Not necessarily. Your alignment will shift towards law, meaning that you'll only get to fight one of the Phantoms, but you can still revert it to neutral or even chaos.

Because he is the one you see after you do a neutral ending route, he is essentially, the neutral god representative of the original game since he's the last one you see before the credits. Not unlike Lucifer for Chaos and Michael for Law.

Dude, it does not, in fact, its the same as neutral, but you can make your allies to see their wrongs, the thing is that neutral is hard as f--k to get, so its justified to be a better route, and on the other routes you cant given they are too much extreme to have it, in fact, you kind of have the Heroine and Chaos hero with you

@@CarlosSilva-bh4bi You must have only played SMT4, because that is the ONLY game Neutral is hard to get. Every other game you get Neutral by choosing "I want to go Neutral" in the dialogue options and then fighting 20 bosses instead of only 18 bosses. It's not any harder to get than Law or Chaos. As for SMT1 specifically, I am still going to say redeeming Law Hero and Chaos Hero kinda misses the point of their storylines. If you look at their dialogue through the game, it's obvious they do NOT like each other and barely tolerate a neutral Protagonist. Law Hero is focused on his quest to save his girlfriend first and foremost, and doesn't care about the Heroine. Chaos Hero wants to kill bullies and hates everyone else for telling him to chill out. They are both out for one thing: the power to enact their vision of justice, and they make it very clear they will bring Neutral into that vision of justice by force. Neutral, in turn, is not at all a peaceful option and wants both Law and Chaos to die. Neutral is just as much a might makes right mentality as the others. SMT1 is not a game about saving the world, because you can't. It's a game about destroying the evil that doomed the old world so it can't infect the next world. Law, Chaos, and Neutral are all in this same cycle. The only difference is: whatever side you don't choose is retroactively evil (you can see this in the SMT1 Law ending where YHVH was always a good guy and following him was totally correct this whole time) And that is actually why I respect this new fanmade ending anyway. Whoever it was who made this game (i'll call him Mr. VX) took his power to heart and used it for all it was worth. HE creates this world, EH decides what is good and what evil needs to be left behind. If Mr. VX decides that redemption really is possible and you should strive for it no matter what, then this is HIS time to prove that, and HIS game to show that paying off. More power to him for pulling it off

You make your allies turned enemies see the reason, the why they made it this far and how they managed to get this far thanks to your strength. I finished SMT1 on the PS1 Neutral was hard as fuck to do, I had to think very carefully what the fuck I was going to do, like, I tought I was on Law accidentally, and then I just got into the realization I killed both with the *OPPOSITE ALIGNMENT SOMEHOW* so I successfully failed my task and got the neutral ending, yet, I just got luck out of no where And Let me tell you, Vanilla neutral is bad, you not only get actual dialogue from the characters, but the reps are stupid as duck, like, one will kill anyone for nothing even if like 50% of those who follow both sides are scared and dont want to go to extremes and the Chaos idiot literally used me 99% of the prologue and midgame, plus he STOLE MY DEMON he did not even got demon shit if not for Kazuya So the fact that you can make them see their shit by force has a meaning The Chaos idiot notices he acted like a rabid animal when you let him kill Ozawa and the Law dumbass notes the freaking contradiction of his "Mercy" Also, the final dungeons are copy pastes without any kind of interaction exept for boss dialogue and not actual choices And the fact that things get grey and you actually kill everything for full demon neutralization its great Like, damn, I hated the fact that both reps got hipocritically balistic when I literally said shit And also you kill both sides and leave internal couters so they have it harder to come back, which is nice

Whenever I see that, it's awful for someone as young as Kazuya. He, his friends and common people never asked to be in that situation. When I think of that, I always imagine the timeline of if (Tamaki), Devil Summoner and Persona was created by a Kazuya well traumatized by the events of his game before being turned into a stone statue by the Messians.

I personally found it easier. Having 4 human characters that can equip anti-nerve equipment really helps with this fight, and the Law Hero comes with his special skill Messiah Riser to remove the Bound status on your demons. It is true that the overlord path gives you way more exp because you also fight Metatron and Lucifer so you can hit lvl 99 before this fight, but not being able to prevent your party from being bound sucks.

It reuses PSX SMT 1, 2 and if... tracks.

I capped my luck stat at the beginning, drastically increasing the drops for the rest of the game. It's actually a very effective strategy considering you'll spend grinding and if you get some gems along the way, you can trade them for incense at Rag's.

​​​@@callmezeldaonemoartime I played the PSX version and had it on the minimal, there were a 75% of my choices on conversations getting wrong, and my drop rate was ridiculously low, like, it was weird After TDL, I used all my inciences on Kazuya and he got like on 20-25 luck, believe me, it made a good difference with demons identifying me all the time

I would have bought better equipment for the MC and the Heroine at Shinagawa. The dragon equipment in general is a really good option.

@@iwannaseehowlongyoucanmakethis that's right. In order to get Masakado's blessing you need to be neutral for the entire game. That means fighting both Gotou and Thor, both Alignment Phantoms and rejecting Yama's proposal (hence being locked in Ikebukuro and fighting Niou when trying to escape). As you can see, it takes waaaay more time than it actually saves by using that armour.

Not at all! At the beginning, I dump all 18 points into speed for the MC, as it is a crucial stat in order to escape from as many random battles as possible. Additionally, it increases the chances of surprise attacks, even in bosses, which is also important since turn 1 actions are the most important in a battle. Of course, being able to attack before the enemy does it is also relevant! As for the Chaos Hero, he needs to learn estoma ASAP and the only way to learn that spell earlier is to increase his magic proficiency, an invisible stat that is increased with higher levels and higher magic stat mainly. Continously increasing his magic with every level up allows the player to have an early access to estoma, which is extremely relevant for the speedrun. Also, having an absurd damage output with his fire spells and hama beads is important as well. You need to buy repulse bells at the casino after beating parasite. They cost 50 coins each, which means you'll need around 5k macca to buy them to do the skip (get around 10 bells) If you use them, they prevent low level demons from spawning for 1 moon cycle. The main gimmick in Sloth is that the students will dig one room once a moon cycle has passed, so you just need to use the bells and walk around until the students finish digging the cave. Remember that you needn't to fight the boss in order to obtain the ring, so you can just move on to the next domain.
