Cheat Sheet: Modifiable Variables Associated with Parkinson Progression
Просмотров 301Месяц назад
I recently gave a lecture at Tafara Farm outside of Negril, Jamaica and they warned me there wouldn't be internet or powerpoint available. I did my best to summarize the impact of different modifiable variables, relative to one another. Comprehensive conversations about the possible hows and whys behind these associations can be found in www.Parkinson-School.com.

Most of us - and people with Parkinson's in particular - get tight feet and few of us have the strength and flexibility that would allow us to give ourselves daily foot rubs. The muscles and tendons in our feet need attention! This video is from the Jan 2024 course, "Toys, Gadgets, & Gear" www.Parkinson-School.com

What is Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER)? And why isn't it being done in Parkinson's? Why are some clinics getting better results than others? It is ethical, appropriate, and/or essential to report on the outcomes their patients? Would physician egos permit it? What to do with Weight loss for PD patients? Need help please. My husband was diagnosed with PD three years ago he is taking levodopa/cabidopa I feed him as much as I can. I cook almost every day no junk food at all but he keeps losing weight. I’m very scared.
One of the early features of Parkinson's disease is impaired intestinal motility leading to constipation. Can precede motor symptoms by years or decades. Impaired motility can lead to changes in gut microbiome and might be the cause of the findings of altered organic acids and fungal metabolites if the altered microbiome allows environmental fungi to take hold in the gut where they otherwise would not. The animal data is interesting but this data she is presenting is not evidence that fungi are causing parkinson's disease. For those talking about toe fungus, it appears that the dermatophyte species that infect toenails and skin don't produce ochratoxin a, rather it is produces by aspergillus species and penicillium.
thank you
Thanks. I defeated fear of doing this myself.
Wooo that thumbnail expression is INTENSE! 😂 But seriously, thank you so much for your great tips!
Is this true for the time release med Rytary too?
My sister hasn't had much success with her meds; switched her to Rytary 4x day 950mg each dose. Movement disorder specialist appointment- next February! She's 83 now.
Omg!!! How deep do you put the needle??? And any suggestions of getting over the huge fear and nervousness of the injection
Can you take two B-12 shots per day?
❤❤❤❤❤❤
But for me, b12 injection ( neurobion forte rf) is unbearably painful... even leaves swelling for like a week or more everytime, and then the injection site becomes hard😢
I have to start giving myself b12 shots, this is going to suck for me because I hate needles. It’s going to hurt.
Thank you I was looking for a decent spot to inject
Thank you, I was extremely nervous to do it, saw your video and done, less than 10 seconds, didn’t even notice it 😂
Ty is very simple and easy to flow
I followed the directions exactly, but the liquid wouldn’t come out of the little bottle when I pulled. I injected 1ml air in and pulled back and nothing came out of the little bottle. 😵💫 I tried several times and no luck. What am I doing wrong?
this seriously was so amazingly helpful. feels a little sore after doing mine but it’s my first and i was a little nervous. honestly not bad at all. the scratching totally helps and the accomplishment you feel after is so worth it. if you see this comment. you can DO IT! i’m so anxious to see if this will help my fatigue
Wasn't it painful as the drug is going in ??? Please reply... It's too painful for me doing b12
Terrific presentation
Been on Rasagaline for 2 years. Just started Levadopa at half a pill for a week to determine my ability to tolerate.
Just started taking Levadopa after2 years on Rasagaline.Started Leva with half a pill for 2 weeks to check any side effects
Thank you I’m about to do my first TRT shot and b12 injection and I’m so nervous
Laurie- i took it 25/100 and felt like a zombie. could I try titration by cutting the pill into fourth's would that be better? i started Mirapex and it helped but still am exhausted. really want C/L because it is the gold standard.
So what can they take if they have been exposed to fungus - or suspect ochratoxin - A ? What is the cure? Ivermectin? CDS? 🤔🤔🤔 Also- Have you heard of Aminopyridine? A Naturopath said they have some success w this.. I am at my wit’s end w C/L - as it’s causing hallucinations and severe constipation w my HWP… Having a really tough time w HWP and not sure what to do.. The dilemna is: On C/L they get horrific REM disorder dreams/ Nightmares/ Paranoia- and even called 911 in middle of night saying there was truck coming through apartment. They have off C/L for a few days- and these horrible active nightmares where they sleepwalks have subsided.. HOWEVER, it seems like the Dopamine or missing C/L now they have less motivation to get themselves off bed, to physically walk themselves to the bathroom; constantly asking me to help pull them up, I am having more now to dress, put diapers on them ( as they also are having frequent urination) and had last few nights where they don’t know where bathroom is and we’ve traded the vivid nightmares w C/L for lack of motivation / w short term memory issues- and they aren’t having “the get up and go” as much to do daily tasks… Any thoughts? THANK YOU AND SENDING STRENGTH AND LOVE TO ALL OF YOU IN THIS BATTLE 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hi there, i have a question, my husban injects himself with b 12, i decided to try a b 12 shot for my nervousness, after research on the web. Since he has done it to Himself I let him do my shot. It was on my thigh way above my knee, ir stung during and when He pulled out the needle.I notice B12 juice or blood coming.Of course we apply pressure and it was all okay, I was laying on the bed and when I got up to walk. I felt my leg weak and also I felt like if I didn't walk on it That weakness would continue and i wouldnt be able to move. I Believe I was just sore since it is intramuscular shot. But, but my question is, why do I still feel in a way sore after a month of the shot? I have kneeled down where my thigh streches and I feel like a tearing burning sensation, in that area, what is the cause of it? Is that normal? I cant even do much of a quad strech without feeling burning tearing sensation. Please help thank you
Great but no! Just looking at that was painful.
Can you show us how to inject this into a glute, thank you ma'am.
How do I get part two of this video
Thank you! Great technique. I will really try. I don't know what it is. I'm in the medical field and can do almost anything...except give myself a shot! O.o
I have my husband help me but it literally burns and brings me to tears every time!!! Why does this happen????
If it’s b complex they are more painful because the medication is thicker than compared to b12. Make sure youre injecting into the upper half of the buttock, or thigh, and inject SLOWLY. If you inject too fast it can burn. Massage the area after injecting to disperse the meds. Hope this helps!
Great talk. I'm not usually very receptive to naturapath approaches, but you explained it very clearly, without exaggerating the causation, and I appreciated that very much. Also I like that people with participants can participate in your research. Thank you for sharing.

I am not only happy am alive but also glad that "DrMadida" was able treat and cure me with his herbal medication of my parosmia, Meniere disease and Parkinson disease(PD) with their herbal treatment🌿🌿.
It's not juice
I am trying to share my reports but i keep getting a message that i need to go to configure to give permission ... How do i fix this?
Good information…I started taking a high dose of DHA as soon as I was diagnosed with PD but only 500mg/day. After watching this video I’ve increased to 1000mg/day. What you had to say about the regulation or lack there of is spot on. However many of the more reputable suppliers have on their own had their products analyzed and tested by NSF which is an independent lab that verifies and certifies the potency and purity of supplements. Consumers should look for the NSF logo on the products label. Two such suppliers are Garden of Life and Carlson’s both of which do have 1000mg capsules at a competitive price, and both are available on Amazon.

Great content
Fish; wild caught, farmed or sea caught? Canned, in a pouch or what's the best packaging? You said only turkey& fish are the best. Or didn't it make a difference (I know your studies might not answer that) but curious
I need to inject into a vein as opposed to a muscle - my B12 shots are leaving a lumpiness in the skin. I can get it injected by IV in Thailand but not in the UK, hence the question.
Are certain foods linked to Parkinson’s disease progression, or is simply a particular diet an indicator or evidence of someone’s lifestyle, financial strength, education and general health. In other words, people who are financially secure and are well educated are more likely to eat vegetables, fish and drink red wine. Poor people with limited education are more likely to eat fried and canned food. If someone is active, takes regular vacations, has good diet based on fresh produce before they were diagnosed with PD, it’s not clear it would help them after?
I love your lifestyle modification strategy and going to try them THANK YOU
So what’s your opinion of organic red wine vs non-organic red wine?
Thank you, Thank you Doctor. I really appreciate your approach on this horrible disease.
So interesting thank you
The nurse showed me how to apply on my belly. I did not know I can do it in my legs. It looks way easier. My B12 has B6 pre-filled. Can I do still in my legs? Thank you!!!
I’ve never seen anyone use the leg. I’ve only done and seen upper arm n buttocks.
Thank you, thank you!! Followed your instructions. Complete painless success! Can’t believe it. 😊
Look it up, see where it comes from! Cyanocobalamin comes from green sludge on top of sewer plant ponds! It's FOUR TIMES more Cyanide than you're supposed to have
I only use methylcobalamin!
Lovely to hear about your thoughts.. I have come across your channel every once in a while. You seem to really care, lots of strength and kudos to you! I'm from Finland, I think we're genetically disposed to this disease. Some of my relatives and colleagues have been touched by this disease. Love the cutting-edge research and any new insights into this. And your compassion.
It’s vinegar! There’s more vinegar content in red wine
