ManuSina - Eternal Flame | The Bangles
Hello, is this the best violin for beginners? I would like to buy a violin, and my maximum price would be €200.
Hi :-) I haven't tried any other cheap violins to compare, but this one for sure is incredible for the price (I paied CHF 143.50 which is about €152 currently). It really looks and sounds great. I had violin lessons for 10 years and played in several youth orchestras when I still played violin actively. So I'm a experienced player. I still own a $4'000 Buchner violin (which is partly broken unfortunately), and this one isn't worse by far to my taste. Pretty incredible. So you for sure can't go wrong with this one for this tiny price. It's currently €179 at Thomann.
@@b-music9329 Thank you for this complete answer, so I will buy it. Best wishes! One last question: I don't have a violin teacher, although I already play the guitar. I have a friend who has been playing the violin for a long time. Do you think I can learn from his advice and lessons on RUclips?
@@JadeDarde Sure - but I nevertheless advise to get a few "physical" lessons by a pro teacher since the exact physical posture of violin, fingers and bow is cruicial and should be trained and corrected accordingly at the very beginning - otherwise there's the danger that you get used to an incorrect posture. Playing violin is very very different from playing guitar (I play the guitar too) in every aspect
@@b-music9329 Thank you for all your advice.
12:20 splendid analysis! I personally think that there were some cuts / coping in this solo (so not a one-take by Gilmour), here, and especially in the first riff where one supposes a re-picking of the A, but in fact it's just a slight sound-change in the aimed A after the bending when you listen carefully
Well possible - I think the first-take / one-take legend comes from the FIRST solo in Comfortably Numb which reportedly really was a first-take by Gilmour. But already the second one reportedly was coped together out of the best parts of several takes - and I guess this is the case too for the another brick solo
I've seen many wall solo tutorials already and this here definitely is the most useful of all. No talking, just showing the fretboard close-up in player's view (no need to turn 180° in my head) and in super slow motion - way to go!
Thank you :-)

When I see this savage swim for the first time it’s shocking me how can they do that ????? The grand parent take my kid to swimming there it’s make me so upset and I hate it!!! and I will never going to swim there
It's very relaxing to swim in the Aare :-) Of course you must be a good swimmer
Even the Kawai ES920 key action didn't feel as good as the P115.
Still love my P115. Just went to a big piano store and almost all digital piano's I tried (also waay more expensive ones) felt worse than the P115 😂 even an expensive piano like the Nord Grand (Kawai key action) was not as good as the P115 action. There were some nice sounding digital piano's but a lot of the key actions were just shit. Really slow and strange feeling compared to a P115🤷♂️P115 keys have great weight and response imo.
Seems we picked a winner here ;-) Yes, I feel the same. The P-115 simply feels and sounds right. I had to buy it after I played just some notes on it in a music store when it came out. It felt and sounded so natural. I don't look for another digital piano anymore since.
thanks
What cable do you use?
That's just a cheap patch-cable from an Adam Hall IPP Patchcable Set 1.2m (IPP 0120 SET) - so the blue one connecting the black Acoustic Stage box to the amp. I like to have something short and light here.
Almost "identical". Gilmour's is a 1955.
I think the only actual difference is that the 55 model also had gold painting on the back and the neck - not sure if this makes a lot of difference to the sound
Scrubbed a couple notes - good job.
You pop the strings too much. A lighter touch on nylon.
It's my style of playing ;-)
Juicy!
How would you get to the pickup?
I guess it's a piezo strip below the saddle
How do I adjust the action on this guitar ?
I never had to adjust anything , but I guess there's a truss rod in the neck which let you adjust the neck bending (probably below the removable plate on the head)
Beautiful played nice song

I've heard it has natural distortion if volume is turned full. I wanna know more about it since I can't buy distortion pedal. So any guides
Yes - that's the distortion you hear in this video
@@b-music9329 oh okay. But full volume would be a pain for ears right. So can't we do something to make the sound be lower but still would get distortion
@@ripchain19i play at maximum/medium volume and its good
Great playing. Could you tell me if you can connect it to a pc in order to play it with vst plugins ? I'm looking for a good digital piano that I can also use with my Native Instruments library. I assume all these keyboards have that feature nowadays but I'm not sure.
It has an USB connector, so you can connect it via USB to a computer both to send MIDI notes from the piano to the computer, but also to send MIDI notes from the computer to the piano. I tried it and it works well. I think I not even needed a driver. What the piano doesn't have is a standard old-school 5-Pin MIDI-Connector. But not a big loss when you have USB.
@@b-music9329 Thanks very much for the quick reply ! I think I've found my keyboard of choice, and your review in the comments really help with my decision. Thanks again mate.
@@TheStreetFabulous You're very welcome
I went from the P125 to this and the the P115 is MUCH better in terms of sound AND key action. Yamaha claims its the same on both pianos.. lol ITS NOT !!❌ they messed it up with the P125! Love the P115, own it for a year know. Bought it thanks to this video and reply👌thank you.
Wow, that's strange ideed - but good to know! In this case even more very glad that I pulled the trigger after trying the P115 in a music store in 2018 which blew me right away. I couldn't believe how authentic this lightweight and cheap keyboard felt and sounded. I'm EXTREMELY happy with the P115 since 5 years already. I would not even exchange it for a medicore grand piano.
Nice...just bought one...did you have to do any additional setup when you got yours?
No, none at all - it was perfectly playable at factory setting; What however was quite strange that the first one I bought (I bought two) was very light-weight what I loved - but the second one I bought then was a lot heavier. I bough both at Thomann, and maybe just two weeks in between. So I can't say which one was off and if it's normally light or heavy
These of course were swamped by the CP70/80 in the market but I think have a better true acoustic piano sound with maybe a bit less instrument specific character than the Yamaha
Great tune! Is this your own composition, and why is the cam moving around?
Hehe, I'm wearing a GoPro mounted on a head-strap for a first person view experience, plus in-ear mics - so you see and hear exactly what I see as a player - that's why It's moving ;-) Yes, it's my own composition. For a fully instrumented jazz-trio version (piano/double bass/drum) check this video: ruclips.net/video/O75Dv6nlqAE/видео.html
Very nice playing. But seriously, this guitar sounds awesome. The player and the guitar are both awesome. So awesome for being awesome. Awesome!

Smooth! Perfectly played .... David Gilmour would be proud! Great guitar btw!
Love this setup. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful peace - seems to be quite some fingerwork :-)
Thanks :-) Yes, it's indeed quite demanding. I already used to play this piece years ago, but then quit playing the piano for several years and therefore lost it. Now I'm re-excercising it
Damn straight, dude.
j'adore cette composition
Merci beaucoup :-)
woaw... bravo et merci pour cette pièce de musique très impressionnante techniquement🙏❤
Merci beaucoup :-) Ce n'est pas encore parfait, j'ai besoin de plus de pratique...
Cool music B! really chill and nice melody!
Thank you :-)
How's the action on this one compared to a grand piano? I'm a beginner in jazz piano so would you say this would put me on the right track when it comes to the keybed?
Well, of course it's not exactly the same including all the tiny details in behaviour like the escape mechanism and distance of key suspension, but it nevertheless feels "right" even for someone like me who also had the chance to regularly play on an expensive Steinway grand - I also had another trained piano player saying the same when he tried it - which means it behaves correctly and "true" regarding dynamics and acceleration which is very important to be able to play high grade stuff like Chopin and also Jazz which works very well for me on this digital piano. It feels right and natural, accelerated notes pop out in a well way (clear and shimmery) and you also can go smooth and soft. It's done as well by Yamaha that I really forget during playing that I'm not playing a real piano. For me it's the best and most true felling and sounding ditigtal piano I've ever owned or tried, even including much more expensive ones even though they offered more emulated details like escape mechanism, which then often felt sort of artificially or exaggerated to me. I also like the sound coming from the built-in speakers - neither too bassy nor thin - just right and natural. This is very important for me since I never play with headphones because I really need the natural room sound to feel comfortable. But I only can speak for this exact model (P-115) - which means I didn't try the follower P-125 (the P-115 has been discontinued). I previosly owned the Yamaha P-80 and the Roland FP-8 for many years and I also tried various other ones in music shops. Yamaha for me generally has the most natural feel and the best linking from mechanics to sound engine. But this probably also is a matter of taste. So to cut a long story short: if it's good enough for an advanced player like me it for sure too is for a beginner.
@@b-music9329 Thank you so much for the detailed answer! I just have the chance to grab this along with accessories 2nd hand barely used for 450€, so your review has me convinced that it is indeed worth the money!
@@joonajaakkola3865 You're welcome - go for it! It's worth every penny - I even bought two of them just to have a replacement in case it should break one day

For playing this on a Gibson you will burn in hell! ;)
Why? Gilmour himself played it on a Gibson Les Paul Goldtop 1955 on the record (which is identical to the guitar I used for this video except for the gold-painted back) - and he also played it live on this Gibson still in the 1980 "The Wall" shows. Search for the video "The David Gilmour Guitar Collection" (Channel: David Gilmour) where Dave describes the guitars he sold in the big Christies auction. At about 3 minutes 37 seconds in the video he features the Gibson guitar I mentioned.
