Ryatus Recordings I think I shot this in 1080 60fps. With the IPhone 7 and 7 plus the camera is better giving you the ability to shoot in 4K. You may have to change the settings though I'm not sure if the default setting is 4K.

Joel Henriques VPS is vision positioning system. The Phantom 3 Standard does not have "VPS" so no need to worry about turning it off. VPS was first included in the Phantom 3 Pro model and Phantom 3 Advanced as well as every model higher. If you consider everything flying over water is a safe bet. Yes you may have a failure either pilot or hardware but if you go down you are very unlikely to cause any damage to people or property.

Albert Gilding Phantom 3 Standard is still a great bird. That's the first one I bought as well.

I love my Phantom. I have only about 2 hours of flight time on it. I am still trying to get the camera setting down so I can get cleaner smoother video. This year I plan to fly a ton more.

jerry Paul And what a great question it is... truth be told I'm not 100% sure either way. Drones laws are still a bit like the Wild West. Even when laws are clear what isn't clear is who is enforcing them. I would just suggest to always use your best judgement and never attempt anything you personally feel is overly risky or that would put others in certain danger. I personally never felt comfortable flying beyond line of sight but many others do on a regular basis relying solely on the fpv screen. To me that is way too dangerous.

Sure thing man. This video was shot with a P3 Standard in 2.7k 30fps in D-Log mode, white balance was left on auto, sharpness 0, contrast -2, saturation -2. I used iMovie for the edit and only added a little color saturation to enhance the colors and warm up the picture a bit.

Easiest just to find them on Amazon. Search for Polar Pro ND filters for Phantom 3. Make sure you get the correct set. There is one set for Adv/Pro that screw on and another for Standard that push on.

Haha I know right. Not retired just missing in action i guess... The bird is still good just collecting a little dust with the batteries in storage mode. I flown a few times but nothing worthy of posting a video. I need to get out to a nice location its been to hot in my area with afternoon temps 100+. Just don't want to risk the equipment failing in the heat. I'm gonna try to get out soon and shoot some footage.

I did boost the color saturation a bit but from above the water does take on a greenish hue in the shallow areas around Tahoe.

Hey Gary, first off thanks for watching. This area is the public piers which of course is all public access. Coming off of I-80 east and taking the second Donner Road exit will lead you there just follow along Donner Road past the State Park and you'll see these piers along the north side of the lake. There is also a public park area on the west end of the lake as well as a boat launch area you could probably use as well. I imagine the public piers are quite busy this time of the year so you'll have to get out there early in the day. Do you live around the area?

Range in the Standard really isn't all that bad. Stick with no antenna mod you'll go about 1500-1700ft which pretty much takes you out to your line of sight. With a $75 antenna mod you can stretch the range out 2 to 3 times that. With the Standard and ARGtek mod I did go a distance of about a mile over the Lake. It would have gone farther but I didn't really push it.

+Ekhtear Hossaon You will need to import the video into an editing software first. For Windows I believe Windows Movie Maker is free. This will allow you to edit your footage, add music/etc. and export it as a usable/viewable file.
