I really enjoyed this video. So much of what makes loving movies fun is the stories we connect to them. Personal, knowledgeable, engaging. Subscribed. And I love H20, and the late 90s/post-Scream Horror boom it exemplifies. Laurie and that axe, tho!

2024 has been crazy the only reason I’m personally holding off on calling it the best yr in horror is recency bias and the fact imo I don’t think there’s been that one true big iconic movie that reps through pop culture and entertainment like other yrs may have.

*Okay level with me. Am I being delusional hoping they will "eventually" release 5 of the worst Halloween films on Steelbook or what? I got 8 of the 13 movies on Steelbook so far but I am starting to doubt we will ever get a Steelbook release for 4, 5, 6 Resurrection & that 2nd Rob Zombie abomination.*

Halloween (1978) is my favorite horror movie ever. I also love H20. I watch H20 all the time as a background movie. It moves so fast. I also love Resurrection too. "Trick or treat, mutha fucka!" XD

You're one of the few fans on RUclips that can I trust with reviewing Zack Snyder's movies. Great review! It's gonna be interesting now to see first-time viewers watch the Director's cuts and whether they see the rich mythology Zack brings to the table or go along with the trend of haters online and piggie-back on trash reviews. In the long-term I think these movies will scratch the itch for nerds to have "Star Wars made for adults" not just because of violence and sex, but also for rich mythology and intelligent philosophy interweaving religion, politics & psychology like Zack has done elsewhere such as Watchmen and BvS. Zack has taken everything he's learned from his previous films and injecting it all into Rebel Moon, and we get the benefit from it as fans.

The justice league Snyder cut was from studio overhead right? If Snyder had full control from the beginning with Netflix, why is there another Snyder cut?

You don't need a "directors cut" when you have complete creative control of a project. In the past it has happened because of various types of interference or whatever... this time it's happening because we have reached the end of the road for Snyder's 1-dimensional directing skills... and he has made this his M.O. as a gimmick

I share the same criticism you have about Part 2. Overall, The Director's Cuts are old fashion cinema at its finest. Classic movie making. I noticed that the scores of the Director's Cut's are different than the PG13 cuts as well. I enjoyed all four movies, but the Director's Cut's are complete movies.

I felt the same way about Nemesis. I wish she did more in the last battle scene because she had one of my favorite scenes on Chapter 1 when she fought the spider creature. I loved both chapters and hope they can continue to expand the universe.

Fifth Element is a banger, and these DC's are bangers as well. Loved every second of it. Everything was improved and elevated. Now I just want more. And with the teeth being knocked out: Nobel's staff is constantly being used to knockout people's teeth, so when his teeth get knockout by his own staff, it makes it more satisfying. Karma at its finest, lol.

I've only watched Part 1 of the Director's Cuts and I also think it was so much better. People keep calling it Trash, like yo, it's not Trash. There are Trash movies and there are 'Okay' movies. Sure it had flaws, but it is a Zack Snyder movie through and through. He needed better Writers, for sure. But for what he was going for it's an enjoyable movie if you allow yourself to appreciate it for what it is.

when i was growing up, i wanted so many DVDs because the packaging varied, red cases, hard steel, gloss & shimmering. i still haven’t started my library but i do have about 50 digital. basically im saying im glad someone is enjoying the same dream. just earned a subscriber!

As for RDJ, he is a very talented actor, Oscar winner for Oppenheimer, who has given us incredible performances since the 90s, Chaplin, Zodiac, The Judge, Due Date, Sherlock Holmes, and of course Iron Man. I am positive it is all great news for us fans and moviegoers. Thank you again .
