Great video mate thanks the input
whats the patch harness you got? 5plug to 4 plug?
@@highwaltage yes it is 😁
Hey I have a 1J swapped Altezza, love the video! I’m pushing a puny 18/19~ psi right now. What’s your current setup and hp figures? A gap of .6 is crazy! I have mine at .22 when they were at .35 before, unless it’s some crazy Metric - Imperial weirdness lol
Hey mate, what mirrors do you guys have on your LJ’s? Cheers
@Nato_Potatoe1997 mines just a aftermarket one mounted to the side of the window frame. I do have the original wheel arch mirrors I just have to find them haha.
@@nobbsyify Thanks man. I’m chasing something like those square ones on the wheel arches. Are you able to ask around for me? Cheers
@Nato_Potatoe1997 the original square mirrors are rare and if someone has them they usually won't give them up. I suggest making your own mount and buying any square mirror to mount them too. It's probably what I'll do if I can't find mine they could be anywhere haha.
@@nobbsyify thanks! I ended up making my own ;)
@@Nato_Potatoe1997 No problem 😊
The music sounds like an LJ 2 stroke popping.
Hey man I did this j pipe delete recently on my jzx100. With an aftermarket MAXX ECU. I also have a aftermarket boost solenoid too. So my plumbing was pretty much same as you. But ever since doing the job. Car doesn’t wanna rev up. If I slowly build the revs it goes up. But if I put my foot down on accelerator hard it cuts out. Any idea why it is doing this?
This kit will not work if you have the stock ECU right?
@johnbacani2323 even with the after market ecu and still running the e-throttle it wasn't great. I ended up removing it. I don't recommend buying it with a standard ecu.
Did you gap the spark plugs or just put em straight in?
@danieljackson3088 way back then I would have put them straight in. Now I gap them because of more boost 👌
@@nobbsyifywhat boost you running? And what do you gap them out now coz I read those spark plugs come out the box at 0.8mm correct me if I’m wrong
@danieljackson3088 I believe they were .8 and I have tested .7 and .6 both felt fine. Boost is 23 psi.
the engine in this was the basis for the Orbital Engine Company's 3 cylinder 2 stroke.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane that was every day for us back in 1978 I still have my 1980 LG 80 Stockman thanks for the video
Hi, Long time no see. I just bought a hub from Garage7 and they supplied the correct one, well its on its way and its the same part number that fitted your car
Very long time 👋. It should fit then 😁 mines been great since.
4 years later and your video is helping me out! Arigatou from Japan !
Glad to help you ☺️

1jz Toyota mark2 engine what type of spark plugs should I use Long or short?
I've just used ngk bkr7's this whole time no issues.
Missed ya Nobbsy! good to see you're doing well champ, wishing you all the best for 2024! Hope to see more JZX110 content from you even if its just some cruising videos
Thanks mate same to you. I have some more 110 stuff coming. The cost of living and dad life slowed me in 2023 haha.
Just got an 03' Fortuna, looking to do this but was nervous for the setup. Great to know it's so simple and easy!
Glad to help mate!
Just bought a Jzx110 Yamaha fortuna, can't wait for it to get here. Love 110's, they are so clean and cool
can you send the link for the head unit please
Hi, does the OEM traction control still work?
Nope it doesn't.
Good morning, can you give me the paint color code of the 4x4 if you have it. thank you so much Sincerely Ludovic GISTAN.
After plenty of research and confirming with other suzuki members I found it to be "gercian ocer 748"
great car proud jamaican owner
i have bombed a LJ50 engine before you can get them to towards 50hp mark pretty easily with a better carby(motorbike), boysen reeds, exhaust (3 individual pipes), and modern 2 stroke ignition timing, the factory centrifugal weights in the dizzy don't advance the timing much about 6-8 deg from memory,, even with factory carb and exhuast if you advance the base ignition timing from std 8btdc to around 16btdc it will it better performance over all with max advance at around 24btdc which is fine for low rpm they do
I remember those cars. My father had one and I took it for a drive a few times. They have a very unique sound. You could always hear him arrive home reversing it up the very steep driveway in 4wd low range. They certainly smoke when they are cold. One day an over eager cop saw it smoking as my father left his workplace and ticketed him. He took it to the mechanic and the mechanic laughed and said, "Yeah .It's 2 stroke. Cop is an idiot". In the future he would just drive it around the workplace parking lot a few times before taking it on to the road to let it warm up. Some cops are just ticket crazy. It's like the other night I was driving past a well known speed trap area (back road with no street lighting). I had spotted the cop earlier (motorcycle cop) and later on saw him riding along slow looking down (at his on board radar). I was doing about 44 in the 50 zone although just before this somebody had gone past me doing a lot more than 50 (cop didn't see). Ps Best way to get air flow and probably rid of the smoke is NOT to open the back (sucks it in) but instead *roll up the sides and the back of the canvas*. This gives you sun protection on top but lets the air flow. I'd also be checking for exhaust leaks under the bonnet / exhaust system.
ring ding ding ding, hey?
Do you have the OEM coil pack part # by chance? Mine are completely jacked up.
I don't have it but you can look it up pretty easy. I use megazip to find oem part numbers.
@@nobbsyify thank you for the response 🤙🏽
Did u ever find out what cause the weird idle?
Ended up changing ecu and getting a retune. It's fixed now.
Do you still have the original ECU on your Mark II? I'm asking because of the self-learning phase on startup.
That connector you unplugged then plugged in again is the TPS, the connector for the motor in the throttle body is underneath the throttle body
nice video! keep it up :)
Wrong screwdriver mate, you need a JIS not philips or pozi...Japanese Industrial Standard!
Looks fun
Hey mate, nice car. I've been following you for a bit now as I have also bought a JZX110 and I have recently moved to QLD. Keen for some meets and to exchange knowledge about this platform as its not covered as much as the JZX110.
Yeah that's great mate. Always keen for meets thou I'm southern NSW so it's a bit of a drive. But feel free to message when ever.
Do you get more power out of it
What is the reason for delete it
E-throttle is laggy. Deleting it makes it very responsive.
I cannot for the life of me get the airbag to come off 🤣
That's a bugger It was that long ago now I can't give any hints to help.
@@nobbsyify managed it in the end. Had to break off a couple of clips but it’s all good 👌🏼
@Daniel Jackson ah that's good you worked it out in the end.
Where are u from sir ..

@@nobbsyify owh yahh.. im from indonesia 🇲🇨. Is there still a lot of LJ50 in Australia?
@@kureauto3842 I know of a few around but there's actually not that many. Most have rusted out on farms.
@@nobbsyify In Indonesia, the LJ 50 series has a 2T engine, so far I have never seen it... but the LJ80 version has a lot of 4T machines in Indonesia.

Just a general auto shop. Auto barn
How are the coilpacks holding up? And would you mind sharing where you got them from if you recommend using them? Cheers!! Awesome vid.
Coming on 3 years old and still going well. Running more power too and still have decent spark. Bought them from golbys online 👍 for value I rate them.
@@nobbsyify Cheers for the quick response on such an old vid man. Just put an order through for some now!
@@Ray-om6oi no worries glad to help 😊
nice clip. Stuff using the max traxx. 6 people and pick it up and move it.
is firing order and the coil and ignition lead order different, so the firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 but coil and igntion lead order is 1-6 2-5 3-4 is that correct? or does coil and ignition lead order have to be the same as the firing order? Thanks!
That's correct. Firing order is standard 1,5,3,6,2,4 and the coil leads go 1-6, 2-5, 3-4
@@nobbsyify ok awesome thanks so much dude
How’s the grip on the perforated leather ? Or is it still somewhat slippery
It's fine I've done a few drift events and haven't had an issue could always use gloves too. I chose this over the suede wheel because suede don't last and wear quickly on regular driven cars.
hey bud nice vid ! Have u got the links handy for the 2 x harnesses u bought ? cheers !
I just bought them from a local general car store. Very easy to find if you're from Australia they are at supercheap, auto barn and repco.

was an awesome night will fill my car with fuel next time😅
Yeah definitely have more fuel haha
my computer has one of them fuses and it's blown so always have to wait 10 minutes to turn my PC back on... missers plugging the kids toys in😂
Still cool never new they existed hey.
is it a big difference?
Yep. Heaps responsive. Just a little touchy as the motors hold the throttle tight and once you power over it it kinda jolts the throttle on light applications. I had it tuned in better and it's good now just coming off 0% to slight throttle it does the same other than that its great.
Ive missed you Nobbsy
Thanks mate 😁
