Correct. You first do the written test and get your permit, then after 30 days you can do road test. Don't need to wait for 12 months. You will need to surrender your license. If you need it anytime, you can collect it back. Good luck :)

Just to confirm , after writing the knowledge test and practicing for 12 months we do the driving test and voila all we need is 12 months and we get the full one as long we keep a clean record . It seems streamlined I live in Vancouver you need like 3 years 2 driving tests

Its def not just like "shit its raining outside". It's probably a mix of two things, it looks very pretty outside at first because everything is white but after some time like a day or two the snow starts to get dirty and polluted and it gets all grey/black and gross. But then it's all a personal preference as well. Personally I don't hate that much snow.

Dealing with snow is part of the life in Canada. You must adapt and set your mindset to accept it and enjoy it. Personally i enjoy it because it represents a change somehow.

Lots of international students here and with the ease of getting a work permit and PR after graduation, it's well worth it. It's ine of the easiest immigration routes at the moment. Student have no limits of working hours anymore.

Yes you should be able to but will need a licensed driver to insure it. In any case getting your permit or learner license is easy. Just a written test which u can do online in Newfoundland

I was joking about PHD. Because people with high degrees come here and end up doing jobs way below their level, but we have all start somewhere and by being patient things improve to the better and nshaAllah

@@survive.canada true, the fact I knew, not only in canada, For example is me, I never got management job as my bachelor degree since graduaded in 2002, I curently a housing contractor and repair, I was owned my comersial egg laying farm here. a construction worker generally have skill in concrete, roofing, carpentry, briks laying, etc, why ? NEPOTISM, on up level, luck factor, so most new fresh graduade worked every kind a job complitely not related to their credencial.

My friend.... Its a gorgeous city, but. It gets really boring, and first there lots and lots. But after time there is no interesting stuff. Trust me I lived in st John's for 7 years

It's a beautiful peaceful city with nice people. Finding a job is challenging but this is the case in all Canada at the moment. It's not too cold temperature wise but the weather is not stable year long. You get nice summers though.
