which is my intention, because I suppose that the p3 is connected first by RCA and from there it would have to go to the mc351 and then to the speakers, right? Would it be worth it? I would appreciate your advice, it would be very kind.

      That is a bit of a hard question, as mc351 have it`s own preamp, which means that sound it self is build aroudn that preamp in that integrated amplifier. As I have not heard the 351, and don`t know how will be the synergy with P3. But in general, but I can not guarantee, there should be a improvement with separate pre amp almost awalys. Yes there should be preamp > mc351 > Speakers, butI don`t understand why would you loose optical connection to the TV if you connect preamp to 351. I was trying to find some resources online, about people combining this two, but i could not find. Sorry for this not being the straight answer you where hoping for.
