Felix Cavaliere: Legendary Singer Songwriter for The Rascals
Well, Jack gets to speak even after his passing on our channel.
It must be known that Jack was a very sick and evil narcissist, who was a washed up has been, who was totally responsible for killing 100 people in my hometown! He was interviewed by the news the night of the fire he started, and he fell to the ground, in an effort to try and fake out the public, that he was having a breakdown, when in fact, he was only acting, to gain sympathy, as he got back up on his feet, like Nothing happened!! Anyone who believes that Jack was a good and decent person, watch the Guest List, where the truth is there for everyone to see! Jack Russell, was all about himself, and was a total and utter coward, who never took any responsibility, whatsoever, for being totally responsible for killing 100 people, for no other reason, but for his huge dishusting fragile ego!!! He should have gone to prison for many years, for what he did!! He was a total and utter fake and used his phony facade to his advantage!! He finally got his long overdue karma and may he be paying the same hell, that he caused so many people, by all of the innocent lives he destroyed!!
I honestly don't care about Super Bowl. I do care for the Olympics and World Cup. And I was not aware of Gojira's presentation at the Paris 2024 opeining so I was pleasantly surprised when I watch them. It was fantastic. Nothing will ever top what the French did with Gojira. That was surreal. Beautiful. Powerful. Epic.
Jack Russell was a fantastic vocalist,if you dont believe me listen to House of Broken Love
such a great song
Even Prince idolised Mark Farner as a singer! Don Brewer's singing style reminds me a little bit like Cher, but super cool just the same
It’s NOT Great White Without Jack Russell Period❤I Have Two Of There DVD’s.
You will be so missed only famous I cried over passing
Gonna miss you 💖
Very sad. I just found out a couple of days ago. My favorite band and favorite singer. R.I.P. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched the video live at the Ritz. Many. Jack was at his prime. And agreed, the fire was not his fault. It was the club owners and the fire department that looked over massive issues. Glad you didn’t ask him about it.
Give Great white They're Due Mark was out there on the L.A. club scene with Van Halen And Quiet Riot and Snow they played The Strip they were there in the Begining guys .Even though they may have been Called Dante Fox , they were part of the Brew
No…he didn’t…his ego when they split was out of control…they did not like him…..his doing.
Saw Great White around 2000 , a way past her prime hoochie mama was trying to get back stage during a song , Jack kept shaking his head no to security. I bet he remembered her from years before. Good ol Lampe , Mo . Black Oak Mountain Ampitheatre.
Rock Me!!!! I will miss that voice- RIP Jack
So Jack 😂😂❤
PoundinPat here,I knew Jack when he was in Dante Fox,they were from Anaheim ,not HB , I bought coke from same dealer Jack did,and my neighbor was bassist for Dante Fox
That's quite the degree of separation thanks for the clarification that Dante was not in HB
They were just a fantastic live band. ❤
Simply the best live singer of his era! Jack Russell was a one of a kind talented and gifted voice. Your beautiful music lives on....👈🎤🔥🔥😢😭
it is such a loss
It was the Aussie band 'The Angels' "Face the the Day" they covered. Not "Angel City". It is astonishing and way beyond Metallica or any other band having discovered such a niche hidden gem of a band. I'm still amazed by it.... Rest in Peace Jack.....
You are correct!!

Great singer. Met him several times and liked him a lot.
Always a very cool dude
Cool interview..
Thank you so much!!
Where'd you get that awesome KNAC shirt MC? Best rock radio station in the LA area EVER, not KLOS, not KMET, KNAC ROCKED!!!
“Shot in the Dark” is such an underrated song. So good! I remember me and my buddy use to rock out air guitar every time KMET or KNAC played “Stick It.” That was the very first song I ever heard from Great White. For some reason, I didn’t really become a fan of their music until 1989. That is when I bought their cd “Once Bitten” then shortly after “Twice Shy.”
Agreed on Shot in the Dark!! Such a great song. They have a lot of great deep cuts
Love it! No hesitation Rock me ❤my intro to Great white I was Hooked Great song !
Love it that there was zero hesitation
“Rock Me” is the single best of all time rock and roll song. A true masterpiece.
It was THE song of that summer and continues to be great to this day
I am soooo going to miss Jack! If one band defined the 80's for me it was Great White! I liked Motley, Ratt, and LA Guns and the Sunset Strip scene but I loved Great White! It's been tough listening to Mark Kendall running down Jack in past interviews when they are all guilty of their excesses. He was one guy that always had time for the fans and even in a hurry had time for them. My heart breaks but he is no longer in any pain it was very tough seeing his condition the last few years he always was about the show. RIP Jack and thanks for the music and the memories!
from my perspective from the media. He got it. He embraced the fact their success was tied with getting promotion not just from MTV but radio too. He always had thoughtful answers to questions. Just an immense talent and will be very missed
Fire by Jimi Hendrix.
Says online that he passed away on the 7th?? I thought it was the 15th??
pretty sure it was the 15th
One of his band mates told Eddie Trunk he passed a week before it was announced. So if that were the case the 7th would make sense.
15th
@PlusOneARocknRollPodcast-mt9nf Great 👍 Interview, guys! Subscribed!
I saw Great White in concert when the band opened for Whitesnake. I also met him during a chance opportunity. He was such a gentleman and very kind. I loved his voice and I’m grateful for his music.🙏🏼
always a great guy
I seen that tour with Whitesnake in Hampton, VA. The first time I seen them, they opened for Judas Priest in 1984. I've been blessed to have met Jack and talked with him on several occasions, the most memorable being in Pittsburgh for the acoustic Storytellers show. We got to hang out with Jack and Robby along with the venue owner for a couple hours after the show. Such an incredible person. This was a hard loss.
Thank you Jack....for everything, R.I.P buddy.
Rest in peace Captain Jack!
He will be missed
you know he's fronting a band up in heaven
Well at least he liked one or two good bands...
I ain't gonna hold my breathe.
Don't blame you but one can dream
MASTODON FOR THE SUPERBOWL
French guy here. As requested, the depiction of Marie-Antoinette says "Ha ça ira, ça ira, ça ira. Les aristocrates à la lanterne. Ha ça ira, ça ira, ça ira, les aristocrates on les pendra." Note it's said with a typical people's accent from Paris. Though not that common nowadays but clearly recognizable. The "ha ça ira" can have two meanings, literally "it'll be fine" but it can also mean "that's enough". I tend to believe in the context of the whole song which also tells about a better future, it's the first meaning that's implied here. The full translation: "It'll be fine, ... The aristocrats to the lamp post. It'll be fine, ... We'll hang the aristocrats". For those who don't understand the imagery behind the lamp post, the idea is to hang aristocrats there. Regarding the boat, it's the coat of arms of Paris. This coat of arms mentions the city motto in latin "fluctuat nec mergitur" which means "it's tossed (by the waves) but does not sink". Lots of symbols regarding what happened during the french revolution particularly in Paris. In four years at LA it would be marvelous to have the big four doing some american historical song cover.
Thanks! I knew there was an interesting set of historical items behind the symbols!
@@McLernonMulitMediaindeed, all this metal-opera show was relating a part of the french revolution. As it was guessed in the video, this is a sort of cover of a song popular during the french revolution called "Ha ! ça ira". This song seems to have been inspired by Benjamin Franklin, who, when asked about the american war of independence, invariably replied in his "bad" French: "Ça ira, ça ira". Another important historical item is the place where they played (Conciergerie) was the prison where Marie-Antoinette was held before her execution. It was the king's castle during medieval times, that's why it looks like a castle. Now it's a museum. On a less historical aspect, the view from the roofs with a hooded figure from the back is a nod to the Assassin's Creed video game which is developed by a french studio (Ubisoft). This character was there at all the opening ceremony shows.
Keep dreaming. Advertisers that pay for airtime during the superbowl never will allow a metal band. They are too afraid viewers will switch off during that performance. So they will pressure to keep the show VERY mainstream.
Metallica is not mainstream? Metallica is played during every sporting event in the U.S. and Metallica fans are in the demographic of people who have disposable income. I agree that Slipknot may not have a shot at the show but how about AC/DC?
Not in the eye of the advertisers. Metal still has an image and the way everything is polarized in the US nowadays, I am not sure the general public will be pleased. They could of course “sell their soul” to a big company, but how would their fanbase react? The reason Gojira could play at the olympics is that the event is less commercially based. The superbowl is on big commercial, where accidentally also American Football is played. I would give Metallica a better chance for the 2028 olympics.
Maybe there's some new guys doing good job as like Gojira.
What's the point. They would just default to Metallica and they would be boring as hell. They wouldn't pick a lesser known but more interesting band. We're talking a major media event in America here. They will go with the Lowest Common Denominator and safety.
I think Metallica would do the genera justice and be better than the other crap we've seen for the last two decades. It's not like to Super Bowl needs help selling tickets. But they want the name recognition I"m sure
Metallica will be amazing
Makes the most sense to me anyway
it doesn't have to be Metallica to do the Halftime show......do Slipknot....In Flames.....Gojira.......Volbeat.....Mastodon......and even to diverse a bit......Korn.......Breaking Benjamin......the list goes on
The superbowl musical performances have been nothing but crap for many years and generally I do not watch for that very reason, a bunch of B musician lip syncing to backing tracks and autotune that is not music or even close. Gojira just put on the most epic olympic performance ever and finally Metal is front and center on the world's largest stage making the superbowl shows look like amateurs. Go hard or go home. My personal choice would be Rammstein however lets keep it American for now and go with Metallica for a full half time show and now with this olympic opening off the charts-LA has to fit in Metallica in the show. Another hugely popular superbowl halftime would be Kiss or more current Ghost.
Rammstein would be cool. I think for a first metal band they'd probably pick the biggest American band
I’d love to see Rammstein. They know how to present a visual. As far as Ghost goes, America is far too Christian to allow them to play at the Super Bowl.
She will be missed....
This was excellent! Looking forward to future episodes.
Welcome aboard Hope we can entertain!!
One of the greatest....
Kudos! Grand Funk Railroad was the first band I ever saw in concert in 1971 before they added Craig Frost in 1972. To this day, they're my favorite band with Mark Farner.
Grand Funk Railroad, THE American Band 🫵
Farner's a great musician, good guy AND a deep felt Christian - there wasn't that many of them in old rock bands.
They were Gods here in Flint. Now Farner is the only still here. Frost was huge member to us.
Fast-forward to 15:00 Paul Gilbert!
