+Jason Scarboro No problem. I'm amazed at how smooth your videos are. Mine are fine until I upload them to you tube then they become jumpy - what settings do you use ? thanks
+Gordon Melrose Building Design Are you using ND Filters when shoot? ND filters will help with the smoothness of the video. My camera settings are 2.7k 30fps, D-log Mode, Style None, White Balance on Auto, everything else on factory default.
The capture is real nice and a good job on the edit as well. I am traveling at the moment with a slow connection so I will watch the rest when I have the speed to see the HD. Keep up the good work.Dana
Thank you. The American River is very popular for kayaking and rafting. I once took a whitewater rafting trip down the south fork of this river. In a few months I may hike down the south fork and try to capture some footage of the kayakers making their way through the rapids.
You sure do have a great artistic mind the way you move your drone and get such great shots! Really nice job on editing and the transitions! Great video! I learned alot from this video that will help expand my thought process when flying for sure. Subscribing and can't wait to see more!
Very nicely done. Flying up to the bridge level and getting the pan shots was probably a bit tough. However, I think it was perhaps more difficult to travel WITH the river current backward. I imagine it took some pre-flight checking to make sure you could fly backward and not run into anything .. or else had a spotter to assist you. In any case, well done. Weather here today is cloudy with 25-40mph winds, so I get to watch other people's videos. Cheers.
Thanks Bill. This video was shot from two locations the first from just beside the top of the bridge and the second about a mile away on the rivers edge. Doing the reverse shots was fairly easy as I was no more than 100 yards away while filming it. Thanks for watching.
Thanks man. Yes I was pretty close to the rocks but the slight downward angle of the camera helps to make it look even closer. I'd say I was probably about 12 inches above them.
+Jason Scarboro I look forward to watching all of your videos! I'm a newbie since December, and it helps to watch others work for ideas, and learning new technicques.
+Jeff Holbury Sr - Phantom 3 Professional Drone yeah I'm new as well just started with the drone at the end of January looking forward to upgrading to the P3 advanced soon.
I started with the Standard in December, then went Pro in January. The only difference of course from your Advanced, is the 4k capability. Which I decided was what I wanted to do, as that will become mainstream soon enuff.
Awsome ! Say me please what a setting on camera u are use ? How i can get quality like this on my Standard ? And say me please if u use some Video - editor ?
Sure thing man. This video was shot with a P3 Standard in 2.7k 30fps in D-Log mode, white balance was left on auto, sharpness 0, contrast -2, saturation -2. I used iMovie for the edit and only added a little color saturation to enhance the colors and warm up the picture a bit.
Thanks man! Yeah this is Northern Cali about 25 minutes from where I live. I only flew the bridge for a short bit. I had 2 groups of very large birds circling overhead which turned out to be Turkey Vultures. Just wasn't sure how drone friendly they were.
I put the ARGtek mod on mine and have gotten out to just over a mile though I don't really recommend flying out farther than you can physically see it. Please subscribe and check out the rest of my videos.
Ok J I went and watched it again and it seems to me you did a little color grading and looks great without color grading this I think the D log would of let this video been a little flat in color. Am I right either way it's awesome thanks for sharing. One more thing what editing software are you using?
Thanks Richard! So for the first part of your question yes I did so color grading to this video. I think in the second part of your question you're asking why use D-Log mode if it flattens the color and contrast in the video? You actually want that flat image so that you have total control of the color and contrast in your videos.
+Jason Scarboro I see that you only tweaked the color a little not to much and not to little it's balanced perfect to give it a more natural look. I'm going to get there lol. Keep up the good work my friend
Hey man thanks for watching I appreciate it. The camera settings I used are as follows 2.7k 30fps D-Log mode Style none White balance on Auto Shot with an ND8 Filter
+Jason Scarboro cool also I tried to use window media player to play my video but it said it doesnt support it .. so do u have any other players that should work for the micro sd card 8gb
+Ekhtear Hossaon You will need to import the video into an editing software first. For Windows I believe Windows Movie Maker is free. This will allow you to edit your footage, add music/etc. and export it as a usable/viewable file.
Beautiful footage, especially when you fly close above rocks in the river. Thumbs up Jason and keep it up.
Thanks I appreciate it. That was my favorite shot as well it almost appears as if the rock is going to break through the screen.
I like the low flying over the river. Great shots!
Thanks man I appreciate it.
WoW, beautiful video, Stunning location. Well done, Thumbs up!

+Jason Scarboro Thanks Jason - yes - filters on order, juat waiting for them to arrive. Hopefully they will improve smoothness. thanks
+Gordon Melrose Building Design They absolutely will.

Great vid
Thanks Shawn.
2:14 What a shot! Must of been close to the rocks!
Thanks man. Yes I was pretty close to the rocks but the slight downward angle of the camera helps to make it look even closer. I'd say I was probably about 12 inches above them.
Actually the shot at 2:14 was probably closer to 2ft above an early shot is a bit tighter. Please subscribe and check out the rest of my videos.
Wow nice man! Definitely going to sub ;)

Awsome ! Say me please what a setting on camera u are use ? How i can get quality like this on my Standard ?
And say me please if u use some Video - editor ?
Great video, will you share your camera and enhancement config? They look so sharp, colorfull and natural.
Sure thing man. This video was shot with a P3 Standard in 2.7k 30fps in D-Log mode, white balance was left on auto, sharpness 0, contrast -2, saturation -2. I used iMovie for the edit and only added a little color saturation to enhance the colors and warm up the picture a bit.
it only lets me see it as 1080p
Zachary Womble Yes Zack it was shot in 2.7k and rendered in 1080 in post.
oh ok sorry my mistake
how can you post it and it display 2.7k footage because i am planning on purchasing one
Oh damn! This is stunting area. Is this still in norther Cali? Your brand your kayak with you bro. Are you fly under the bridge? Excellent work !
Thanks man! Yeah this is Northern Cali about 25 minutes from where I live. I only flew the bridge for a short bit. I had 2 groups of very large birds circling overhead which turned out to be Turkey Vultures. Just wasn't sure how drone friendly they were.
Awesome video, I have the P3S too. What is the max range (roughly) you can achieve with yours?
I put the ARGtek mod on mine and have gotten out to just over a mile though I don't really recommend flying out farther than you can physically see it. Please subscribe and check out the rest of my videos.

+Jason Scarboro ok great answer. Did you pay for Imovie or is that a free software?
+Jason Scarboro I must say I'm going to learn this editing by watching your videos thanks bud I'm behind you 100%
+Jason Scarboro I see that you only tweaked the color a little not to much and not to little it's balanced perfect to give it a more natural look. I'm going to get there lol. Keep up the good work my friend
Damn I have the standard and I can't get that kind of footage
nice!!
Thanks man I appreciate it.
