    • @BlondieSL
      @BlondieSL 5 месяцев назад

      I work with temperature/humidity sensors all the time. Most of my projects use them and in fact, I just bought more stock. With the kind of airflow this box has, it shouldn't matter where the sensor is as long as internal air is flowing over/through it. I'd love to have a "broken" one of these so that I could disassemble it to see what's going on inside. Especially with airflow and mostly, which sensor they are using. They could be using a really cheap one that easily breaks down. Even the better ones can start to degrade where humidity sensing is concerned. This is why, in all my projects, I have an option to "calibrate" the sensors. I suspect that there's not enough airflow over this particular sensor and/or that the sensor has gone non-sensitive, which would explain why, when he blew right on it, it then responded. However, if the sensor is not defective, breathing on it should send it up into the high 80% and even into the 90% range. I test mine like that all the time and when they are working, the results are consistent.

    • @CarsN3dPrinting
      @CarsN3dPrinting 5 месяцев назад

      @@BlondieSL If creality send me a new one I will send it to you if you pay for the shipping. Im waiting to hear back from them to see whats the next step. its good to know and makes sense even with air moving around that it should still see ambient humidity. i figured being in the center away from fast moving air would get better results.

    • @BlondieSL
      @BlondieSL 5 месяцев назад

      @@CarsN3dPrinting That is a very kind offer. But with the price of shipping and where I am right now, it would cost more than the device. LOL As I have a food dehydrator, I think I'll make a project to modify it and turn it into a smart dryer. It sucks a lot of power (350 Watts) so I think I'd replace their standard element with one of those 12V high efficiency ones. While we do keep out house humid, so far, I haven't had too many issues with my filament. Again, thanks for that offer. Very kind for sure.

    Thats a bit crazy. Maybe you should try reaching out to Creality Support and see what's going on with it. It could be a bad thermistor?

    • @CarsN3dPrinting
      @CarsN3dPrinting 5 месяцев назад

      Thermistor is what senses temp. a humidity sensor is what the issue is. I think its a design issue. i have a odd feeling that those slits are whats causing the issue. I did contact them and working with them on the issue. I have already verified someone els is having the issue.

      @@CarsN3dPrinting great 😂, i bought one today but it wont be available till end of may, we can probably just move the sensor, and tbh, the sensor doesnt mean shit anyway, it shows the relative hum for the air, not the filament, so just put it in the amount of time required + 2H

    • @CarsN3dPrinting
      @CarsN3dPrinting 5 месяцев назад

      @@Gagliano17 I understand its the relitive humidity in the chamber but that still repersents whats being released off the filament. 2 hours is a good start but Im not gonna belive or waste energy when it could dry faster. This is also a factor if you live in more humid state which means its gonna take even longer to dry. you cant move the sensore. its soildered to the board. I mean you can move it but whats the point for something you paid for that doesnt work. If you wanna throw your money at something that doesnt fully work go ahead. I dont belive in that moto.

I use Orca slicer instead of creality print and I incorporated the bamboo X1C profile with accelleration, jerk, quality, speed, etc. It turns out to dramatically improve the consistency between layers with little to no performance hit (sometimes gain). Just a little changes that I did: - Retraction 0.8 - Auto Z-hop - travel distance threhold 1mm - retraction and deretraction speed both at 30mm/s -wipe distance 2 mm and retract amount before wipe 0 -Adjusted the Jerk to 9mm/s = x and y 3 mm/x =z - z max acceleration - 500mm/s^3 0.2 mm layer with 0.4mm nozzle: - used the bambu labs x1c profile For PLA: - 99% shrinkage - 0.98 flow ratio - I did some flow calibrations and i managed to get a max of 30 mm^3/s with filamentone, inland and polyterra pla at 235 C and 60 C - min print speed 20 mm/s - 100% fan speeds - min fan speed threshold 100% layer time 100 s - Max fan speed threshold 100% layer time 5 s

      basically the smoother the transition of the filament tube, the less effort the filament extruder has to yank on the filament. Its preventing breaks within the tube with brittle filament, IE twinkle filament. You need to get a Humidity sensor or get a filament dryer. Dryers are like 101 with 3D printing. everyone needs one.

      Yea I had messed with a couple of those. I actually kept a couple the other way because it makes sure that it will push up against the side when it swipes. after this video I did flip a couple more but not all of them are flipped. I noticed some of the clips were cut and some wernt so its interesting why then had a human flush cut them instead of just having them printed that way. I did use your deisgn for the gantry clips. I would recomend if possible to round out the center hole where the bowden tube is in so it allows it to flex a bit more and move back and fourth as needed. Otherwise I have been happy with your design.
