i find mantis engineering ability very useful to help com build
tactical radar placement in a mid back pond be interesting, its weird that sonar works anywhere regardless of the source.
happy with the tempest build usage, from building engies to reclaim, to building extra tempest, to even do a land staging on the enemy line. even saw some other ships being built, probably was subs.

jesus how lame those gap games have become, t3 arty rush on min 20 and then t4 ender rush, the whole game is about who builds that one single building first some players with 1500+ rate still don't know how to build and support shields nuke being shot in absolutely random useless place, he didn't even try to calculate antinuke being ready chance on the main enemy base yellow could've build 7 nuke subs to surprise the enemy, if he went for naval play, instead just spammed tempests with no real chance to break through MEEEEH

That is good to know. And with a paragon you can build a lot more stuff at the same time as well.
Hopelite is Greek, Legionare is Roman. Rome fought with short swords and large shields, Greeks fought with large pikes. (Rome fought alot of different ways but is know for its legions).

when isma died the northern team shouldn't have given his base to afk. leaving half of the map only to your lowest rated teamplayer is not good teamwork I'd say. Instead Mav could've given half his base to Legendlore and focused on the left side while inhereting Ismas base. Even at 33 Minutes I was still waiting for Mav to give all what is on the right side to Legendlore but he kept it and had to focus on two sides
Having to split your focus is going to drain you fast of APM and further down the Supcom brain rabbit hole.
19:57 capture is super strong on com drops, you can literally capture enemy t1 pds faster than they are being built

Fair point. I think the flares must have tractor beams to draw the missiles in. The other TMD just shoot them down.

I could not say if it was on purpose or not but it did happen.
The Scathis is such a wildcard because it will not consistently break shields, but sometimes the shot dispersion is such that the right shield - usually the outer ones on a shield ring - get broken and complimentary arty/nuke/bombers/exp can snipe shield gens or pgens to expose more of a fortified position. It's only once every few games that Scathis RNG creates a spread that cracks shields and punishes the exposed position. It's good to see (even though mavor is better), as it proves the usefulness of a watering cannon XD
So true. That is why I do not like it. Its unreliability and inability to focus on a single target makes it such a pain to use. Its better at being the focus of enemy arty and nuke fire than actually firing its watering can.

overcharge worthless now, just like ground fire on navy, faf devs fucked the game up
I have seen overcharge be useful, but you need a lot of e-storage to get it to really pump out damage.

Bottom team needed to spam sams and MAA like no tommorow once the Scathis finished, and maybe even groundfire the cloud of ASF with the Scathis. If they survived or postponed the air attack I think they would have won.
there is no way you are surviving 3 donuts with sams bro, they gonna at least fall on smd with nuke incoming right after it was gg for them either way
@@likeAG6likeAG6 They don't have nuke, and sams and MAA demolish donuts if you build them out far enough, especially since they were stacked and taking AOE. I checked the replay, Bottom team had 2 mins between scathis completion and the attack, and 40k mass in the bank. They had more asf but didn't go straight for the Czars and had bad micro. Even with them only building sams at the very last minute and bad airplay, (and naSimka not pulling back his maa to defend) they still took out two of the Czars. If Lime's ACU survives it doesn't matter if the Scathis dies since now bottom team has 300k reclaim on their side and top team's airbase is half gone.
True. After the first assassination red team should have realized that the other team was just going to go after the ACU / Scathis, so they should have built more AA like you said.

17:49 White Owl is very low on HP due to their engagement and as you can see he gets finished off with t1 bombers. Just as you zoom in to look at ctrl-k shields you miss the snipe.

just for your info the flak under the shileds are modeled as projectiles so it impacts the shields from below causing them to be taken out.

to be honest team 2 almost threw that away by not spamming shields and assisting mavor enough, you also have to assist 1 shield with most of bp against mavor, they got very lucky with that finishing shot team 1 just played bad overall after first 15 minutes, they've built para only because team 2 for some reason split mass between useless scatis and mavor, like you have nuke what do you need scatis for, just snipe smd with mavor and send nukes, I don't get this 2k guy
There were definitely some "interesting" plays this game. Anytime someone builds a scathis I think of at least 3 different things they could build instead or do with that build power instead.

strange how they hyperfocused on t4 subs for some reason, a few tempests could've dealt with them with ease, even just regular battleships when you see 5 t4 subs stacked and think "yeah, that's -50k hp with one tempest shot" but there are non imo team 1 could've at least prolonged the game by switching to battleships

Supcom brain does not help with thinking outside the box, but that would have been a good counter with its huge aoe shot. And there definitely were not enough nukes.

Hard to watch new the end. Blue had the land army to win but kept backing off for some reason. He could have easily won land and pushed into base. Just needed more scouting and focused arty might have helped

36:44 would it be smarter teleporting in two steps? One large distance close to the island ... the second short distance and fast teleport to the island. So there would be less time to built the PD.
