Fun facts: Alana's family are, well, Alana's real family (and bandmates). The part was written especially for her because PTA had directed a number of Haim's music videos. Many of the characters in the film are real people, or based on real people from LA in the 1970s, including Gary himself, who is based on child actor, producer, and serial entrepreneur Gary Goetzman. Jon Peters, Bradley Cooper's character actually married Pam Anderson for, like, ten days a few years ago. Benny Safdie's character, Joel Wachs, finally came out as gay at age 60 and is currently the head of the Andy Warhol Foundation, but he never became Mayor of LA despite three attempts. Gary's agent, Mary Grady, was a real talent agent who was also mother of actor Don Grady. The racist, serially married restaurateur Jerry Frick and radio DJ B. Mitch Reid were well known people in the Valley in those days as well. Sean Penn's "Jack Holden" is an expy for actor William Holden and Lucy Doolittle is an obvious expy for Lucille Ball, whose estates obviously weren't willing to let their names be used for the film.
It is Jim Jarmush idiot
Dude take it easy its unbarrable with the constant talking .
Ahh man you missed out on the real life footage of the guy in the end.
Watch Possessor, Brandon's previous movie (better in my opinion, even if I like this one as well).
The same director made another war movie named Madras cafe try it... Aqh
U can watch madras cafe, amazing civil war movie😎😎😎,.., mm. K
Although Dae-su assumes that Soo-ah had fake pregnancy, the direction of the movie suggests that she was pregnant with a high chance. In the first scene when Dae-su pulls a tie of the guy who tried to commit suicide, the guy held a dog that is innocent. Similarly, in the Woo-jin’s flashback, Woo-jin holds a hand of Soo-ah who also tried to commit suicide. The dog in the first scene can be compared to Soo-ah’s baby that is also innocent.
Forest Gump, Moonlight and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button are my favorite movies 😭
I don’t get it but I always vote for the underdog clean picture for sure
Break down your videos into 15-20 mins reactions ! would you sit down and watch an hour long reaction video ?
Fave movie Nd loved Ur reaction..🙂
I would recommend you react to the 2023 Romance/Drama film "ROCKY AUR RANI KII PREM KAHANI" ❤ It's genuinely one of the best movies of 2023, you have to see it 🔥 (on Prime Video)
My favourite movie
Phillip Seymour Hoffman died of an accidental drug overdose not by suicide. He had 6 more scenes to do when he died the most notable of which is the one that was replaced with Haymitch reading a letter to Katniss after she kills Coin. That scene was suggested by the books author Suzanne Collins.
Seriously you don't recognize PTSD treating its portrayal disrespectfully?
The "issues" you have with the shakey cam were to keep the movie rated PG 13. What would you have done?
I feel watching everyone’s reaction to this movie was so disingenuous, and more of a commentary.
The book is also great, and told from Chief's point of view ☮️
I was only eleven years old when this came out, but I can still hear the theater audience cheering at the end ☮️
Billy's mother was abusive to him. That's why he was there.😢
Great writing doesn't need trixeration
Culture and surroundings are a big paart of how a video like this can affect a girls life. The idea of "shame" has a whole different gravity to it specifically in this culture. I wish it was not like that, but victim shaming is real and has its bad effects.
yo can you tell me who is the actor who play the out of area in the movie?
Some Japanese movies worth to watch? Well... anime movies aside, my favorites are (in alphabetical order): "Audition" (Original Title "Ôdishon", 1999, Director: Takashi Miike) "Brother" (2000, Director: Takeshi Kitano) "Fireworks" (Original Title "Hana-bi", 1997, Director: Takeshi Kitano) "Hara-Kiri - Death of an Samurai" (Original Title "Ichimei", 2011, Director: Takashi Miike) "Kikujiro" (Original Title "Kikujirô no natsu", 1999, Director: Takeshi Kitano) "Postman Blues" (Original Title "Posutoman burûsu", 1997, Director: Sabu) "Ran" (1985, Director: Akira Kurosawa) "Seven Samurai" (Original Title "Shichinin no samurai", 1954, Director: Akira Kurosawa) "Tampopo" (Original Title "Tanpopo", 1985, Director: Jûzô Itami) "Zatoichi - The Blind Swordsman" (Original Title "Zatôichi", 2003, Director: Takeshi Kitano) It's a mix of various genres (horror, action, comedy, drama). I also can provide a top 10 of my favorite anime movies if you want.
Even your reupload is so annoying having to relisten to your condescension to the Oscar winning special effects.
Awesome reaction! I saw another comment already mention it, but you should check out "Terrified (aterrados)". Its by rhe same director and even creepier!
Hellywood is so terrified by movies like this, (Why they only allow them ONE award, so there over hyped self aggrandizing circle jerk isn't interrupted by real entertainment) where people are paid what they are worth. (Only 10 mill and WAY underfunded) Not massive over hyped DIE or WOKE Propaganda POS costing hundreds of millions no one wants to see and are not willing to pay huge ticket prices for. I've been watching the big G-Man for just over 50 years. The classic "All Monsters Attack/son of Godzilla" Was the one most of the kids I knew loved most. We all hade or favorite kaijū and had the action figures. So it will hold the top spot for me, but THIS Movie Right Here Is the Best iteration of Godzilla BAR NUN!
HOLY CRAP, do I believe the Oscar hype!!!! Minus One was beautifully done. Shikishima struggling to deal with survivor's guilt & PTSD suddenly being thrust back into a war against the very creature that put him in that spot to begin with was s hell of a fight. All while struggling to accept the family dynamic with Noriko and Akiko? Amazing. *SIDE NOTES:* I wasn't expecting Noriko to have survived getting caught in that shockwave from the Atomic Breath, but those Godzilla cells literally saved her neck. The title "Minus One" aludes to the bombings of Hiroshima & Nagasaki setting everything at 0, but Godzilla's arrival sent it down below 0 to -1.
Calling this a spanish movie is like calling you an english man
Why thank you good sir! Sounds pretty posh, I can work with that. Seriously though I'll do better and try to remember a quick Wiki search before I start. Thanks for the correction!
This film is just one of the reasons why the story's author, Robert Heinlein, is so revered today. Four Hugo Awards, one Grand Master Nebula Award, and countless other accolades. And it's not even his first time-travel story - for that you have to go back a couple of decades and read "By His Bootstraps" - another mindf*ck.
Watch "Dangal"
This movie and Eien no Zero make me remember my grand-grand father who was kamikaze pilot. My grand mother told me that my grand-grand mother used to tell her that he never said stuff not like patriot man,but he wrote in the last letter that he didn't want to die,and wanted to go home to hug her. So I understand Shikishima's struggle.
The subtitles of the movie are pissing me off at some parts. They are not literalll :(
If you like this, definitely check out the Korean film, A Hard Day.
Oh cool! Haven't actually got that one recommended. Looks pretty good! I'll add it to the list.
Your observation about Dunkirk is spot on: Shin Godzilla had a similar theme: while the bureaucrats and parliament dithered about what to do, civilians took the initiative and made a plan--just like in this movie. And like in Dunkirk, a fleet of civilian small boats mobilized and got the job done.
Yeah that was a great moment! Nice how they tied the character back in too.
Kamikaze were volunteers. But there was also alot of peer pressure tactics involved in the recruitment.
The director had an experience of directing "Ride attraction" Godzilla before this and that made this movie have many "first person-ish view" like passing nearby biting mouth or looking up the walk from ground level.
You aren't the only one to think the tanks look fake. Check the history books and you'll see at this time, Japanese tanks look exactly like this.
Tanks were still primitive in WW2 and the Germans were the cooler ones. The American ones were more practical looking than stylistic. Am not sure if the Europeans had any and would be interested in seeing theirs
Its really sad to see many english audience don't understand many indian metaphor with out any Subtitles its time to start dubbing best indian movie in English also😊
You're just watching the story, you're not feeling the story. If you're going to take a reaction to a movie, don't watch it on such a small screen.
I dont think you’re using the word levity correctly. Levity means humor
Try.... Madras cafe... 2013...amazing civil war movie....
I saw it 8 times in theaters. 7 times color version and 1 time black and white. It's a masterpiece.
i didnt know it was screeened b&w
@@max784020 only for one week in the U.S. in limited theaters.
Drishyam malayalam is the orginal version far better that hindi
Just subbed hope you can continue uploading (and more Tarkovsky!) fun commentary, felt like I was watching with a mate who’s into film
Thanks man that's such a nice comment. Glad you felt that way! I did mirror also if you want to check that Tarkovsky film out.
great review but you were cracking jokes at the wrong time
Kgf 3 coming soon
The are a lot of good movies from Sovjet era you can find: "The cranes are flying" is a legendary Russian (Sovjet) movie that brought some new tricks into the world cinema. Roger Deakins loves its cinematography a lot! Drama "Moscow doesn't believe in tears" is great, "Burnt by the sun" of 1994 is very good....
Thanks for the recommendations! Cool Roger Deakins likes it. I'll add them to the list!
Unnecessary talking in between do that when needed.
