Hiking the unfinished road next to our house. A quick hike looking for a stealth camp location.
Просмотров 105Год назад
A short hike with my wife down the unfinished road that runs past our house. I was hoping to find a decent stealth camp location for an upcoming video but, the trails were just too muddy to finish. I'll try again later this week. This is just a short filler video to get something new up while I work on 2 new pack videos. Stay tuned!

The BEST EDC Sling Bag I've owned! NutSac Tactical Black Sling Bag Review! Check out my Nutsac!

This is the NutSac Sling in tactical black. It's easily the best bag that I own now. I have been through bags from Maxpedition, 5.11, Vanquest, etc. and none of them compare to this bag. I've even retired my 5.11 Moab 6 for this sling and I love that bag. The NutSac sling holds everything I need on a daily basis without overpacking like I seemed to do with my other packs. OMG, you don't want to actually try and use the Fire Starter because of the knot?? Don't you think that people that searched for a review on a survival kit want to you actually use it? Listing the parts is not actually reviewing it. I'm so disappointed in the lack of effort, I don't want to be mean, I just want to give you some feedback on how disappointing it is to watch a review that doesn't actually use the items.

  • @j7v7a2
    @j7v7a2 5 дней назад

    I would have liked to have seen you actually use the tactical pen. Are the refills inexpensive? Does the glass breaker work well ? Maybe it's garbage and we will never know until someone on RUclips takes the time to post a review of the item in use.

    I would have liked to have seen the paracord in use. Most bracelets don't make it easy to deploy.

    I like your fire kits but for a get home bag, i don’t think you need so much. In all likelihood you won’t make a fire, the point is to get home and not bring attention to your person. Add more food, water and first aid supplies.

    Please don't shine the head lamp at the camera it is TOTALLY unnecessary. It blinds the viewer watching in bed, and even more it is foolish as literally everyone knows what it is and how a flashlight works. I like your kit but why with the headlamp blinding me?????

    Like your video, though I came up with different conclusions. I got three of these kits from eBay for about 8 bucks each. First thought: rubbish. So I attached the microlights to the zippers of my hiking vest. Next, I put the whistles on the straps of my get-home backpack, bottle holders, and carabiners to free up internal space. Flashlights lasted for less than ten times of (short) use, so ditch them. Keep the saw, just remember to always keep the wire straight when you use it. Fire rods are the best items, but they vary in quality. Don't think of the pen as a kubotan, think of it as a less breakable pen. And, replace the bracelet with some ready-to-use paracord (you already have a fire rod and a whistle!).

    I feel a pistol is an absolute must. If you are in a situation where you have to walk home and can't even make it to your house first, something really bad had happened and history shows us people panic when something really bad happens.

    I have the Plan B and C and i prefer the C . I found sling bags are easy to overload and can get uncomfortable quick. Took a Vanquest Javelin to disney and still regret it. Also due to the capacity its more an EDC/ Get home bag vs bug out . I use it the Plan C for day hikes sometimes and pair it up with Ribz front pack .

      @NEP_Chris 4 месяца назад

      Actually, that bag had several things for shelter including large trash bags, and S O L emergency blanket, a Mylar blanket, and a rain poncho. If you can’t improvise a shelter out of those things that I don’t know what to tell you. As for self-defense, not everyone needs to carry a firearm. Bottom line, this video is close to three years old. The contents of my get home bag have changed a lot since then. This bag had far too much stuff in it. And, it was literally made to get me less than 50 miles in case of a breakdown or weather emergency. It wasn’t made for any other kind of emergency.

    I just lived and "SURVIVED" yet another hurricane here on the Gulf Coast of Texas. Im sitting here thinking of all the things we needed to make it through the storm and then the days later of not having any electricity and therefore no running water. Funny thing.....most of what you have in that can....I never needed. The bug spray, yeah. Oh yes! Could you perhaps explain a situation where the elements of your survival system would be used?

    It's always better to make your own survival and bugout kits. Customize it to your needs and buy items that won't break the first time you use them. Med kit definitely needs wound cleaner solution and antibiotic ointment. It could also include a stitching kit. A couple of totes full of items like food, personal hygiene items, TP etc. Be truly prepared.

    I was laid up with cancer and all my gear was on the other side of the state. I could not get a knife shipped to Boston (behind enemy lines). I needed a knife, so I ordered the kit and an EDC sling pouch, just so I’d have something to occupy my time. You’re right, the price of the kit was well worth the knife. I kept the knife, the light (it’s decent), the brass compass, (I noticed you didn’t get one), the survival bracelet (mine worked) and the pen (who doesn’t need a pen?). Oh and I kept the spork combo (it’s useful). I tossed most of the rest and kept a few things to build starter kits for friends.
