It's okay to take a breather sometimes. I'm a hobbiest bp breeder, I decided to put some of the pairing on hold this season and selected my puzzle clown pairing. It's tough, the economy is bad and the 1st thing people do is cut cost is thier hobby.

Hi John, thank you for sharing your journey with us. I’ve been enjoying your content over the last few years and it’s been helpful to see your business strategies and amazing creations. My son and ai got into the hobby 5 years ago and can relate to the ups and downs of the journey. We trade as New Forest Morphs and we have our own RUclips channel. We tried putting out two videos a day unedited so we show complete transparency too. I have been in business for 30 years as a Chartered Accountant and my son and I are working two businesses together. You have an amazing foundation laid and I believe if you stay with it Izzy style quality production with less work you will make it. I would recommend keeping the It business going on the side parallel to the snake business. That way you are spreading your risk. The markets will bounce back as we recover from Covid debts and interest rates and inflation fall. There will be more disposal income and more cash for snakes about. Taking time out is a good move to refresh and refocus. Life really is about striking the right balance. You are blessed to have a lovely family. Together you can get through these challenges and come out stronger for it. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I’m on messenger. I went through a rough spot before turning 40 as well. A lot of ‘should’ves’ and ‘could’ves’ in there. Nothing to be done about them now. “We have two lives... the life we learn with and the life we live after that. Suffering is what brings us towards happiness.”

Love the channel. I know how you feel. In the past few years I've lost an aunt, two uncles, both grandparents, my Dad, and my son became a quadriplegic. And now my kids stepdad has leukemia. I don't know your beliefs, but my faith in Christ is the only reason I am alive and still fairly sane lol. God will give you peace if you ask him for it. His love and promise of salvation gives me strength in these times. We actually buried my Grandpa this afternoon, and God was with us. You'll be in my prayers. May Almighty God bless and guide you and give you the strength you need.

My friend and I are just getting started breeding snakes. Pairings but no eggs yet. We have 15 but they are not in tubs but temperature/humility controlled tanks in a room. Getting more babies last year was a mistake, we just got excited and got a few more at the time. There are too many to take care of in addition to future babies as well as lack of space. Cost of rats has gone up we don’t breed rats, I understand feeling like putting to many projects on the plate. Selling 5 soon and Focusing on the 10 breeding ready snakes. Wish you success and i hope the snake industry picks up in the future and I feel it will. Do it for love of the animal more then the money but at the same time if you do this full time you have to make a living

This is a tough one. This video hits hard for me. Going through a lot of similar things. Not so sure I will be going to a show to even look. It would be to painful. All we can do is plow forward and hope things get better. Hang in there. Look forward to videos in the future.

If we would just stick to the genes and not all the names, everything would be better. Marcus Jane is a higher quality color bred line. Even the Marcus Jane quality can be watered down through breeding. If we would all breed quality over quantity, then everything would be good. But to this, people raise what they think is beautiful to them! And even though I totally understand what you are saying, people who don’t have the money to invest in the mj line go for other lines of axanthic, which are easier to acquire. Times are tough and it’s a buyers market right now. Which is why people are probably giving u grief over your prices. If u have the space and the money to sit on your line of axanthic then don’t worry about what other people say or do. Breeders know what the MJ LINE IS! And the quality of it. But I will say if I want to call my snake a christopher, or a lightning pied, then I, or anyone else has that right. Unless u trade mark the name, then u can talk all u want, but people will do what they do.

I remember the first time i got my little girl i used to be scared but allways wanted snake after few weeks i manage to handel her no problem i think for me thw biggest deal was i watched to many movies with snake attacking but once i got her relised how docile those snake are honestly couldnt recommend more

The lightning pied is my dream snake. I have 2 pieds that are both het for MJ axanthic. The female is slow growing but the male is already 917 grams. This is the only line that I'm interested in due to holding its color the best. Fingers crossed that I will produce great odds. BTW...thank you for clarifing MJ lightning is NOT the same as the others. I'm in Canada and VPI is still being passed off as Lightnings to those who do not know the difference. Both of mine are from good breeders, Mutation Creation and Kinova. I prefer buying from reputable breeders even though it's a bit more costly. I attend all of our reptile shows in Toronto and often see Markus Jane there representing themselves. Thank you for another great video.
