I am usually sceptical with these videos, as what usually happens is that drummers get songs in their own style, and even if the end result is flat or overplayed the people section tends to flood the comment section with the holy trinity of virtue signalling (so brave, so inspiring, so beautiful). And while the style of the song definitely aligns with Clark, I found this particular performance outstanding. He was able to fit complex grooves to the track perfectly without making them boring or too complex or "rudiment-like" and it felt that he tried to serve the music, rather than trying to show his entire skill set. It felt really dynamic and clean as well, while remaining solid. It was refreshing to see a drummer trying to understand the song and play with it not over it.
