I just want to share my problems with you :)
Upgrading Roland JC-40 Speakers: Lorantz 10-Inch Ceramic 75W
The Roland JC-40 is a popular guitar amplifier known for its clean, warm sound. It is often used for jazz, blues, and country music.
I found I have an issue with speaker breakup, there still is speaker break up with the lorantz but it's at might higher levels and the breakup is alot nicer, all the breakup you hear is from the speakers not from clipping, this was extremely loud, it's hard to get across how loud these was, I also think there is some kind of breakup with the actual amp itself when pushed even when set to clean, I'll have to plug in much bigger speakers and test that out.

For me, the holy grail would be a JC-40 with a bigger chassis and 12” speakers. (Or waiting for Roland to make a frickin true stereo JC-120)
Hm, I might have to swap the speakers in mine afterall. I always wondered how much of a difference it would make.

had a Jc - 22, distortion was imposible. Very beautiful clean and stereo chorus though, i guessed it was one or the other. Think that amp would be nice in a wet/dry setup with two amps. Yours sound a lot nicer with the change of speakers, made me think if i should have changed the speakers instead of selling it...
I think I made a pretty bad video, and didnt explain what was going on, I had the amp over 5 the whole time because I was looking at the speakers distortion, the amp wasn't distorting it was just the speakers, I was hoping there would be less distortion with high quality and higher rated speakers these wasn't the case, the lorantz speakers distortion is more musical (warmer), I think the first part the distortion from the original speakers was bleeding into the lorantz mic. To add to his the lorantz speakers is heaps more efficient that the original, so to get to gig levels I don't think there would be any distortion at that stage of pushing the speaker
I'm thinking to buy a JC 22, but I use a vox style preamp, do you think it would sound ok through the fx loop? So I'll be able to use my rat distortion skipping all the JC preamp section. I want to use it for the cleans, but if I can use it with a distortion pedal it would be great
I can't decide between this and Mosky Silver Horse. Any advice from somebody who tested both?

Just pulled the trigger on the GLADIATOR DOUBLE PREAMP and the Duel Gun II, snagged both for a crazy low price of $127 on eBay, with free 2-day Priority shipping thrown in like a bone to a rabid dog. I'll be honest-I bought the Duel Gun II on a whim, never even heard the damn thing. But hell, it looked like the kind of gear you'd see strapped to the waist of a maniac, so why not? After hearing your demo, I realize what kind of bargain I stumbled into. You're cranking out demos that probably have these things flying off the shelves. You've got serious chops, my friend!
@@danitempest hey thanks heaps, they truly are great pedals, i had to move my studio and haven't had the chance to make new videos, hopefully I can get back into it soon, I got all my ones from AliExpress, I'm in Australia so the shipping is pretty reasonable and I have had pretty good experience with returning items,. It's normally a lot cheaper then eBay, shipping is the big cost sometimes
@@gearhoarders8823 Awesome! I'll check out your new videos for sure. Today I'm getting the Black Hole Symmetry pedal in that i ordered from Reverb last week. It's the limited edition mirror finish so should look nice with the two DemonFx pedals. That will be my delay/fuzz pedal and should complete my sound. Have you had any experience with it?
@@danitempest that pedal you're getting looks super cool, I love playing around with that kind of stuff, at the moment Im back to a very basic setup, tube screamer into a holy grail and into a tube amp, at home I have actually just been playing a very old Maton acoustic to come up with songs, but I just sold it so I'm a bit lost now, it's a crazy story as to why I sold it

I think trying different cap values might be better. It seems like with the ones selected it can go unusably slow and not fast enough on the other end of the dial.
You can add a switch, this mod makes it more like the boss speed

Much better method than a previous video I watched where the the modder was drilling a hole and adding a physical switch to slow down the rate. So I'm loving this shortcut mod to that. I'm gonna mod mine this week according to your tutorial. Thanks!
The moment I heard "boss katana" i knew this was a joke.
It’s the most sold amp ever, so most people would under the behaviour difference using it, if I used an exotic amp and guitar then nobody could relate to it, thats why I use the katana, I could do reviews with a tube amp, I’m currently selling them all now, currently I run a digital rig with a katana or a Roland jazz chorus 40 if I got a stereo setup on stage as my monitor because carrying a 45kg tube amp around to every gig is a huge pain, now other guitarist that see me live have been doing the same

Hey Mr. Hoarder I’m watching debating about doing this with my pedal and just realized if I’m doing this, “why not rehouse this thing?”, have you done that? Is it straight forward or is there a quirk to these it’s good to know first? Thanks.
I have tried to re house this pedal…. and I killed the pedal, it’s actually cheaper to get the tc electronics version of this pedal then to rehouse this one, and the mod on the tc is even simpler because from memory it was just one capacitor to pop on, plus you get heaps of room to add other mods and switch’s, but the behringer sound better in my opinion then the tc, the case is not that bad, and they can last a long time. Side note tc pedals and actually behringer pedals that have been tweaked
Year why pay $370 when u can pay 50
This pedal gets to the metal gain range with both sides on or use it for a hot lead. I’m impressed with this pedal for the money definitely isn’t digital sounding at all through tube amps
Why would it be "digital sounding" It's 100% analog exact clone of an analog pedal
Have a KOT orriginal. Great pedal. I think I like the Mosky Silver Horse as much. No 4 year wait and a lot less $$. Analog Mike is a wizard on that circuit. This is an interesting addition. Great playing and good demo.
C'mon, man, you know that the DigiTech Distortion Factory, the Behringer Vibrato, and the Digitech Bad Monkey AREN'T J.H.S. pedals... What you MEANT to say is that you run out and buy all the pedals that J.H.S. (Or just Josh Scott) say are cool, or good... Top Notch trollin... Well, at least your clean sound was actually almost clean, lol...

You're not the first person to ask haha, it's a db meter, it was meant to show how loud I'm playing, it also has a sad face that shows up if I'm too loud and it's constantly on
got any details on that db meter mate, could do with one of them.

Is there a big difference between the JHS MG and this one? Have you maybe had a chance to test out the Tone City Blues Man?
I have a jhs morning glory, it's pretty magical, I have a copy of the double barrel and it has the mg in it, all I can say is jhs products are supreme, they react differently, on a recording you can get most pedals of the same type to sound the same, but there is a difference, if you can save up the money I would get a jhs, if you just want to try a sound get a cheaper pedal

I ordered them all from Aliexpress, I used PayPal as my payment method,from what I have been told Aliexpress also will help you out if you dont get the items, I have probably ordered over 50 pedals they have all come, can't say the same for eBay where lots of stuff has gone missing and didn't get any help

Ive had this pedal for 6 or 7 months now and love it but never know that the vol and tone knobs could be locked down, guess I should have read the manual!!
6 out of the 10 pedals on my board have become Demonfx, they are that good. ( D7k ultra, Alpha Omicron, Call76, Tape echo,Mini chorus , Harmonics booster) Im spending BUT I’m really SAVING ;)

Lol, c'mon hoss, he obviously doesn't know what a db reader is... A decibel reader is a device that people use to measure how loud the sound level is in the room...
Dont understand why people don't insert the whammy bar but use fingers to pull the bridge for vibration. Makes zero sense.
On the cheap bridges the screw hole gets broken, on my USA deluxe I keep it in because it's a pop in bar and it sits perfectly, I think there is a spring you can place in the hole so the bar doesn't slide around, but without that you need to screw it in tight and it gets in the way, if I'm playing some crazy Hendrix stuff and bombing the guitar I'll put it in, but for a small amount of vibrato it's easy to do it by hand, on my tele I bend the neck and think to myself I shouldn't do that
По видео не всё понятно. А в реальности, педаль плохо звучит. Звук очень мелкий и мутный. Что указывает на очень низкое качество элементной базы. (По сравнеению с педаляи Xotic, звук этой реплики вызывает просто, горькую усмешку!) Понятно, что это реплика более дорогой оригинальной педали. И внешне она предельно похожа. А вот звук не похож, и по качеству совершенно - негодный. Данный прибор невозможно реально применить в профессиональной деятельности. Хотя, за эти деньги , вполне есть и качественные профессиональные педали. Да, и реплики не всегда плохие. Но к сожалению, это тот случай, когда покупка данной педали - просто выброшенные деньги, увы!

@@gearhoarders8823 No. But I have a lot of MXR pedals. They are roughly comparable in price, and they sound great. I am a professional musician, and I know how normal pedals should sound. But this remark is too low-level. Below average, unfortunately.

This is the first demo I see that cranks it all the way up, using the 2 channels, and without turning it into a 10 minute blues recording, or a 45 minute masterclass about fiddling knobs from nine to noon, without even switching both sides on, and then after one hour I still don't know the pedal's full potential. Most reviews don't even utilize the pots/switches inside. There's several dipswitches as well as 2 trimpots to adjust treble. I own some Demonfx already and they are bang for the buck. I'm more of a high gain freak, but based on your video and because I can get it on a discount now, plus I also hoard gear, I'm gonna order this king thing today and am sure I'll have a lot of fun with it. No offence but you didn't even read the manual. It's four pedals: the MXR Micro Amp (in boost mode,) some version of the Distortion Plus, some version of the Overdrive Preamp (there were many, they'd pick one that sounded different from the MXR) and the YJM which is based on Yngwie's personal favourite (they changed components all the time so different individual units would sound different. The YJM has more treble and less bass than most.)
You're completely right, I should do more research on the pedals, I try and do the videos in one take and hopefully do it in the first take and haven't worked out a plan for the videos, I just hook everything up and sit, play and talk to the camera, it's shows how much work goes into the popular RUclips guitar videos, they are truly professional and I'm very unprofessional haha, my next video is about my guitars and how I set them up, I'll definitely know what I'm talking about for that one I hope haha
