It's so interesting this conversation. I love Arundhati's response more than the Questions posed. The responses are layered, with so many shades of humanness accounted for rather than black or white or oversimplification of complex questions. Perhaps, Parvathy must've learned more than asked. i feel i learned much from this conversation, for ex. how to think/what to ask/what kind of questions to be thought about or worth my time/etc. Purity Vs. Solidarity. Perfect resolution Vs. Pragmatic resolution. The purity of idealism reminds me of dogmatism, cliched something, and superficial, convenient Sambhar that doesn't work for everyone. Puritanism is dangerous and self-righteous, and one can't/shouldn't stay with the internal CONFLICT, shows there is confusion, so the BLACK and WHITE-dness of things is a more soothing/convenient approach to addressing this internal conflict, i.e. just soothing, not resolving it. That's a chaotic mind, not helpful for whatever activism/service we are set to do.
