What was the total cost of the whole system after all the cabling and accessories etc. you mentioned some costs like solar panels and batteries but not inverter bms etc.

Ohm's Law is a very handy formula for step-up and step-down converters. If your supply is rated at a max of 4.62A at 19.5V, you just multiply those for ~90W. Since we are stepping up to 40.9V, Ohm's Law states the highest output would be ~2.2A depending on the power lost in the conversion (a little power is always lost). However, this does not take into account the actual output of the AC/DC adapter as opposed to the advertised output. Many AC/DC adapters overcompensate and then post the minimum rated output. This means the AC/DC adapter at 2.9A x 40.9V is actually outputting almost 120W, which is well over its rated power capacity (free power is good). I personally use a 120W AC/DC adapter with a 96V converter so I can quick-charge my 20S pack to 80V at almost 2A. Yes, it is advertised at 120W, but it outputs over 150W.

Do you have a clear shot of the rear end from further back to show how it fits?

You were wise to wait until hitch was installed to cut plastic. Their measurement is off an inch and photo is wrong for Equinox. Notes on connectors is also wrong, as you found there are 16 of the 7 mm screws. I also took loose 4 T15 screws that held trim and that made it easier to get panel in and out. Did not find any pushpins that needed to be removed. Have 3LT and did not find a wiring connector, think it is an option. Thanks for posting this. As I noted below there is 8 1/4 " clearance under the hitch.

Did you look well under the car, behind the bumper cover? I expect there is a 4 pin connector there ready and waiting for an extension wire to get plugged in.

This will never be good these cells are notoriously self dischargy. You gotta use smart bms for the repair that balances all the time. It's been one year i bet that it's shit again after thiz repair. Btw no need to swap all 4 cells only one is self dischargy always.

How thick was the plywood you used?

If my new scooter is coming with a 36v 7.8 amp battery. Is it safe to assume it's a 7800mah battery pack? So would a 10s pack made of 10 individual 3000mah and 15 amp batteries be an improvement?

An insulating sheet between the positive and negative group would be a good idea, if the wrap wears between the groups it will short, just an idea, I know it's an old vid, but still good info. also what happens when the BMS disconnects from the car when fully charged, does the voltage spike?

FK YES.. that cranked amazing and finally someone uses the product in a REAL American car.. Tip for you though 3 years later I know.. Those lead battery terminals are not great for cars its better you use just a toyota or lexus OEM terminal thats copper and steel.. I can't wait to put one of these in the v8 Ranger.. o.0

Why not simply connect two identical laptop chargers in series 19 volts + 19 volts

Great job! I have already recell this kind of battery, but after I switched on the battery (yellow wire to ground) I can measure only 31V at the discharge port. Charging working well and on the battery charging port, I can measure 41,2V. What could be the problem? Thanks for your help in advance.

Quick question. Is the charging amps is 60 at 12.4-14.7, for example. Is it okay even though the alternators output is 180amps? Does the bms shorten its life?

I'm thinking about doing that I known my dad did that and added bigger tires. I think it would be better or able to tow my 5 wheel trailer but I guess that might be illegal because it be more towing then the truck is recommended to tow. So maybe removing stuff from the trailer would be better.

I had ABS solder pad on mine. It worked!! Thannk you so much. But im not sure this fills up the battery back, also im not sure if there is any settings on my sw900 lcd panel. If someone notice me about that will be happy. My hub fits nicely on the chsasis, but a torque arm may still be needed, will see.
