Thanks for watching and weighing in mate! I totally agree, you can get QC issues with any brand. I also wish it was possible to try every guitar you could want before you buy it but with availability in local stores and how online shopping is affecting guitar buying habits it’s just not possible but that’s another conversation. My biggest issue with this guitar is that it’s Fender, *the* strat company. They shouldn’t be given free reign to pump out a huge amount of guitars with low QC because of the pandemic and not be held to a higher standard. Value you for money I have to politely disagree, Fender strats are acceptable but the value for money comes from other brands making s-types with much better features for the same price or less. I get where you’re coming from though and totally accept your opinion, I’m just of a different mindset that Fender need to do better and I liked Fender, I was a fan but I can’t help but feel they’re no longer a guitar maker and are moving more into a money making lifestyle brand. That doesn’t sit right with me personally. I appreciate you taking your time to watch and share your thoughts though mate. There needs to be more healthy discussion about this sort of stuff!

@@JackTaylorGuitars set-up & dissecting a brand new guitar are 2 completely different things for example in this case if active p'ups aren't your thing which aren't to everyone's taste then don't buy it look elsewhere The best guitarists in the business will tell you from experience if they go into a guitar store to purchase any guitar first of all it has to appeal to them acoustically then they'll go over it usually by a fine tooth comb in their head before letting loose on her👂 what they don't do is buy a guitar & think oh that's a cool looking strat I'll take that but I'll have my guitar tech do this & do that to it plus the only guitars from the internet they're getting are usually brand new from the manufacturer as in a bunch of custom shop tributes with their name & stamp on them many thx for your interest to my feedback on your featured🎸🕊 keep on a rockin'!

@@JackTaylorGuitars it has to feel right Jack a good guitarist will usually be able to spot pretty quickly if what they're holding in their hands is a good 🎸or not A lot of these smart guys keep an open mind & their eyes peeled on seeking out prized guitars some of the time via a 3rd party

Hey dude, thanks for watching, I appreciate it! Zakk had 4 models with Epiphone, 3 Les Paul’s with standard bullseye, camo, and buzzsaw like this one and a coffin shaped guitar. They were his affordable signatures. Also he’s playing an epiphone buzzsaw like this in an EMG video. Those signatures mostly had EMG-HZ passive pickups too! The problem was, the Epiphones were faked too by Chinese makers in quite large numbers. If it’s something you’re into it’s worth reading up on. Thanks again man, I appreciate it 🤘

Hey man, even with inlay stickers applied, you can clean and oil your guitar as usual. The stickers do not seal the surface, so all liquids can still pass through. When applied, the stickers can be treated like normal inlays - only steel wool should not be used under any circumstances. Would be happy if you give them a try 🤘

I think they’re perfect for a more affordable guitar, definitely. I’d absolutely put them on something more expensive if the board was a little bare and needed something but that’s unlikely I guess! Cheers for watching mate 🤘

See this explains why you’re so funny! You learnt it from the Boosh and you’re also clever which helps . I can’t choose a favourite episode but I love the episode with Charlie . His story is amazing and those guys have incredible imaginations . As a teenager and for many years when I watched the boosh I felt like everything was better .

@@JackTaylorGuitars one of my comments didn’t post ! But I’ve been playing an Ibanez Sew 761 FM It weighs around 2.3 to 2.5 kilograms which is perfect for me ! The dimarzio tone zone and dimarizio velvet are fantastic pickups! It has some amazing single coil modes as well . I like that there is a mode with both single coils and it sounds very Spanky! But also The pickups work so well for distortion , high gain and lead guitar . I like the passive pickups more than the fishman active pickups in my strandberg

@@JackTaylorGuitars Yeah, and for me personally, Gibsons LPs aren't the best choice because I'm a downtuned metal player, and the short scale length of LPs isn't helpful with that.

I mean, you could take a router to it and route a cavity to fit one but the bridge is fixed from the factory. You'd be so much better off just buying a good guitar that already has a tremolo though not just 'cause it's easier but because this isn't a good guitar. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it 🤘

I haven't really looked at them to be honest mate. I'm a little burnt out on Fender's marketing but, that said, if it's a legitimate attempt to improve on the player with an actual focus on making a guitar then I'm here for it. I'm always a little sceptical when companies release the *model* 2. Feels like a fomo marketing tactic to me. That's just my initial impression though, I can't say without trying one.
