FRUIT CUSTARD Recipe - Homemade Custard Recipe (Pastry Cream)
A direct descendant of the Spanish crema Catalana, is a rich, creamy egg custard made without the crispy sugar topping. It's sweet, thick, comforting, and perfect for entertaining because it can be prepared ahead.
This silky, luscious and very classic custard can be used as the base for any ice cream, pastry flavor you can dream up. These particular proportions of milk and cream to egg yolk will give you a thick but not sticky dessert that is amazing!!!
Ingredients:
Custard cream or Mousseline cream
500 grams - milk;
lemon peel, vanilla and cinnamon;
4 Yolks;
100 g Sugar;
30 g Cornstarch;
150 g softened butter
150 ml - Heavy Cream;
30 g - Powered Sugar;
1 orange;
banana, cherry and mint
