I wonder why you didn't use Warmaster or Warmaster Revolution rules instead? The background to WH Old World rules is similar, the descriptions fits your minis and the system is for 10mm miniatures, so you need not to recalculate measurement or find alternative rules. Or is it too complex for just the size of the armies used?

Where do you get these smaller figures?

10mm WFB FTW. How does KOW deal with the things that make WFB unique? How do you port across things like the warpfire thrower mutating models it hits but does not kill and things like plague censer carriers? Then ofc the magic that has some very unique effects? Do you have to pick from a list of troop types and choose the closet, or are there rules for making your own things? If you have to pick the closest best fit, does it still have the quirkyness of WFB? Stupidity, Frenzy, Animosity, Instability, drunken giants falling over, cannons exploding from over use, goblin fanatics, trolls regenerating, steam tanks, war altars, scouts, foresters, etc. Does it feel the same?
