I am a newbie to trueNAS-scale and I've been struggling for 5 days now trying to make jellyfin install and set the directories to work properly. I finally succeeded to do so after watching your video sir. This is the most comprehensive tutorial for me, everyone else is : click here, type this, click that, done! before you can even blink. People making these kind of videos have to understand that we are here to learn and not evaluate their skills, I find your explanatory way of showing things way more educational. And yes, I did my research, but it seems in the open source/linux/NAS community things change from version to version so the info we reach on forums etc. are not always (or are they ever?) applicable. I had to search with very specific terms to find my way to your video and a couple of others to finally solve my issue. Thank you so much for the effort and your way of sharing information.

Sadly, I just realized that I had access from anywhere with browser but can't with Desktop or mobile app. I got this new error and warning : - Your web server is not yet properly set up to allow file synchronization, because the WebDAV interface seems to be broken. To allow this check to run you have to make sure that your Web server can connect to itself. Therefore it must be able to resolve and connect to at least one of its `trusted_domains` or the `overwrite.cli.url`. This failure may be the result of a server-side DNS mismatch or outbound firewall rule. - Your web server is not properly set up to resolve `.well-known` URLs, failed on: `/.well-known/webfinger` For more details see the documentation. 43:55 Yes you can! You can skip that authentication for the network, it may not load images etc but it works

I have been trying to setup OpenVPN on a omada er605, and setup ddns as one of my WAN's dont have a Static IP support and is possibly behind a CGNAT, have setup cloudflare tunnels on my truenas and they work perfectly. After weeks of trying im unable to figure it out, any help would be appreciated 🙏

Great job! I was able to get this up and going on RC2 Eel. Howevever, there were a few weird quirks that were different but your video helped me for the most part.

Randy I bought a used Yottamaster Y-focus FS5C3, i think yours is same model with 2 usb-c, one hub and one main, i connected my hard drivers and Truenas is having trouble detecting my 4 hard drives. It detects 2, then a new 3rd one gets error "ZFS Health". but i switch them around and it switches the error to another drive. They are all different sizes. I read that Truenas doesn't recommend using USB drives. I'm also using a usb-c to usb-a cables and tried different ones.

You don't need that rig to activate, I mean I activate main without taking off the joycon. I just insert the rcm loader and is starting.I don't understand why you need to take off one of the joycon.

This saved my life! One thing: If you sign to cloudflare using a google account you can't get an API key as it asks for a password (which you never made). This is solved by inviting a member to have full access to your cloudflare account. You can use another gmail for example and just sign up regularly this time. Then when you set up the certs you just use the secondary gmail instead of the actual account you have the cloudflare domain on.

as of late 2024 truecharts is no longer usable in the method mentioned here due to some incoming changes to truenas sacel moving to docker

truenas don't host truecharts anymore but on github, there are truecharts repositories available which do still work, but will not always upgrade. YOu can put the url from that repository into install catalogus in truenas

I'm struggling with the radarr root folder. The Media folder I created does show up in windows explorer with all the stuff that should be there but radarr doesn't find it so I cannot add it.
