I love a good edc/tin break down. My only qualm would be thread the needle and put it in the same straw as the thread and maybe use some other straws to put antiseptic ointment. Big love, Wales 🏴 uk
It's remarkable how much useful stuff can be packed into a such a tiny, yet eminently pocketable, container. Looks like your kit just about maxed it out. Very nice job.
Thanks for the nice video! My thoughts: add a money note, produce bag for water, a photograph of your beloved ones as a morale booster, a micro fire steel harvested from Victorinox' fire ant, a caffeine tablet, button battery + LED. Sacrifice the flashlight, 3 matches, 1-2 safety pins, 2 plasters & the mirror if necessary to make space. This is so much fun! Thanks.
You could wrap multiple turns of electrical tape around the tin without adding bulk or weight. This would give you more material for repairs or to be used as tinder. You could also fit a small fish hook.
I actually had about 4 pieces of gorilla tape on the bottom that I forgot all about when I filmed the video. A fishing hook would be a good idea IF I had any fishing skills at all lol. I’m a horrible fisherman 😂. Thanks for watching!
How about a plastic sandwich bag (or snack bag which is even smaller). You could roll it tight and twist a bread tie around it. It can be used as something to catch water in for drinking. Or put the whole kit in it to keep it dry. Still can be used as a water container.
Great kit and video. Those Smalls tins are great for specific kits too like a fire kit or fishing kit. I love building different kits for different containers. A ranger band works perfect for holding these closed too and are multi use as well. Thanks for the great video!
Very smart, really well thought out for your environment as well as what will fit and what you will get in use. The Altoid fall Tin is a true challenge and I think you have done an excellent job with it. Thank you for the very good ideas and suggestions.
Love putting kits like this together…your version is awesome! Well done sir! I greatly respect what you said about your family being your number one priority! I agree 100%! As for suggestions to add to the kit, I would add a Wazoo emergency water bag. They are one liter each and rated to 400 degrees, so you can boil water right in the bag! Check Wazoo out…great company and people! They even have a micro fishing kit that will fit in the tin! Also, as someone else suggested, I would replace that cheap knife with a SAK Classic. It has a tweezer that works very well and makes room for other gear in the kit. Also, i would replace the toothpick in the SAK with a Tortoise Gear “Firefly” small ferro rod. Works great! That’s about all so far. Thanks for posting and I’ll look forward to your next video!
You were able to include some very real survival tools to make fire, make safe drinking water, signal for help, and possibly catch fish. Add some foraging and a lean-to made from evergreen branches and deadfall, a cave, or an abandoned building and you can survive.
I just watched it again - such an amazing kit! This time I realized that the Kevlar line can be used as a saw to cut wood for fire and shelter, and fishing. I wonder if you could also add the zipper pulls from Grim workshop that have arrowheads and fishing/frog jigs. They’re very small. And the Tortoise gear firefly Ferro rods for Swiss Army Knives would fit here and would be a more long-term fire starting solution. Then you’d really just need to forage for a bottle for water and a tin or aluminum can for cooking.
Actually, I tried a razor on top of it all but the tin barely closed with the mirror in it already. Thankfully that little knife is razor sharp and works quite well. As for the wire, that’s a good idea. I’m thinking there may be a 2.0 version at some point! Thanks for watching!
@@NEP_Chris nice. I picked up that same mirror at the dollar store with the same idea in mind. How did you get the metal off. I tried heating it to loosen the adhesive but no dice.
@@derekcascio I used a heat gun to loosen it and then a plastic spudger from my i-fixit tool kit to pull it out. After it was out, I set it on a piece of gorilla tape and cut around it with a razor to protect it from chipping apart. They are really cheap mirrors.
@@derekcascio gotta pry really gently because the edges will chip off. Out of 5 mirrors I was able to pull 4 without breaking them. I broke the first one I tried.
Tried fitting a razor in it but the mirror made it impossible. The lid wouldn’t close tight. The knife is very sharp though and less likely to dull as quick. Aside from that, I can always find a way to refine the edge of the knife. It was all in fun anyway! Thanks for watching!
Have had a lot going on at home. I work 10 hour days as well so weekends are the only time I have with my family. I’m trying to juggle family and content and my family will always come first.

You can survive with just fire and water . Maybe flashlight razor whistle . You should add a grocery store produce bag it will hold water

Made some great gear choices. Amazing what you can actually fit in that little tin
Thanks!
I love allí of your videos please don't stop, keep making more
Enjoyed the video! Looking to create a smaller version of my EDC and this gave me some ideas. Thank you!

It's amazing how much stuff you can fit into such a small tin love it
Nice kit, also just an idea but Cordage and additional things could maybe be added on outside also
Thanks for the disclaimer, I’ll take that seriously.
That aside, wow this is well thought out great job

Exact same intro song as Audit the Audit. Confused me for a second thought I clicked the wrong video 😂
lol same!

You did an amazingly good job. 👍
Great kit dude
Great video I have a smalls kit myself that would be extremely functional in case of an emergency
Instead of a knife, you can add Victorinox Classic or Victorinox Classic Alox
Victoranix classic key chain knife ..if space is concern .. remove the plastic scales.. place the tweezers in separate..
2:34 aww he’s cold
Pre-megnetise the needle because you can identify which side is pointing North
astounding
nice work
Killed it! And where did the tweezers come from??? Glad u did the vid Bro 🍻
Thanks! And I actually got them at dollar tree. Pack of 3 for $1.25 and they are actually decent 👍

Fishing, wire, small ferro rod, whistle,
2:35 Please give link for that cute little folding knife
They had those small knives on temu a few months ago
@@philddeantasdean6534 Thank you for replying
Is there an amazon link?
Very nice. Looks like you might be able to fit a flat razor blade in there. Is it possible to wrap the cordage in wire rather than twist ties?

Single edge razor otherwise fire and water is the priority good kit

Amazing 😂
Fantastic 💪
Not bad ah-tal ......... ..
I would add a saw of some sort in it
Awesome
I have a micro-knife similar to that...it was my grandfather's....probably 60+ years old.
I have a couple like that as well. Too sentimental to put in any of my kits. Afraid to lose them.
Wow something to carry in a pocket just in case
Fits in your change/watch pocket of your jeans and is better than nothing if you’re in a pinch! 👍
Can you link the knife I can't find it? X
Here ya go! 🙂

Advil for heart attacks instead of the anti-diarrheal medicine
Can you say Fresno lens,or Tylenol or paper and refill pen 🖊 don't forget a vitamin and dental floss...
Why? If you’re going to make a comment like this, explain your reasoning.
