They steal Boromir's line, "What new devilry is this?"
They are chaging an actor in 2nd season
"Identify what your opponent most fears...." Not me suddenly realizing I've done the samething.
It was obvious it was halbrand . When halbrand goes to want to work at a black smith it was obvious . He wanted to make a ring like the lord of gifts would do . The Reddit people are so stupid they couldn’t pick it up
Not to mention the men he took down are numenoreans who are stronger than the men of middle-earth
Red Hering? hahaha this joke got even better over time
This is far from "every scene", there are many many others, but well done on this compilation. ROP is just a shamless ripoff of a cash grab made by talentless hacks. You know what makes it even worse: they didn't just copy the PJ movies, they even ripped off Star Wars a couple of times. The "big reveal" scene with Sauron is basically just copied from the scene in TLJ where Kylo Ren invites Rey to join him on the Dark Side: they even had the audacity to give Galadriel a slightly modified line of Rey's. When Sauron is doing that mind trick on her she says "get out of my mind" which is almost identical to Rey's "get out of my head" when Kylo uses the Force to interrogate her in The Force Awakens.
I knew when I saw a few black actors that some people would be hurt. Get over it
People have been kicked out of school for less plagiarism.
Of course they’re white and why does one look like Tighten?!
Bro, do you also run The Missing Enigma channel?
The difference between the two is night and day. One of them you can tell an amateur wrote the other you can tell a master wrote
I am a writer director in Hollywood and I am going to cast Black Panther 3 a white European man. Then we'll see the truth come out
She only has a pune face. No expression ever. Only her one trick pony pune face.
i mean i found this series as dull as the next tolkin fan, but listing obvious intentional homages designed to tie two works of fiction together like when Galadriel repeats phrases and Gandalf says a line to confirm his identity, is just needless hate, like sure some of these are clearly the writers not knowing how to be creative but some where also clearly an attempt to you know... write within the same universe. i would say their are better criticisms to make of the show than this.
Ah yes the good ol “lemme copy your homework” meme
I need to petition YT to provide a way to filter out people whining about RoP. And what you call stealing, others might call homage or callbacks/foreshadowing.
I noticed they gave most of the lines to the Walmart warrior princess. When you contrast them side by side the show looks even worse. The acting, score and filmography looks so amateurish for something with a billion dollar pricetag.
The Rings of Power series is a steaming pile of shit but a lot of these were super far fetched.
I'd love for someone to explain to me, how faux Gandalf, who has not long arrived on middle earth, has only just miraculously learned to speak perfect English, and certainly hasn't had time to flesh out a personality, is handing out little life lessons, as I he's been around for centuries! The chasm between the feelings I have towards LOTR, and the abomination that is the rings of power, is so wide, it's barely comprehensible!
and still buggered it all up in spectacularly bad fashion. The cast announcements for series 2 already look insane. Asian elves anyone? Asian dwarves anyone? Asian hobbits, Numenoreans? Take yer pick.
First you people complain about McCay and Payne reusing plot points from the Jackson trilogy. Then when they try new things, you complain about how they're disrespecting Jackson and should be making a show that's actually a prequel to his trilogy. Somebody make it make sense 🤣
They are complaining because they see others criticizing the show. A bit like sheep really. Unwilling to question what is in the video or the people criticizing the show. Heard mentality. I have had to point out that Peter Jackson used scenes from Bakshi's 1978 animated "Lord of the Rings" in his "Fellowship of the Ring" film. The Hobbits hiding from the first Nazgul and the attack at the Prancing Pony scenes.
These HACKS should be castrated for this.
By now I’ve watched more minutes of RoP sledging than I managed watching the actual show. I gave up halfway through episode 1.
The horse made my eyes roll so hard.
The horse made my eyes roll so hard.
at least @3:30 makes sense that she might say that again later in life.
For some of these I understand they included it as an echo of the movies intentionally to tie it back to LotR movies for fans, for some I'm not sure I agree, such as the moving in the snow, or the destruction of the ring/blade but for the others.... What was that? The horse scene was TOO similar, why? Just why do that? They actually copied a plot point, almost word for word... Wow.
Apparently all you need to do for a "successful" YT channel is bitch about Amazon series.
One was made with passion the other was made as a cash grab
So thanks to ROP now it's cannon that Galadriel's best line from LOTR came from Sauron. Thanks.
I was waiting for someone to make this compilation. This kind of fluff makes the new series unwatchable.
So they made a show, set in the second age, all about the silmarillion, and they don't even have those rights? Surely that's like illegal
They look like a couple of grifters.
Getting caught cheating and stealing, scene after scene.. And to think.. I got scolded in English class, just for using double-spaced lines to bulk up my type-written pages. I'd never had graduated High School with hackery like this.
Peter Jackson took scenes from Bakshi's 1978 animated "Lord of the Rings" for his "Fellowship of the Rings" film. Copied it directly. The Scene where the hobbits are hiding from the Nazgul is not in the book but Jackson copied it from Bakshi's film. The scene where the Nazgul attack and trash the hobbit's room at the Prancing Pony is not in the book. But Jackson took that scene from Bakshi's film. I still like Peter Jackson films. Just like I like Bakshi's film. Just like I like "Rings of Power."
It's quality, not quantity my friend 🤣
God it’s like someone opened a dumpster with a body inside and said “ah the miracle of birth” But the best quote that perfectly sums up this atrocity “evil cannot create, only destroy and disfigure”
I never made it so far with ROP but I'm glad I didn't.
6:19 ...was he...negotiating...with a horse?
There were SO MANY of these throughout the series, and I cringed every single time! They actually made the series even worse, because they are clearly trying to evoke some sense of nostalgia or positive emotion, but they fail. None of these knock-off scenes were even close in impact or meaning to the trilogy.
Rings of power looks like one of those "AI art" trying to make an entire new LotR movie based on a few pages from the books.
For me is unbelievable that some one from Amazon gave approval for shit from manuscript and spend almost billion dollars for 8 episodes.
This man sounds like the narrator\investigator that looks at missing persons cases on another channel
Not even an original interpretation of Tolkien's work. Not surprised at all.
Damn. The ROP scenes look like a children's play in comparison. They're SO BAD. Even though they're coppying the scenes exactly they're STILL BAD. It's crazy.
20 plus years later from the og being made, and yet this new show all these years later, literally billions laid down, but it looks like crap, terrible actors, bad make up and costumes, sets are poor, fight scenes woeful. But add absolute insult to injury, the story and script. Just utterly dreadful. But to rub salt in wounds, they stole (badly paraphrased with poor context) most of the words from the og trilogy as well as some other films. Almost word for word. Including the scene from young guns 2 with the horse. Woooowww! Jeff, you sir got ripped off biggg time. Even more than we the fans did. Unbelievable.
this is not a TV show this is a fanfiction
Ah so they’re not just idiots. They’re thieves as well
THE FUCKING WORDING. Like how lazy the goddamn writing is for RoP it's like a damn Highschool paper written in modern tongue. The original trilogy is written IN ITS AGE
hits crossguard with a hammer...breaks the wooden handle.. "its beyond our skill to destroy" probably cause your the daftest elf thats ever been shown on screen.
