Sylosis fuckin rules, this song is pretty mid tier for them tbh still high quality tho all their shit is sick. Highly recommend checking out some of their older songs like empyreal, Teras, apparitions or if you want a new one that’s even better imo deadwood. Their albums edge of the earth and monolith are some of the best riff albums ever

Wildfire isn't the best song to get into Crossfaith. It makes sense if you know the rest of their work, but... yeah, not the best entry song. Because Crossfaith is one of those bands where each song is different while at the same time has that "signature thing". But... They're a bit of an "acquired taste". And the other comment here already has a very nice list of songs, won't repeat that then.

yesss i love this song and sylosis is my favourite band of all time, u gotta check out some of their older stuff too, it has a totally different feel to the newer stuff, more thrashy and oldschool yet very ambient and atmospheric. could you please do sylosis apparitions. wow this was awesome guys i just subscribed cause i really like your guys take on this song. I loved the rhythm of this song and vocals when i first heard it i was hoping the soft part was just the beginning and that it would lead into the heavy part, but it never came and i felt it ended with something i won't get. I really hope that they come out with a heavy version of this song because that would be huge for me!

Demon Hunter is 1 of my all time favorite bands. They have such a wide range of songs and sounds, and can be unpredictable like in this video. As for this song I absolutely love it, and it has its place. This is perfect on a long late night drive, reminiscing over the highs and lows of life, and the realization that everyone of us is doomed to death and hell. Only our belief and faith in Christ can save us and make us whole. I love how Demon Hunter constantly remind me to focus on my humility and seek forgiveness. They have such deep and meaningful lyrics, just like in this song. I’m glad it resonated with you, and thank you for giving this a review.

I will say that many of their songs do build into other songs. Some songs are good on their own, but when you listen to entire albums, it’s like a perfect fit. Anyone I’ve talked to that’s listened to them will say they’ve never made a bad song. Some are great, others are fantastic. And the albums altogether are always great. Ryan Clark, Demon Hunter’s frontman, has said that Extremist is his favorite album so far. At least, it was when they first made it. And I’d have to say, after listening to actual experts say what they’ve got to say, I’d have to agree. Extremist goes HARD. I did love True Defiance before that, but apparently for them, every album is a buildup to the next one. Which is a great way at looking at making art, I think.

The list of singers that you read out for The Day The World Breaks Down is for the studio version. The live version had some different singers as some not available but did have Anneke van Giersbergen, Damian Wilson Brittney Slayes Marcela Bovio to name a few. Worth watching the music video.

Do yourself a favor amigos, also try the video version, you get most of the singers (several changed with this fantastic live performance (and all did a brilliant job) but you also get the gist of the story and info of Arjen himself during the video. Another ' Star Warsie' fun song is Ayreon's ' Intergalactic Space Crusaders'. with a Belgian singer who has a voice that could crumble mountains. Fantastic lady ! This is prog rock/metal, always changing and you never know what you get..... I was at this concert, and when the first few notes of this song were being played you could hear some jaws drop to the floor because no one expected this song to be played, being from a totally different album. An almost completely different line up of singers compared to the stutio version, and they all did a great job. Arjen writes almost eclusively concept albums, so every album tells a story, hence that many vocalists as each of them represents a different character. With only a few exceptions the storylines of the albums are connected, creating the Ayreon Universe.

It's not bad but even with more than a dozen vocalist they still don't add up to one Dream Theater.

First of all, welcome to the Ayreon rabbit hole. Ayreon is a musical project of Arjen Anthony Lucassen, a Dutch multi instrumentalist that creats metal operas (on the prog side). He writes all the concepts, at least the 95% of lyrics and at least the 95% of music and then he invites several singers and musicians to record his opera. What you saw in the video was the last encore of the concert "Live Beneath the Waves" of September the 17th 2023, where Arjen brought live the entire album "01011001" (ASCII code for letter Y). In that concert there were: 16 lead singers (the original album has 17 lead singers) and in the concert there were as many as possible of the original album singers 3 backing vocalists 8 instrumentalists. "The Day that the world breaks down" Is the First track of the album "The Source" and It has 11 main singers. You should check also the video of the studio version, because in the video Arjen himself has written some comments that let the listener being in contact with the creative process of the Mastermind. In the live version there were only 3 of the 11 original singers, so believe me: check the studio version of this Song.

Floor and Irene Jansen started doing Arjens projects in 2001. Irene does backup vocals for just about all of them.

Arjen Anthony Lucassen is a master, and with hes Ayreon projects, he bring something to the table, no one else does.. people often say yes to work with Arjen, because they repect him, and think the projects are unique to..

Nice reaction. Power metal (Manowar, Helloween, Blind Guardian, Dragon Force, Hammerfall, etc) is typical led by relentless drums and a lack of changing time signatures. Besides some guitar solos, it mainly features a verse-chorus-verse-bridge-chorus structure like pop songs and typically has cheesy fantasy lyrics. While Ayreon is often cheesy, it's generally too complex to be compared to power metal.

The similarity between "Ayreon" and "Arjen" is, apparently, co-incidental. The hero of the first Ayreon album was going to be called Aries, but than name didn't scan so Arjen extended it to Ayreon.
