How to Knit a Pumpkin on a Circular Knitting Machine| Addi Knitting Machine Pumpkins
Visit my Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/DesignedITBasement to purchase the pattern to follow along with this tutorial.
This video is a step by step tutorial on how to make a pumpkin using your circular knitting machine. I have used my Addi Express King size 46 needle, but any circular knitting machine like the Sentro 48 or others with similar needle counts will work fine. The process is the same for making the pumpkin. You will need to know how to use your specific machine to cast on, knit a tube, and cast off. Have fun making along with me!

      You have to have a basic knowledge of sewing. If you can sew, you can paper piece. If you’re new to sewing, then it’s probably a good idea to complete a couple sewing projects first before you try this. Thanks for asking.

    Thank you for this video. Have you ever had glue stains on your fabric after washing your quilt? I have washed it twice and they are like stains.

    • @jennyclark495
      @jennyclark495 2 месяца назад

      Most of the glues I have used are water soluble… so they wash out when the quilt is washed or if. Dab I with water. I haven’t experienced any stains. I’m sorry if you’ve experienced this. I’d try to see what they recommend with the particular glue you used. Best of luck!!

    What about archival concerns using glue?

    • @jennyclark495
      @jennyclark495 4 месяца назад

      Not sure what you mean? Archival in quilting?

    • @robint288
      @robint288 3 месяца назад

      In scrapbooking they talk about archival paper. In photography they talk about archival protectors. In quilting they talk about archival storage. My concern with the glue is that it will impact the fabric deteriorating sooner than if I used pins or a glue that has properties that don’t impact the fabric.

    If you’re teaching a beginners class why would you ever pick such a pattern. Why wouldn’t start with a log cabin or something with bigger pieces . This has me so confused with so many small pieces!

    • @jennyclark495
      @jennyclark495 6 месяцев назад

      This is considered a beginner pattern for Quiltworx. Sorry if you’re having trouble with it. The nice thing about RUclips is that you can pause, rewind and watch again. The steps for paper piecing are the same whether you use rectangles (like log cabin pieces) or triangles like the spikes in this one. I hope it gets easier the more you can practice.

    • @jennyclark495
      @jennyclark495 6 месяцев назад

      Yay … I’m excited for you. The technique of the month patterns that Quiltworx puts out like that one are designed for beginners to advanced but also are designed to have you take a class with a certified instructor or shop to help you tackle each booklet. I would highly recommend you seek out either a shop or instructor in your area that can help you … or lean on a friend that might have some experience in paper piecing or making a Quiltworx quilt previously. Tackle one booklet at a time, then move to your the next book. Don’t give up… just ask for help from your local area if you can! Best of luck to you.

    • @jennyclark495
      @jennyclark495 Год назад

      That's a great question! It really depends on you. I personally like to get all my papers and fabrics cut and put into the bags all at once if I can (which sometimes can be overwhelming on a big quilt) ....but that way I only have to cut things ONE time and I feel organized and ready to start sewing. But if you don't have the time or the space, and if it's easier for you to just go one booklet or block...or month.. at a time to keep yourself organized, then do what works best for YOUR situation! Good luck and have fun! :)
