The only time I disliked David. Snitches get stitches jerkoff. If he had told them because he was worried about her, i wouldnt have minded, but he did it just to hurt her and keep her there. And you can even tell he felt guilty while saying it. I know Darlene was passive and cruel about them breaking up, but he had already "gotten back at her" by calling her cold hearted.

Taking your kid out of college because of pot, didn't notice David just wanted her to stay home so he could get back together with her, your kid gets so depressed because they can't find purpose in her life and gets back together with boyfriend, gets pregnant, has a bunch of kids they can't support. The thing is that David lied in this episode and they believed him over their daughter and that is messed up. Darlene said she tried it once and she didn’t like it and they treat her as if she is a criminal

I remember watching this episode live as it aired. I was a young teen then. We watched every week. I remember seeing my mom gasp and put her hand over her mouth when she saw Dan cry.

This is one of the few times when Roseanne was actually very rational and talking sense. By the way, don't record a video with loud talking people in the background. It kills the video.

Why do some people think it's a good idea to solve their problems by drinking too much alcohol?

That's Roseanne's logic right there: Your daughter does drugs so you take away her chance to have a better future for herself by forbidding her to ever go back to school. Can you imagine what it would be like if Roseanne ever did become President? Dang!

Dan’s tears represent so many years going back to his childhood being shown in a new light.

Marriage isn’t about the fancy ring, the wedding dress, and the cake, that’s not what marriage is about, marriage is about sticking it out when it gets extremely hard, it’s about sticking to each other, taking each others pain away, and talking about the things that are extremely hard to talk about, like this for example, and standing by each other when things get tough, yes Dan and rose fight a lot, and have disagreements, but they love each other and they stick it out, and rose is playing as an extreme great wife to Dan, she is his not only his wife, but his best friend, his counselor, when he needs her, to be and Dan is the same, this is an example of a good marriage, marriage is a team, and a partnership.

Some of my favorite parts from this show were when Dan would get angry and yell. Loved that.

This was really sad and emotional episode for Dan. The reason Dan hated his father so much because his father didn't tell Dan the truth about his mother's long history for mental illness.
