This is absolutely beautiful! Can you tell us what lens you've used?
Thank you! I mostly used a vintage Nikon 85mm f/1.8 and a Minolta 58mm f/1.2
I really want to get in contact, could you please drop your Instagram or a way to reach you in response to this comment? You are such a huge inspiration to me and I'd love to talk. Thank you for being amazing.

Amazing, stunningly beautiful in its simplicity. The ambulance in the end is heartbreaking. Well done

A very moving film. The cinematography and script are perfect together. Thank you for sharing.
Love the cinematography. Great mood piece!
Just wonderful! The cinematography, acting, writing everything! Reminded me a bit of the work of Bi Gan
Thank you so much, that’s very high praise indeed!
What a breath of fresh air - very nicely made and FP footage looked great. Thank you for sharing!

That was amazing. A proper use of the word "film". And I say that because it made me feel something.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
🔥
What lens did you use? This was beautiful.
Thank you! I used a few lenses but the main two were the Minolta 58mm f/1.2 and the Nikkor H 85mm f/1.8
Wow
Amazing as usual! <3 Is this 3:2 aspect ratio 1.5:1 ? What is the 4K resolutin for this! Many Thanks! Keep up, the great work!
Thank you! Yes it’s very close to that aspect ratio, I think the actual resolution came out to 3840 x 2304
@@paperlantern9163 5:3 :)
Marvelous cinematic storytelling❤
Thank you for the kind words!
This was wonderful
Thank you!

Masterpiece. Where are you based? Which city is this?
Thank you! This was was filmed almost entirely in San Francisco
@@paperlantern9163Cool! I’m based in Los Angeles. Maybe we could collaborate in the near future.
@@AmericanGreatness Yeah for sure! If you’re ever up in sf let me know 👍
Beautiful work😃
Thank you!
I love filmmakers who actually make films! Fantastic!
Thank you!
Very nice!!
Those compositions are beautiful, very talented you are! What apertures are you shooting at, those scenes with the city in the far background but not completely blurred out? An amateur like me would probably blur it out completely, but those shots in the video are the best.
Thank you very much! For the city shots I was actually wide open at f/1.2 with the Minolta 58mm, I just had the actress stand a bit farther from the camera in order to get that look! Don’t worry though I was tempted to blur everything out too haha
Haha great! Thanks for the insight. Keep creating, hope to see more from you.
If you had to choose, this camera or blackmagic 4k?
I’d probably go for the fp.. it definitely has a lot of quirks, but there’s something special about the images you get from the sensor.. I also appreciate the flexibility you get with it being full frame, AND if you’re like me and primarily use vintage 35mm film lenses the fp is kind of perfect It’s also sooo compact and an infinitely better camera for taking stills too.. Having said that you really can’t go wrong with the bmpcc 4k, it’s a great cinema camera for the price and has a lovely image too!
What kind of gear did you need for this (other than the fp?)? This incredible!!!
Thank you!! I tried to keep the set up minimal but I used a monopod for the city shots and a cheap-ish fluid head tripod for everything else As far as lenses are concerned I used the sigma 45mm f/2.8 and a bunch of vintage lenses.. (mostly the Minolta 58mm f/1.2 and the Nikkor H 85mm f/1.8)
damn this is phenomenal dude@@paperlantern9163
My goodness. I’m shook. Stunning piece of art.
Thank you for the kind words!
This is amazing! What is your exposure philosophy for this camera? Is the dynamic range good enough?
Thank you! Honestly I never had much of an exposure philosophy for the fp, (a bit irresponsible I know) but that’s only because the dynamic range really is quite good *Generally* speaking though I’d recommend overexposing by a stop or two for most shots, it’ll look like the highlights are blown out but once you get the footage into resolve it becomes very flexible
Has the dynamic range ever felt limiting on this camera? On the Cined tests it does seem to have a little less than other cameras in this price range.
this is everything. you are so good; i aspire to be like you. 🥲
Thank you so much!! I honestly believe you (or most people for that matter) can make a short like this or something better, you just gotta get out there and create 😁
@@paperlantern9163 i appreciate it. one day i'll make you proud, haha! cheers
